Great having the inside pool and outside hot tub. Everything in the house was great , comfy beds, enough towels, toilet roll. All the essentials were provided!

We arrived at the property on Friday afternoon and we stayed for the weekend. When we got there it was all nice and tidy. Very nice location and the hot tub was great. The cleanliness could have been a bit better. We found rubbish and dirty sanitary products in the annex building. The fridge hadn't been cleaned and was quite dirty inside. There isn’t a lot of storage as the fridge/freezer is quite small. The pool was great but the chlorine levels in the pool was very high and this was catching the back of your throat and you felt quite sticky when you came out of the pool. The hot water went cold after a few people had showers so we boosted this and it was hot within a short time. The beds could’ve been a bit comfier especially the single beds as these were a bit worn out. Other than this the house was great! It was in a lovely location, very easy to find. The communication with the owner was great and he kept us well informed. I would definitely come back.

This was a last minute purchase due to a change in covid restrictions which meant we were unable to go to the property we had booked. Communucation with the owner was good. There were a few issues when we arrived and the owner fixed what he could and provided workarounds where he couldn't. Directions to the property would have been good as not easy to find. Also no instructions provided on how to access the property. The property has a huge sitting room, a dining kitchen and a large conservatory so there is lots of break out areas and this could be great if you had kids with you. The kitchen is high spec and very well equipped.but the fridge freezer has seen better days. Poor ventilation in shower rooms has caused damp and mould which makes them feel unclean. Wifi is non existent Pool area a bit tired and im not sure there was enough chlorine in the pool as it was unusable by day 3. All in all we had a good time. But felt that it didnt live up to the price tag.

The house worked very well for all 4 generations of our family to celebrate together for a few days. The temperature of both pool & hot tub were good. The oven controls are faded so more info would have been useful. Justin responded promptly & provided a solution when outside light failed

As a family of 12 over three generations it was an excellent place for us to spend Christmas. The living areas worked very well - (even with one older person in a wheelchair) - and all enjoyed a very good warm swimming pool. Justin was always available to answer questions in advance - all went very smoothly. Thank you Justin - we had a great time.

5* property. Only small thing is Annex seems to lock/unlock from outside but wont work from inside. Didn't hinder the stay at all and enjoyed ourselves.

Had the most wonderful time! Utilised the retreat as a base to host a gathering of friends, well maintained property and great location. Host easily accessible. Only issue was that the pool was over chlorinated. Would highly recommend this property

Overall, we had a very nice stay in this spacious house. We have some positive and some negative comments, but some of the negative points could easily have been avoided. The house has some "has seen better days" about it, but that didn't keep us from having a good time. On the plus side: For a group of 12 friends, the house was spacious enough, both for dinner and in the lounge area. The hob/oven was larger than standard, and plenty of cookware. Spacious fridge and ice cube maker was also a plus. The best thing about the house, though, was the jacuzzi and pool, which stayed at very pleasant temperatures and worked perfectly all week. Bedrooms mostly neat and cosy. Location is quite rural, but close to airport and main road, which was very useful. On the minus side: Wi-fi was very slow. For those of us who needed to keep up with work emails inbetween, it was a challenge, and just logging into Facebook would take ages. Kitchenwise, a house meant for 15 people should have more than 11 table knives... And at least one identical wine glass for each person. We realise these are items that tend to disappear or break, but this should be resupplied to avoid this unnecessary bad impression. And we suggest supplying the house with a knife sharpener, or to advise guests to bring their own cooking knives. Since 2 of the 3 bathrooms in the main house are ensuites, the bathroom capacity is a bit limiting at times. Beds are well sized, but appear quite worn. Fresh top mattresses might help. Finally, no instructions for house entry were received from HomeAway, neither on website, email or in the app. We were able to contact the owner on the phone, though, so problem was sorted quickly. Overall, we had a good experience, and would recommend the house to other guests.

Lovely property. Very compliant and helpful owner. Everything as described. Warm pool and hot tub. We were 4 families and we all enjoyed. Definitely will come back again.

We had a wonderful weekend at The Retreat in Redmill. From the start of the weekend to the end we felt comfortable in the very cosy and homely surroundings. The hardest decision we had to make over the weekend was whether to go in the hot tub, swimming pool or sauna! The facilities were superb and allowed for a fantastic weekend to relax and catchup with friends. Communication with the owner was very quick and easy and we would definitely recommend this stunning place to stay to anyone in the future.

Very clean and we'll presented property. The group of us had a great stay, the space and layout is perfect. We found the pool a bit cold but no one was that bothered. Checkout time is quite early but it did make us get up and get on with it. Like a previous review, I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned 2 wks on.Other than that I can't really fault the place and would recommend it to anyone.

I booked this amazing place for our works weekend away! And it was the best ever. Hot tub and poo. We're the best and the rooms were all so big and spacious. Kitchen and living room were fab for all of us. Highly recommend, we are booking for 2016!! Thanks x

Despite one or two minor issues on arrival, which were immediately rectified, and us only locating four bathrooms and one shower room, we had a lovely holiday. (Details state 6 bathrooms)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. Adjoining pool to the main bedroom gave it the wow factor! However on the Saturday morning we had no hot water for showers in the main house so this was a bit disappointing. What is more disappointing and unacceptable is that I am still waiting to receive my deposit back or even hear from the owners regarding this despite sending an email asking about it. 14 people are out of pocket. We have been waiting a whole week.Hopefully will get a response soon.

we had a brilliant stay here over new year! The house was immaculate and very modern. The owner was available by telephone at all times if we had any questions. Would highly recommend and will be returning!!

Absolutely loved this house! Its was spotlessly clean, plenty room, facilities are outstanding - the pool was lovely and warm and attached to the house. The hot tub worked perfectly throughout our stay and the owner popped in to refresh water and chemical it for us - staff were lovely to!, We had a ball, kids loved it and can't wait to go back, They don't advertise it but there are 2 beauty rooms which are just for guests using the house, 3 of the Mums in our party had ESPA facials which were fabulous :) def recommend :))
