Extremely friendly staff. Started in the Savanna room which was brand new. Very beautiful and clean. Best room. Because it was occupied we got the Cub room after. That was also nice. A bit more old and outdated. But had everything you needed.

I think the overall food on the hotel was a bit dull. Breakfast was good though.

Everything was excellent. I recommend it with all my heart. From the helpful staff and cleanliness of the room and the service , all was amazing. Don t forget to try their signatures cocktail on the happy hours, they were very good.

The Funny Lion was a last minute booking when our El Nido flights got cancelled. So we came to Coron four days earlier than we planned. This was literally booked one day in advance. And we lucked out. What we loved especially was the hospitality! The staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Jen at the front desk was super lovely and helpful to us. This place is geared toward adults, but even our kids (15, 8) loved it here. They agree that the staff was wonderful! Everyday they gave complimentary snacks in the afternoon. And complimentary juices and fruit. Large refillable water bottles as well. Our kids got the “Cub” room that can sleep three, overlooking the more shallow pool (with jacuzzi) My husband and I got the Mara room which is next to their deeper pool in a more quiet spot of the hotel. It was the best room, so relaxing. Good wifi!! Very clean. Rooftop bar with two jacuzzis! Saturdays they have a buffet dinner with a lovely band. We cannot say enough great things about this place.

The place is amazing and the staff are very nice. One of the best places to stay in Coron Palawan.

- Location is a bit out of the way - No gym - Quite pricy compared to other Philippines hotels - No soft drinks available (coke, sprite etc) after 11pm (other hotels in Philippines usually have a fridge serving soft drinks and beer at reception, if not in the mini bar fridge)

Very big room withhold facilities, friendly staff who assisted us with the tour bookings in Coron. Nice rooftop to relax after spending the day knowing the beautiful places and beaches close by - good spot in a city that can be very confusing during the first days.

The most guest oriented resort I have ever been. Since the welcome we found a super nice staff and plenty of smiling. The resort is very clean, 20 min walking to the main street or 5min by tricycle (30 php p/p). From the resort y can book any island hopping tour or if y wish a motorbike with same price y can find downtown. If y don't want to go for a tour y can enjoy the two nice pools and the kindness of the staff that offers y complimentary snacks, ice cream and one day we also had a free 15 min massage. Every day from 3 to 5pm in the restaurant area in front of the pool y can enjoy a different complimentary banana snack and drinks and from 5 to 7 y can have a cocktail happy hour on the roof top bar watching the sunset in a jacuzzi pool. Breakfast is also ok; the only thing that I suggest is to empower the wifi connection which is not everywhere good as needed.overall we were super satisfied and we strongly recommend this resort.

This was by far the best hotel we’ve stayed in during our holiday in the Philippines. The place is modern, comfortable and has a lot of character. The pool area has a great vibe - you can easily spend a day there if you need a break from diving/snorkeling trips. I also could’t love the staff any more - everyone is so professional, helpful and kind. I also had a massage and it was the best ever. We loved our stay at the funny lion and we are not people who give compliments easily :)

To sum it up in a nutshell - the best hotel on my Philippine trip. We stayed in a new part of the hotel, with large suites, super comfortable and a pool just for these rooms. The hotel bar is at the top, with an incredible view of the sunset, and has two jacuzzis to enjoy the view with a drink. Incredible

Our twin room was poorly layed out. There were no bedside tables and only one hard chair. The clothes hanger was by way of a short rail above/in front of the mirror in the sink area. This allowed only short garments to be hung. There was no facility for clothes storage.

Food was just ok but the staff is great! Overall a great stay.

Air conditioning had trouble with adjustments. Hair dryer conked out. Food served cold sometimes (for hot dishes). Food / drink was expensive. No closets or drawers in room.
