People above overflowed tub /water dripping down for three days . Very loud footsteps above . Vehicle was hit in parking lot and security said they didn’t have enough time to look at surveillance footage. Not a very private place to stay . No dishwasher was a downer .

Was a nice little place to stay. A little small for our family of 5 but we made it work for the week.

Condo was ideal size for our family of 5, had what we needed! Staff was friendly and courteous, condo and environment were tidy and clean! Overall, just a great week!

Very nice for families with children. Too much walking for me. Nice place however just like to be little closer to beach!! My folks enjoyed the pool!!

Jack has good communication and let us know when our room was ready early! We love this unit and the property. We played mini golf, ping pong, outdoor bowling and truly enjoyed both pools the entire vacation. We home school and love how close Fort Macon is for a field trip. We are a family of three and it was perfect for us.

The condo is small, but well designed and furnished. The resort is awesome, the indoor and outdoor pools are great. The beach is lovely and not crowded. We had a great trip and look forward to staying here again!

We had a fun family gathering at the resort. Each family group had their own condo unit and this gave us a look at others in our price range. By comparison the condo we rented was subpar in terms of appearance, state of repairs and kitchen utensils.

This condo was nothing special, but adequate. Everything was clean (except living room carpet looked a bit old and questionable). Air conditioning worked very well. Nice that second bedroom (off of living room) had a door for privacy. The streaming service on the TVs was difficult to use. Overall, the condo is quite small, e.g., the entire kitchen area is in the hallway between front door and living area. Also the bathroom fixtures and cabinets are quite dated, the closet in the main bedroom is cluttered with so much stuff (including an old washer) that it’s unusable, kitchen storage space for any food brought in is very minimal.

We’ve stayed in several units at A Place At The Beach over the last few years. This particular unit is overdue for a new couch and bed mattresses. Compared to other units in this complex this one just felt much smaller to us. It also does not have a clothes washer/dryer or dishwasher. The unit was not cleaned as well as others in years past and there were several food and other items left behind from previous tenants. The security guards were rude in their demeanor in regard to the wrist band requirements at the pool again this year. I suppose it’s possible that my wife along with our nine and four year old daughters look like the type to sneak into a crowded private pool. Overall, would not stay in this unit again. After repeat years of rude security staff I’m not sure that we will stay in the complex for future vacations.

Kitchen a little small...but overall, a good place to stay.

We were very happy with our stay here! Both pools were fantastic as well as the beach access. The only downfall is there was a dead cockroach in the living room and by the staircase that made us worry a little. But otherwise the place was great, easy to work with and great water pressure in the shower! Would absolutely recommend and return!! When entering the address make sure to select EAST Not west as that takes you to a different location. This is a fantastic place for a family!!!!

We had a good stay. Everything worked and owner was responsive. It’s pretty small but I give it 5 b/c it is worth the money. Beach access is very easy and the beach is really wide here which I loved. You can actually walk all the way to Fort Macon on the beach… a couple miles… The couch is good to sleep on for one but definitely not pulled out…unless you have very small kids…but even then?? Visitors and staff alike were all very kind… Indoor and outdoor pools were great. Bring ear plugs… walls were pretty thin…and there were very few people when we were there so I would imagine it gets pretty loud…Just a heads up if you’re noise sensitive. I still say it was worth the money.

We love this location, very family friendly, nice amenities, our host Jack was very responsive with any of our needs. Will definitely be back.

This condo was efficient for our family of fives needs for a place to stay & enjoy the outdoors of the crystal coast. The room was a little tight for a family of five to lounge in the main living room sitting area but we spent most of our stay out on the beach or enjoying the complexes amenities outside so it fit the bill for a place to fix simple meals, clean-up from the days fun & get some rest to start again. I would not recommend a group of 6 adults staying here & planning to spend much time indoors or get good sleep, as the pull out sofa wasn't very comfortable, but it was fine for our 3 year old, and the hallway kitchen is tricky for traffic flow while cooking a meal. Lastly, I mistakenly thought this unit was on the SE facing side of the complex but it on the SW facing side; we got to see the beautiful ocean sunsets instead of sunrise like we hoped but that wasn't a huge disappointment. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay! Second time at A Place at the Beach condos & it's definetly one of our favorite lodging accommodation locations!

It was smaller then I thought my grandsons room was like a closet the pools gates were locked 3 morning out of 6.

Wonderful vacation for a family. Lots to do on site. Great pools with wood swings around the outside pool. They were great for watching kids swimming. View was amazing and Jack was responsive with with communication. Food lion and Walmart are just a short drive away. Good size refrigerator if you want to fill with snacks and drinks. Loved that Jack provided a laundry basket for you. Large closet in master if you need to hang up any clothes. AC was wonderful after a day at the beach. I grew up on the shores of East Coast and this is the best beach by far. Clean beach with benches and a swing along the way and multiple places to wash of the sand. Would definitely come back again. Just remember to bring your beach towels.

Jack was very thorough with it everything!! He even messaged us when our condo was clean sooner than expected 😁 The condo was in great condition, and very clean. Probably could use a few more cooking utensils, but it was only the 4 of us. My boys (5and7) loved having their own room, but usually fell asleep on the couch watching tv!! They also loved having their own bathroom. My only complaint was with our late check in. We got there late, around 9pm. Our packet was in a lock box, we didn’t have the code. We called security though who was there in about 15minutes. Thanks Jack for a beautiful stay ❤️

If you enjoy the beach without too many people and a non commercial area, Atlantic Beach is the place to go.

We had a blast! The condo was very clean! My kids loved the outdoor pool with water slide. The property is very close to the beach and has an indoor pool as well. We would definitely stay here again!

The place was clean, in a great location, and communication with Jack was effortless.

We were very disappointed with this unit. When you walk in the door you enter a hallway from the master bedroom to the living room. It is about 3 feet wide and halfway down is the kitchen. Two people cannot stand shoulder to shoulder in the hallway, and the counter space and cabinet space are extremely limited. The kitchen is not well appointed. Food prep in the condo is very difficult. Cramped is the best description of this unit. In the VRBO add for the condo under “amenities” there is a picture of a washer and dryer, leading you to believe those are in the unit. But if you read further down the page you discover that the laundry facilities are communal, down a level and at the end of the hall. I was not careful enough to read this information so I contacted the owner/host who pointed it out to me, but also informed me that the laundry room was under repair and unavailable. He denied any responsibility for failing to contact me prior to arrival. One positive to the stay was that the owner replied quickly to my messages, another is that A Place at the Beach is very nice.

The renting of the condo was fast through VRBO. The property is so much better than the pictures portrayed. This is a fantastic vacation spot with everything a family of all ages would want.

Had a wonderful week at APATB. The condo was perfect for our needs. Very clean and the little balcony was perfect for morning sunrises! Jack was very prompt answering questions before our trip. We had no issues needing his attention while there. Loved the outdoor pool and hot tub when not on the beach. Plenty of social distancing space at the pool and on the beach! Hope to visit again next year!!!
