We rented for a football weekend. Just a 10 min drive to stadium. The house was very clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Kitchen had everything needed. We felt at home and welcomed.

I have chronic bronchitis and am allergic to chemicals in cleaning products and detergents and their odors. Farol made sure that the house was cleaned with products that I use at home and was so helpful in making our stay comfortable. We will be repeat visitors when we visit our son. Thanks you so much Farol for going the extra effort to help me!

The stay at Ginny's place was as described in previous reviews. Very comfortable and well equipped. A very convenient location. I would definitely rent this home again.

We rented this home while our floors were being redone. The host communicated well with us up front and there was a lot of friendly back and forth chatting on the vrbo app about our stay. We also exchanged phone numbers. Unfortunately when we arrived at the property, the code we were given did not work. I texted, phoned and left a vm, and sent a message on the app but no response. Finally I called customer service and they confirmed our reservation and provided a back up phone number and we were able to reach the owner's son. Apparently she forgot about our reservation. She said that she would get the home cleaned and text me when it was ready.Three hours later we got a text that we could get in, but I was working that weekend and had returned to work and my husband also had returned home. It was dark by then, and raining and with the steep driveway I told her we could not move in that night. We returned the next day and the home was neat, clean, and quiet, and the pics and description were accurate except for the 2 car garage, which cannot accommodate 2 cars. We had to move things closer to the wall to fit our cars, but we could barely get them in and could not open our car doors, so my husband parked on the street. After we moved in the host apologized for the mishap about the reservation and on the vrbo chat said she would like to "completely refund our stay". After 8 business days the charge was still on our card so I contacted her about the refund. She reminded us that it takes some time for the refund to go through vrbo and then asked us what would be a fair refund and what we would be happy with. I said that she had told us she was going to "completely refund our stay" but if that was no longer her intent I would accept a 50% reduction plus the cancellation insurance we purchased. She replied that she was sorry for "our miscommunication" but she would comp the night we did not stay there, plus an extra night. I never replied as I was too shocked and disappointed and just wanted the whole thing to be done. This was my first experience w vrbo.

Cozy, comfortable, clean and close…to UGA!!! Perfect spot to use as a home base while visiting our son. He enjoyed staying with us too, for some well needed rest, home made lunches, snd even for mom to do a couple of loads of his laundry. ;) Farol and Jason were wonderful and helpful hosts. We will definitely be back!!!

I am moving to Athens and stayed here for a few weeks while getting settled. Farol was lovely to work with and very helpful. This house is as-advertised and I’m so glad we stayed here!

The owner was VERY nerve wrecking everytime someone would leave out she was calling me. She was watching the cameras all night . Just overall a weird uncomfortable visit.

Ginny’s place had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean and there was plenty of wash cloths, towels and all of the kitchen utensils we needed. It was a bit more than waking distance to the UGA campus, but that wasn’t a big deal because we had a car and also were able to use Uber very easily. I loved the screened in porch for my morning coffee and just having a home to relax and unwind in without having to worry about disturbing sleeping teenagers.

Lovely home and very convenient location ! Clean, comfy, and perfectly stocked with everything we would need! Will def use this property again when I’m Athens.

Second time I have stayed at the house and it was great. Well designed house that would be ideal for a game day group or a family that needs to stay together for a visit. Or an individual wanting a long term stay. Furniture, appliances, utensils are excellent. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and cared for. Be ready for a great stay!

Lovely home that was conveniently located to everything in the Athens area. There was an ample amount of space for all of the guests. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we possibly could need. The family room was a great entertaining space to watch the Georgia game. Overall, it was a great stay and many memories were made thanks to Jerry and Farol's amazing home. We will definitely stay here again next time we return to Athens

Best appointed property we've ever stayed at! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, pots/pans. Such a great place. Plenty of room, clean, and comfy. Short drive to downtown Athens. Great communication with owner. Hope we get to stay at Ginny's place again in the future.

Very well maintained property with a owner that wants to make sure your stay goes well. Lots of space and the kitchen has every thing you would need to have a great stay. A/C heating was great. Bedroom and bathrooms have very good space and great beds. We stayed for about seven weeks and would schedule the property again.

This house was perfect for our stay on a game day weekend in Athens. The property manager communicated well and had taken care of every detail at the house. This place far exceeded expectations. We came for Mizzou- Georgia football game and loved our home away from home . All amenities were included and the kitchen is stocked with just about everything . We would recommend this house to anyone visiting Athens .

Ginny's Place has lots of sleeping capacity and lots of living space, so you dont feel cramped! The owner provides a full kitchen with all the everyday things that you might not have thought of ... plastic baggies, foil, non-stick spray, etc. The accommodations are beautiful & comfortable, in a nice neighborhood. This is my choice, if I'm ever back in Athens, GA.

Jerry's property was immaculately clean and comfortable. Anything we could possibly need was provided--it was clear a lot of thought has gone into what is needed to make for an easy stay! The location is also convenient to the farmer's market, downtown, and other Athens attractions. Will definitely stay here again when we visit!

My wife's and my daughter graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2019. Being from St. Louis, and having a handful of family members wanting to attend, we needed to find a nice home to stay in that a) would be affordable to us and b) just a few minutes from the UGA campus. "Ginny's Place" turned out to be a diamond in the rough for us. The home is lovely, completely set-up for a family gathering, and Mr. and Mrs. NeSmith could not have been better hosts. We had everything we needed, and all went precisely to plan. Three beautifully decorated bedrooms, two full bathrooms, wi-fi throughout, and a well-appointed kitchen allowed us to fully relax and live in the moment. Just what every parent wants to do with their child and family on such a special, milestone day. We stayed here while attending The Masters. The location was great, close to what we needed and quick access to the highway. The home was very clean and up to date, and the owners we very nice. Would stay here again!

Beautiful home. Comfortable and conveniently located. The well equipped kitchen was the best as we made Christmas cookies and a complete holiday feast. The separate dining table was room enough for our formal dinner and our late night card games. It was the perfect place for our family to gather Thank you to Jerry and Farol for being so accommodating. We hope we have the opportunity to return again.

This place was a newer home with all the amenities! We were planning a larger crowd but due to illness had to size down at the last minute. The owners were extremely helpful. Our overall all experience was 5 stars! We were extremely impressed with the accommodations, fluffy towels, fully equipped kitchen! They even had coffee beans to grind! Anyone giving this place a consideration, you’ll be very happy you chose this one. Everything is very close, shops, restaurants and the university.

Comfortable beds, plenty of towels that were soft. Only complaint was the guest bedrooms got a little warm.
