LOVE the mission and the NGO. It is legit and that's what makes it extremely worth living here!! Room was great, room service was good and the staff were friendly and spoke English well. Hot water/water pressure worked really well. There was free drinking water readily available, which is not always the case at other hotels.

Breakfast, while delicious, could have been more filling. The location is still a 10-minute walk from the center, which was fine for us!

We liked the peaceful setting. There were comfortable chairs available on the terraces and in the garden, as well as a hammock. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was always helpful.

Great location just 5min. walking from old centre. super friendly staff, extreme clean, peacefull/airy building. Very comfortable and modern (bath)room (by far the cleanest I’ve experienced in Mexico). Nice and tasty breakfast, good tour experience, I usually never book this at hotels but this one (Téotitlan, Hierve el Agua, Mitla, Mezcal farm, Tulle all in 1 day) was a really nice informative and day filling experience. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

everything was perfect

Breakfast was nice for the 3 days we were there (you get yoghurt with granola and fruit + a dish of the day - you also get some bread but it was quite hard). Of course, we also like the social purpose of the hotel and the staff was friendly. They also have drinking water constantly available with dispensers throughout the hotel. Laundry possibility was also a plus, since we needed it :).

The biggest disadvantage of this hotel for us was the fact that we did not have any privacy at all in our bathroom due to the “ventilation domes/shafts”. I only read it in a few other reviews, but we could literally hear everything of the bathroom above us (as in, really every sound but also conversations if they were in their bathroom at the same time). Also, we specifically chose a hotel and room which has AC, but the room we initially got did not have this. When we asked the staff about this, they first said there was no other room available. Later that day, we spoke to someone else and somehow/luckily then they could give us another room which did have AC (and was much needed with 30+ degrees).

Wonderful property with a great mission. The breakfasts were delicious. The kitchen staff was very friendly and always willing to share recipes and suggests places to eat. The reception staff was berry accommodating

It may be a bit of a walking distance to the center of town for some people. I found the walk safe and very enjoyable.

Breakfast was very good - a plate of fruit with yogurt and granola, followed by a hearty protein dish. Staff was all very helpful and friendly. The room itself was comfortable and kept clean. Hotel is lovely. Oh, and the social mission of the hotel is an extra benefit to spending your money there.

Location was good, though not as central as some other hotels -- a 10-15 minute walk to get to the heart of Centro. However, our room was quiet, and the value was well worth the tradeoff.

Brilliant hotel right in the heart of Oaxaca. Rooms are modern, well-designed and very clean. Staff are lovely. Breakfast delicious. Also has a great rooftop with comfy chairs to sit and have a drink or do some work. And all this to know that the hotel is giving back to the community - great!

I loved everything

My room was very loud. My bathroom had an open vent or some sort that let all of the outside noise in. I was unable to sleep through the night without sound. Other rooms may have better sound control.
