This place was very clean and welcoming, amazing gardens and gift shop. Pools are clean the breakfast really savory and nicely served.

The downfall was the bed for us, saddly, as much as I tried the bed was too hard.

I loved my stay in Arenal! Thank you so much to the staff for their kindness and helpfulness. The room was big and the pool and jacuzzi were amazing! Breakfast was delicious and we could do artisan craft shopping and book all our tours in the same place. AMAZING!

Nothing. Everything was amazing. I would recommend putting up a new sign on both ways of the road, as we could not find the hotel the first time at night. The artisan shop next door grabbed all the attention when compared to the sign of the hotel! ;-)

The breakfast was very good and very accommodating . My friend is vegan and they offered her the food without eggs! Very good.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel La Pradera. The room was clean, big enough, the two big beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was great too. It had a rain shower with hot water. In addition, the room had a fridge, so we always had cold drinks. We also had a separate covered terrace area with two comfortable wicker armchairs, a table and a direct volcano view. The WLAN was also very good. We especially enjoyed the 3 pools. One pool had cold water with a little waterfall, one Jacuzzi had warm water with bubbling jets and was covered. And then there was a jacuzzi with very hot water, bubbling jets and a direct volcano view. A dream, especially after long hikes! There is also a small children's/baby pool. We also liked the breakfast very much. You could choose between Plato Tipico with rice, beans and egg or Plato International with fruit salad and toast. There's also water, orange juice and coffee. The staff and the woman at the reception were also very friendly and helpful. A cosy, cheap soda with very tasty food was within walking distance (El Turnito). We went here twice as we liked it very much. But there are also many other restaurants within walking distance. We felt absolutely comfortable and would book this hotel again anytime. The room next door had a little party at midnight and there was no one from the hotel to take care of it. Needless to say, we did not sleep well our first night there.

Bed and pillow comfort

Nice cabanas and the pool/hot tub is nice. Friendly/helpful staff. They have a tour desk to schedule a wide range of day tours. Within a few minutes walking distance of restaurants and, a small convenience store and a 5 minute uber to the center of town. However, we preferred the area around us rather than the town.

It doesnt look like a resort when you pull up. I It looks like a tour agency with a large souvenier shop next door. But dont let that change your mind as it was a nice place.

Spacious room and bathroom, very good standard, everything very clean + delicious breakfast. Nice whirlpool to rest and observe Arenal after all day trips:)

"Double" bed is good for 1 person - luckilly we had 2 in the room. Small desk and chair would be nice, since the rooms were so spacious.

Location was close enough to restaurants and activities, while still being for enough away to be quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke English well.

We were right next to their main office where they opened at around 6:45am and closed around 10pm. The large metal roll up doors they closed and opened were SO loud. And the whole process lasted about 10 minutes. Not a pleasant wake up call. There was also a hole in the tub and the beds were very uncomfortable. They closed the pools at 8pm even though all their signs around the pool said 10pm.

Lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful reception staff who were so helpful especially Alejandra and Leonora. Close to activities and restaurants.

Breakfast could do with having some extra choices. The dining area could be utilised more as it has such a lot of potential maybe to serve light snacks or drinks
