Every staff member made us feel so welcome. At check in the receptionist was warm, professional and extremely helpful. The bar staff and wait staff were amazing, very accommodating , especially when my 9 year old grandson asked at least 3 times a day for his “pina colada” The breakfast was fabulous with many freshly made choices

Parking was convenient, just outside the hotel.
Our room stank. It was the stench of damp mixed with some kind of cleaning agent which instantly gave me a headache. After reporting the problem to the front desk, I was told that all the rooms on the ground floor smelled like that and that it was normal (what an irony, it's a shame they don't mention this in their hotel presentation). They offered us an upgrade to a better room for an additional fee on the floor above where the receptionist assured me there was no odor. I agreed, but asked to be shown the new room first. Upon entering the room, there was the same stench. We were offered no other solution to the problem. We stayed in our ground floor room just because it was one night. Moreover, the kitchen appliances were old and dirty/not cleaned properly. I do not recommend this hotel.

The room was great. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Wifi was easy. Kitchen was good with a full size refrigerator and stove. No oven though. The pool was really the best part - we made friends there which I wasn't expecting in only 2 days, my child got to play with other kids, it wasn't too noisy, and the breakfast was fresh and tasty every day. Laundry in unit was important!
The couch was a bit uncomfortable, and the stairs to the loft were really steep which made us feel it was a bit dangerous for our child but we managed. I wish the balcony was a bit more private because we felt like everyone could look into the room but it was nice and plenty of pretty yellow birds saying hello so it's okay. The laundry in unit wouldn't drain on our last day so it was a rush at check out to remove as much water as possible and ring out each piece of clothing and put it in the dryer, but we ended up leaving with 2 bags of wet clothes. I said this at the front desk and they offered to put it in their dryer but it was getting late and we had to leave at that time. Our rental car was hit in their parking lot across the street so park AWAY from everyone.

the room was shockingly small. we literally could not fit our bodies + suitcases (2) in the room. and we could hear every word spoken in the room beside us and in the hallway

the internet did NOT work much more often than it did work. The establishment has NOT returned our $250 damage deposit, even though they assured us that they had done so! when trying to rectify this, we were unable to contact a representative by phone or message. we are very unhappy with this development.

the room was clean and comfortable. The location was close to Jaco Beach, but the street that it was on was not the prettiest walk to the main part of town. Breakfast was great and the staff was awesome.
My only complaint about the hotel would be that it lacked soap and papertowels in the kitchen. They did not offer an option at the counter to buy supplies such as laundry soap, liquid dish soap, etc. That would have been really helpful. The hot tub was not hot, so to me that was not great, but I am always wanting more heat so most people may have been fine with it since the weather was perfect.

The room service, location, food, breakfast, cocktails, staff, personal plunge pool, and shared pool were amazing. We were blocks from shopping, dining, and the beach. It was a great stay. We were impressed with the lengthy menu with so many great food options and EVERYTHING was delicious.
Because our 14-year-old had a not-so-comfy sofa hide-a-bed, we requested moving to a two bed or two bedroom room, however nothing was available. Our bad though as that's what we booked.

Facilities are fine, clean and confortable room with all appliances you need even to prepare your own food. The staff attention and service was excellent, they were kind and friendly. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel is really pet friendly as they advertise.
Wifi connecting was not good, the signal strength some times was low and connection drops constantly, so if the travel is for work, I don't recommend this place, at least ask first if the hotel have some alternatives for connection.

Rooms were noisy whenever someone was moving around in adjacent rooms, or talking, moving furniture etc., noisy dogs barking were allowed. If your on the mountain view side the truck noise was pretty loud at times.

I asked for a room on the backside of the hotel a 6 months earlier then the date that we would arrive.
i asked because of the view on the hills and the birds because i,m a photographer . When we arrived they did not know about this request but i had a response email that time that they would do this. Later on we got the reqeusted room.
Breakfast, please change it because if you stay for a longer period it get's bored to choose between the poor choices
Toast or wafels with eggs ect. would be great, lots of guets did not eat their breakfast so we noticed. We stayed in
for 1 day in Hampton by Hilton San Jose Airport and that breakfast was super great and the hotel was simple no high class hotel look it up and maybe you can improve upon that.
