Fantastic view of Bilbao, absolutely loved our room. Ignacio was always friendly and very helpful at the concierge desk. We enjoyed the walking paths nearby and the near proximity to the funicular. A short drive by car to the casco viejo.

Room had a lovely view, 2 good sized single beds both comfortable with very clean sheets. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice room, stunning views of Bilbao from the tiny balcony. Very good location - 2.5 km (5 min by car) to Artxanda funicular; nearby the station, a lot of free parking places. Note that at the Artxanda funicular station you cannot buy a Barik card for public transport, you can only recharge it or buy funicular tickets.

No insect nets.

The location is perfect for those who can walk up the hill via the footpaths. The hotel itself is located in the Anillo Verde, which is fantastic.

We didn't get the room we had booked and paid for. We paid for a room with aircon and a balcony. It was 35°C at 3pm, so aircon is not a trivial matter. Initially, we were given a pleasant room with neither aircon nor balcony. We went back to the reception to politely enquire why. The friendly gentleman found us a nice room with aircon. Another chap on reception was not really very obliging , and stated bluntly that we had to request those features specifically. I responded, " why would I request features that were included in my room's description?" After driving for 5 hours, I didn't want to get into an argument, so not a great start. The aircon worked well in our new room; thank you to the kind gentleman on reception.

we have a car, and this hotel was just out of town with a parking lot. So it was easy to find Breakfast for 10 euros was very good. and they upgraded us to a wonderful upstairs apartment

A bus stops in front of the hotel that goes into town. but it’s every hour Took us a day to figure out the timing of the various stops

Beautiful views over Bilbao and a nice walk to get to the city. Our room was beautiful and tastefully decorated. There was even a telescope in the room, what a nice touch! The bed was in the middle of the room, so it immediately felt very spacious. I had to work a bit (unfortunately) but with two desks and decent wifi that was not a problem. The front desk staff was super friendly. I also went for a 5k run and there is a nice footpath adjacent to the road with superb view over the city. I'd love to visit again.

Only a nice-to-have: There was only tea in the room, it would've been nice to also have a packet of instant coffee.

Not sure if the attached restaurant has the same owners but paid the same amount of money for 2 courses and 2 glasses of wine as I did for the room. Amazing setting and view but poor value for money food.
