Peaceful, quiet place. Would recommend.

We had a great stay at Aztec Escape. The property is well kept very comfortable. The location is perfect, with lots of wildlife and exploring for the kids. One of our best trips to Halls Gap.

Good location, not too far from town and restaurants. Bike path at the end of the street. House is very comfortable with everything you need for a great stay. Easy communication with hosts. Lots of wildlife just outside the windows.

Excellent location, beautiful views, comfortable place. We had a really nice stay and enjoyed our time thoroughly. The home is as idyllic as it appears in the photos. Worth mentioning that the stereo speakers are clearly damaged and playing music results in a load of static and tearing even at low volume, definitely need replacing. Apart from that all other facilities and furniture were excellent. Unfortunately we had a rude and unnecessary experience when leaving the accommodation. We were a bit late getting out on the last morning. All packed up, tidied the place and out the door by 1030am. A man who I can only assume is the owner made a big deal about it and after I had apologised decided to have a further go at us. When I responded that this is the first time we had ever been hurried out he got more frustrated and kept arguing his point, to which I also responded with some strong words. We were late getting out and that's our responsibility, though his behaviour was over the top and just plain grumpy. It was an unfortunate end and we will not be staying there again. Luckily we went for a great bushwalk that day and left the Grampians with a better feeling.

We stayed 3 nights and the location just fabulous to explore the Grampians. The house is clean, tidy and matched the photos. We enjoyed the preset fire on a chilly morning. The local restaurants are good from Indian food at Spirit of Punjab to the brewery and don’t miss the ice cream! Proximity to all the lookouts is easy to navigate to. I only wish we had a few more days there!

What a great stay! The house was exactly as pictured however felt larger in space when we arrived. Very close (walking distance) to the general store and all restaurants, most of the main walks/treks, zoo and local wineries in close proximity. Greater every morning by at least ten cockatoo friends and rosellas (kids loved this!!) and also some visits by the kangaroos. Overall I highly rate our stay. We had some small issues with water leakage (range hood after a sudden downpour) and dishwasher, however notified the owner and it was being attended to. It didn’t impact our stay however which was thoroughly enjoyed by our whole family. The bedding was good (particularly comfy in room two). Very clean shower and bathrooms and gorgeous spa (although we didn’t use it given hot summer trip) - would be perfect in winter months. We shall return! ☺️ Thx Wendy for our lovely stay.

The 2 bedrooms are also good, and the beds were so comfy. 2 aircons in the hall work well too and they have ceiling fans plus 2 portable ones. There is only 1 shower and the double spa is lovely but note there is no door so privacy could be an issue for someOverall we just loved our stay and can’t wait to return again. Thank you!

Lovely place and setting. A second shower instead of spa bath would have been great for 2couples but not a deal breaker and for the price some shower items would have helped also-shampoo body wash etc.

Great location, picturesque views, super clean and comfortable property.

Easy check in and great location, close to walks not only in Halls Gap but further afield as well. Spent our days hiking away from the crowds and our evenings soaking in the spa bath and reading by the fire. We normally camp but it was nice to have a restful home away from home this time. The wood heater was smoky on occasion, but nothing a good chimney clean can't fix.

We had a wonderful time in the house, the setting of course is spectacular and doesn’t disappoint. Kangaroos all around and friendly birds came to visit each day. The house was very cold in the mornings as the split system air conditioning systems seem to be past their prime. They didn’t work at 0 degrees which is when you want them to work! The beds were a bit uncomfortable too (very hard) but other than that we had a great time.

We managed to leave Melbourne just before lockdown 2.0. We had a lovely time in the lovely house (we stayed there about 5-6 years ago as well). Frosty mornings but lovely days.

Great heating. Plenty of firewood and a short walk to town. Shame a lot of places in town weren't open due to Covid.

My wife and I spent three nights in this lovely spacious and well appointed 2 bedroom house close to the centre of Halls Gap. The house has been extensively remodelled and has a lovely feel about it. The white cockatoos which would come and sit on the balcony railing each morning added to the charm.

This property was just as is was depicted on Stayz - light, bright, clean finishes, no fuss and well located... everything you could want in a holiday stay. A few extras in the pantry would have been appreciated (eg. foil, cling wrap, serviettes); we did our best with the dishes with the drop of dishwashing liquid that was left; and the oven mitts could do with a wash... but other than these extremely minor details, we were delighted with the property and would highly recommend it - and return. Aztec Escape was modern, clean, neat, uncluttered and very comfortable for two couples. It was well priced too. Thank you for having us; it's a lovely place!

Clean and tidy property. Quiet, with local wild life all around. Convenient location within walking/cycling distance to Halls Gap centre.

This was our second stay at this property as we were happy with it the first time. Well presented, great communication on booking and terrific facilities. A great place to relax and get away.

Well equipped house, great indoor fireplace with AC backup to keep warm. Very close to wildlife with bird life and kangaroos at your doorstep. Would recommend.

Excellent location and excellent place to stay. The only issue was the combustion heater where we think the damper control allowing air into the fire box needs a service. Otherwise all good
