Hotel Tropis is one of the best hotels in Tropea, me and my family enjoyed our time here. The room was A LOT bigger than what I expected 😁. It looked newly renovated, new furniture. Not only our room, but the whole hotel is very clean and well organized. The staff is wonderful. The waiters were very polite, fast and nice. The reception staff really helpful with every request, also good English. Housekeeping ladies very discreet, didn't bother us once, yet the room was cleaned every single day. Magic! Pool/bar waiters also nice, I was given more than what I ordered. The food was ok. The breakfast swedish buffet had about everything that it should. For dinner a list had to be completed upon arrival, every day. It was structured in: antipasti, primo piatti, secondo piatti, contorni and dessert. It could have been more varied, not everybody likes fish. Pool area was awesome. The pool is not huge, but clean and sufficient. Sunbeds were also on the upper level of the pool area, on layers of synthetic grass, wonderful idea.

The distance from the hotel to the beach is a bit too long, but I already knew that before booking. Some little bottles of shower gel would have been great, like most hotels have. Also, at least one bottle of water per day was expected, didn't happen. The balcony area of the room could have been better.

Die Unterkunft liegt perfekt zwischen Bahnhof und Innenstadt. Verfügt aber auch über ausreichend Parkplätze für die Anreise mit dem Auto. Alles ist sehr gepflegt. Poolbereich, Bepflanzung etc.

Wonderful facilities, very clean, friendly staff

My room was small but clean. The pool was nice. Cocktails poolside were a plus. The housekeeping was fantastic. Breakfast was very elaborate and generous. The cappuccini were delicious. Loved the crema cornuta, watermelon, hard-boiled eggs. Don't get me wrong it's an incredible value for the money I only paid like 56 Euros a night. The air conditioning was very powerful.

It's a long brutal hike up the hill in the broiling heat of Calabria. Some of the front desk staff were not congenial. I was charged €60 for one small load of laundry and was told "we can't quote you a price up front". I did it because it was so hot I probably would have died of heat stroke walking down to the recommended laundromat near the marina. Also they were not very helpful or encouraging about scheduling me on a shuttle bus with a chair and umbrella at the beach. I never ended up doing it.

THE ROOM FOR 1 PERSON WAS VERY SMALL . It had not space to put your luggage Next time I will reserve a double room for 1 person. The rest was ok.

I don't have anything to say that I liked.

A 2 star hotel trying to disguise itself as a 4 star.
