The breakfast at the restaurant located on the property was excellent and our server was amazing. Great customer service(can’t remember his name but he was a very nice gentleman).

We arrived at the property around 2pm to check in. The ladies at the reception counter had no knowledge or paperwork pertaining to our accommodations, because the owner of the apartment failed to provide them with that information. But they accommodated us by providing us with wrist bands, so that we could access the amenities on the property until they were able to sort things out for us. They tried contacting the owner of the apartment we had the reservations with and was not successful. My daughter googled and found a number for someone named Janice. Got her on the phone and she had no info about our reservation. After several hours Janice gave me a price to pay reception for our stay, which was higher than what was advertised on booking.com. Finally, got into the room and the first thing to great us was a HUGE dead cockroach in the middle of the floor. Then I went to shower and there was no hot water. Not only did we not have how water, the TV did not work, the wifi didn’t work and the fridge stunk…because it doesn’t work and they had it closed. The only thing that worked in this apartment was the AC…thank God. This room needs to be condemned. But speaking with other guest’s on the property, they didn’t have the same experience. I don’t think the owner for our apartment cares about the guests, it seemed to be all about the money. Which is a bad reflection on Sandcastle , because it’s a beautiful, well maintained place, however; our apartment was worse than the dump. We slept with the lights on because my daughter was terrified of the roaches and that was the only way to prevent them from coming out at night and crawling around everywhere. Throughout my stay I didn’t meet anyone responsible for this specific room and on the morning of checkout I complained to reception, they tried to contact the owner and was unsuccessful. I didn’t even receive my refund that was over charged. My recommendation is ….stay at Sandcastle, BUT STAY AWAY FROM STUDIO 27A.🤮🤮🤮

Very Good location. We had to extend our stay in Ochi and they were quite flexible with it and accommodated us.

I asked the cleaning lady how often she would come and clean the room, she said every 2days which didn't happen, after 7days I had to ask her and clean the apartment. Found few cockroaches in the room.

Room not stocked with basic items and linens, no towels for the pool. Nothing for wash up or to do dishes and only a sheet on the bed.. Stove, kettle and shower not working, waited 2 days to shower as not draining. Toaster and coffee pot hidden away and not available for use Limited cups and cutlery Fridge dirty on arrival Lack of response from. Janice and owner. Only got a response from owner late and after I had to go to the front desk to have maintenance come and Janice called directly from the front desk. Wasted 2 days waiting to have items fixed Unfair exchange rates Being hustled on the grounds and locals around inside past security Extremely rude female bartender at the pool bar Should receive money back due to all the trouble and having nothing working and waiting 2 days around instead of enjoying our holiday Inaccurate photos of the room and items supplied. Pictures showed a full stove and oven with different cupboards and headboard Listed as stove, Toaster and coffee pot and nothing like that there

The bathroom is very small. The place had signs of roaches. The beds were uncomfortable.

Location was great good for food, beaches and duty free items.

I'm assuming that this particular studio has a sole owner, it would have been good if we had house keeping more then one day, for the number of days stayed. Trash accumulated and bathroom needed attention, on the other side the resort has an entrance onto the beach which only can be entered beginning from 8:30 am. However the beach was awesome and the food was good and the people are outstanding!!!

I like that this location is in the middle of everything. It was easy to walk to supermarkets and stores to shop for souvenirs. Great tour guides willing to travel anywhere in the city to show you a great time. Facility has a beautiful variety of plant life all around the hotel.

Front desk doesn't care much for the private guest and will not help you unless you make them by constantly asking for help. Check in is confusing and torturous, nobody seems to know anything and frequently passes the problem from one employee to the other like the playing catch with your time, energy and patience. The pool is not clean, no ice, no water, no wifi for guests waiting 5+ hours to check-in because front desk doesn't want to speak up and say "hey we only take cash" so they'll have you waiting forever for the owner to contact you but you won't have any service if you aren't from Jamaica. So after hours of asking for help, the owner is finally contacted using the hotel phone, which will be thrown in your direction and then snatched away when you are done. Housekeeping where... my entire room was dirty including the towel for the floor by the tub. I reserved a room for 4 guests but only given 2 towels and one semi clean washcloth. No amenities what so ever included in this stay besides dirty dishes and cookware. The beds were extremely hard and you can feel the springs when you lay down. The blankets had burn holes despite the No smoking signs posted. No cleaning supplies available, brooms and mop were practically unusable, trust me I tried to use really hard I have two small children and they constantly make crumbs. Those brooms are a joke everytime I sweep the crumbs just stay on the floors I have to hand swipe them into the dust pan that was very nasty. To get to the beach you have to go through a gate if she leaves before you do you will be stuck on the other side of the "jail" until you walk around to the front of the property or someone comes to open the gate. Sandcastles does not provide beach chairs nor towels for beach goers. You will have to pay the beach to use a chair or umbrella.

First of all The host was not very professional as the room door did not lock right from time we got there had to waste my time waiting for her to come and figure it out then I paid to much money as I checked in around 4pm and had to be out by 11am so not even a full day for 15000 Jamaican dollars I contacted host to stay a bit later but was told no fill like I got ripped off didn't get time to do nothing as when I booked I wasn't told pool closed at 5pm and beach closed at 4pm and it was no where in the ad it was a total waste of time and money also beds where like sleeping on a boxstring with out mattress not good at all
