Amazing historic city club beautifully preserved, restored and maintained. Luxury suite corner suite with porch was spotless with amazing linens and comfortable bed.
Our bartender in The Library amazing cocktail artist. Very cool and hospitable. Door guy made certain we had coffee and anything we needed in the morning. Continental breakfast was plentiful, with fresh options and mini quiches.
Ideal couple getaway or girlfriend weekend. I will be back soon.
Also room was a steal when compared to other boutique hotels downtown.
Not one thing.

The historic atmosphere was incredible!

Beautiful rooms and great service.
The location was not great. There weren’t many people around, we felt like we were in a ghost town.

Everything, the atmosphere, the character, the staff, the service- everything was absolutely wonderful!
Nothing- there's is *nothing* I would have changed about our stay or the accommodations!

Room not cleaned during the stay. Breakfast a little spartan.

GREAT location in Downtown Detroit — walking distance to everywhere you might want to go downtown. The front desk staff and valet were so, so nice and hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t get a chance to use the spa or other services offered, but I will make sure to do so the next time I stay here.

Rooms and bathrooms were great, good old vibe was nice. Not your standard property.
Breakfast was very disappointing

The hotel is very elegant! Quite and romantic feeling! I loved how at check-in they offer you a glass of champagne! The staff was excellent! The bed was very comfortable, clean room!
The spa was amazing!

we loved the vintage feel of the hotel, and the uniqueness of each room. the cigar bar was our favorite, and the bartenders (Larry and Matt) were top notch. excellent from start to finish, we cannot wait to go back
we had a slight problem with our tub (previous user dropped something in the tub and the jets were spitting it back out). they came by and fixed it. not a huge deal

The room and the vintage decor
Mix up with my reservation

Location
The cost of this facility did not match the room amenities, 1- tiny bar of soap for the sinks and shower and small low quality shampoo and conditioner. No chairs in the room. Had better amenities at a Motel 6.

This was one of the most horrible experiences I’ve ever had through your set ie can is making me think of dropping BOOKING. Do you do any quality control? Has anyone from your staff stayed here? Do you look at reviews and aggregate them? I feel lied to and completely ripped-off.
A Better question would be can you find one
positive thing in exchange for the $650 you spent without sleeping there? The answer is no. I feel
Completely misled by BOOKING.Com and ripped-off

The historic building and club facilities were beautiful and every corner felt like walking in a museum. The bed in the honeymoon suite was superb, comfortable, and warm. I especially enjoyed the in-room deep soaking claw foot tub. Thoughtful details were peppered throughout the room. The front desk went above and beyond when I had injured my foot during my stay. They don't allow meal delivery services, like door dash, to deliver to the club. But one call to the front desk and, even though the restaurant was closed for that evening, the chef made me a delicious meal!
Because this is a historic building, the windows were single-pane and a bit drafty. They aren't very good at noise reduction, so early in the morning and into the late evening, I could hear the sound of the city public transportation quite clearly - and the buzzing alert sound of the parking garage across the street every time a car left the building. I also had a slight issue on check-in when I was arriving very early on a red eye flight, so I booked the room starting the night of my flight so I could check into the hotel immediately to get some rest. Despite communicating my intent and getting assurance that they would check me into the room the night I was flying, the night security wasn't informed so when I arrived there was some confusion whether I was a no show or not. Alex at the front desk cleared it up when they arrived, though!

Loved the reception from check in to check out. The location was awesome!! The free breakfast was really good especially after running the turkey trot. Really liked the quiche. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous and works well with all the upgrades.
The lighting in the hallway upstairs was dark. Could have been a little brighter but did not impact our stay at all.

I love how different this hotel is than any other in Detroit. Each room is different, with its own character. The spa was very nice as well.
could use more than one desk person for check in on busy days. They seemed overwhelmed.

Elevator was very tiny.

The minibar fridge had a glass front door, and the light inside is always on. There's no switch to turn it off, so instead I had to pile cushions in front so I could actually sleep! Other than that the room was great

No complaints!
