Erst vor kurzem renoviert, ist die Wohnung im zweiten Stock eines restaurierten Gebäudes sechzehn Jahrhundert an der malerischen Rue de Mai entfernt. Very spacious, updated and good location if do not mind the stairs. Specifically the bedrooms are upstairs and bathroom is down. All was good, just good to know. Close to train station and beach. Car not necessary and no parking spot, but If you have a car, you can buy a week-long pass in town that helped reduce parking costs.

My daughters and I spent 5 days in this gorgeous apartment. It was steps away from a grocery store, shops, restaurants and the beach. The apartment had all the amenities of home which made us feel like part of the Rivera family. Would highly recommend.

We loved the location. We wanted the small French town experience and this property delivered that. Close to the train station, wonderful restaurants all around, and the Mediterranean Sea very close and can even see it out the window. Great communication. Donna met us at the apartment and gave recommendations, showed us how to use the washing machine and more. Only thing was the stairs—being from the US we didn’t give the stairs in the town and to get into the apartment much thought until we had to climb them a lot. 2 of the people on the trip were older and struggled a bit but they both thought it was totally worth it and we all enjoyed our stay so much.

This property made our Villefranche vacation just perfect. The communication with both the owner and property manager was outstanding. The location in old town was ideal as it was close enough to all of the shops and restaurants we liked but also (and importantly) very quiet at night. The air conditioning was a huge plus as it was very hot during our time there. Everything was super clean and well-appointed. Bottom line….we visited Paris right after and all of us said to a person that we would go back to Villefranche (and this property specifically) in a heartbeat over Paris again. Thanks so much for your wonderful hospitality!

Spacious, bright and modern apartment in a 16th century building. Very well situated on a stepped passage for access to restaurants, shops, bus stops and train station. Both the owner and on site greeter were very helpful. Apartment was well furnished, well stocked and very clean. Would certainly return.

This was a cute condo in an excellent location with some nice conveniences such as more than ample AC and a washer/dryer unit which worked well. The shower was nicely sized, and the beds were very comfortable.
The only real drawback was the layout, which was a bit odd (but can’t really be helped by the owner). The bedrooms are both upstairs, and the bathroom is downstairs. Also the bedrooms have slanted ceilings and even adults under 5’5” can hit their heads when getting out of bed in the second bedroom. Overall, these things are worth considering but didn’t impede on our enjoyment of the trip.
The best thing about the place was the convenience to everything in Villefranche-sur-Mer, and also to the train station which allowed super easy travel to Nice and Monaco. Such an amazingly beautiful area! We enjoyed our stay in Villefranche tremendously.

We enjoyed everything about this apt. Sunny, lovely decor, all the amenities, and an incredible location in Villefranche- sue-Mer, just a short walk to bakery, shops, restaurants, the harbor, and the beach. We would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for us!

Property was well located, clean and comfortable and near to small local shops the station and sea front. The disappointing elements about the apartment were a rusty radiator in the bathroom, missing or broken light bulbs and a loose kitchen tap.

Beautiful spacious apartment, great location, (although be aware there are a lot of steps in Villefranche sur Mer) and the most comfortable beds we encountered whilst holidaying.
The only negative was some of the pots and the coffee machine had not been cleaned by previous tenant, and this had not been picked up by management

My family Ioved this apartment. It was bright and spacious in the heart of the veille ville. 7 min walk from the train station or the beach. Surrounded by the best restaurants. A hike or drive to the fort St Alban is worth it for fabulous views. A stroll through the Citadel was well worth it as well.

Lovely place in the best location
We enjoyed our time in Villefranche and appreciated all this apartment had to offer - space for a family of 4, the best location in charming old town, comfortable beds, nicely decorated, all the conveniences (dw, washer dryer etc). The town was nice to explore and the beaches fantastic.

Lovely apartment in Vieelfranche
A very nice apartment in the old town of Villefranche.
Entering the apartment you are immediately struck by the feeling of space with high ceilings in the main room and a good amount of light. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, well equipped and suit the apartment. The bedroom on the mezzanine is light and airy, and provides access to the second bedroom.

Great ability to communicate and looked after all of our needs.. Lovely clean apartment. Located right in the old town with such interest and history right outside our door. Wonderful boulangeries, epiceries and restaurants right there.

Wonderful Accommodations in great Old Town location.
We are two friends who really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable and pristine apartment in a tremendously convenient location for all that you might want to do. Local stores just around the corner. Bus and train within 10 minutes walking. Two of the popular small restaurants, La Belle Etoile and Le Serre practically outside your door. Excellent place.

Lovely week in Villefranche
We had a wonderful time staying at this property in Villefranche . Donna, the property manager, was super accommodating when our flight was cancelled and we had to arrange for check-in the following day. She was very friendly and provided great local recommendations upon check-in. The apartment itself is situated in the perfect location in Villefranche, right at the center of everything. It was ideal for going to the beach, restaurants as well as catching the train or bus to explore other areas. The apartment is very clean, updated and bright. It is well outfitted with amenities and has air-conditioning, which was so nice to come back to after being out in the heat all day. If we return to Villefranche one day, I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location, Clean and Bright
Dead center of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Apartment was bright, airy and clean. Property manager Donna was excellent with great recommendations for dining but be sure to make reservations. Would stay there again.

Great location for quick getaway
We had a lovely stay indeed. All was perfect but I must say that the apartment was unfortunately very dusty and I had to re-wash a lot of dishes and found that the floors had light dust everywhere which left marks on anything we had placed on them. Could have been from that it was recently painted? We were not there very often however and this was a small hiccup to the beautiful location and building we were in. Many thanks!

Great location in the lovely village of Villefranche-sur-mer
Wonderful location in Villefranch-sur-mer. First about the town. This is where you want to stay in the Nice area. Having driven around a bit, this is the perfect town with small restaurants, a quiet waterfront, and easy access to Nice, Monaco and anywhere else you would want to go.
The apartment is lovely - newly renovated with a modern kitchen and bathroom, comfortable sitting area, and two separate rooms upstairs. As others noted, you will hear the church bells every morning at 7am - they chime 7 times, pause, 7 times, pause, then 30 times. For early risers, this is a lovely way to wake up but our daughter was unimpressed ;-)
Our host was very friendly and even brought us a lovely gift of wine. She had great restaurant recommendations and was easy to contact with any questions. We parked for free during our stay along the street toward the train station. In the late afternoon, commuters from Nice arrive and drive their cars home. This is a good time to snag a spot. You can then leave your car and use public transport at this point.
As others noted the windows face the apartment across the alley. This apartment was closed while we were there but had it been occupied I would have wanted curtains for privacy rather than have to close the shutters.

Perfect location, perfect apartment
Our stay in Villefranche was made about as perfect as it could be with our stay in this wonderful apartment. Heart pounding stair climbing aside, it truly is located in the midst of old town. Views out the windows, a walk down the street, are all picture postcard. Air conditioning during sweltering weather provided more than a welcome relief.
The apartment was spacious and roomy for our family of three (3 generations). The kitchen well equipped, nice bathroom, and plenty of lounging space. Bedrooms roomy, although one must watch their head on the angled ceilings! Even beach umbrellas were provided for the short walk down to the beach and in that searing sun much appreciated.
All communications with owner regarding booking were promptly responded too, and property manager Donna was just the best. She was there when we arrived, filled us with information and aided with any assistance requested. She was also easily reachable by text during our stay for random questions.
We all absolutely loved our stay at this property and if I return would certainly make every effort to stay there again.

Wonderful apartment with great location.
My husband and I had a wonderful visit to this very comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment. The apartment had everything needed for a great stay. The location of the apartment is very interesting and so convenient to so many historical places. It was a nice quiet place to come home to after sightseeing. We also enjoyed the restaurant recommendations just a few steps form the apartment. We would highly recommend when visiting the area staying in this wonderful apartment.

Perfect location
This apartment is perfect location! Close to train, markets, and bakery, and restaurants. It was perfect place for me to either relax at home or provide me with a home base after an afternoon of touring the village or visiting other nearby villages.
The apartment was clean and exactly as it shows in photographs. No surprises.

Lovely apartment, well appointed and comfortable. Very close to everything you want to see and do.
As a family of four we found the apartment a perfect size. The bedrooms in the loft space are lovely and bright. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook meals. The addition of shower gel/cap and sewing kit were thoughtful and helpful additions, as were things like laundry and dishwasher tablets.
We loved the location, and spent some time watching the world go by out the living room windows on Rue de May. There are lovely restaurants just a few steps away and the beach is a manageable walk. The train station is also close by and the trains to other locations along the riviera are regular and fast! We would love to return!
My only comment for improvement would be the addition of a blind on the small window in the twin room. All other bedroom windows are fitted with blackout blinds, but this one. We carry a portable one with us, but had we not had it, the light would have been a problem for our children.

Modern, spacious in a great location!
We loved this apartment and highly recommend it. It was clean, light and airy, spacious and had all the comforts of home! The bed and bedding was super comfy, as was all the furnishings. We had a dreamy time, and if we ever make it back to the South of France, will stay again.

really nice place
The flat was a really nice place in a great location. It's bright with updated windows and plenty of light. The floor plan is open and feels really comfortable. Of course, the location is nice with a short walk to the Boucherie, market and many restaurants. I'd recommend it to couples and small families who would like to enjoy Villefranche and still be close to Nice and the rest of the Riviera.

Very nice the apartment is actually more spacious than the photos show.
Really enjoyed our stay in Villefranche sur Mer, the property owners where extremely helpful and the property manager Donna turned out to be a real star when our flight was cancelled at the last minute sorting taxi from airport to apartment and stocking the fridge with life saving essentials!
