Communicatie verliep heel prettig en snel. Personeel was heel behulpzaam met onder andere het regelen van vervoer vanaf het vliegveld van Puerto Princessa We hebben overnacht in het grote appartement met 4 volwassenen en 2 kinderen met een adembenemend uitzicht op de berg. Via de accomodatie hebben we de Underground River geboekt, waarbij we als een van de eersten in de ochtend de rivier op konden varen. Een kippenvel moment helemaal alleen in het donker in de grot!

Het is een pittige klim van de weg richting de receptie in de hitte met koffers, de accomodatie is minder geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.

The steps down to it, especially in the rain with bags, are a challenge. Nowhere particularly comfy to sit. Arty chairs of wood pieces look great but are not made for comfort. Trips are expensive.

We highly appreciate that the owner recommended our transfer to a bigger unit. The bigger apartment was spacious with a beautiful mountain view. We love that we were able to birdwatch early morning while enjoying coffee. It's very close to the forest and encounters with its natural inhabitants are part of its charm. Tucked away from the crowded wharf -where most tourist accommodations are. This place is a gem and we got to explore more than the underground river. We'd stay longer if we could.

If you are working nights on your trip, best to bring a work lamp and a regular sim for data. The lights were too dim for reading and sketching at night. Although it didn't bother us since we actually got to sleep earlier - great for recharging!

Prostorný pokoj i koupelna. Pohodlná postel s moskytiérou. Krásný výhled do krajiny. Majitel zprostředkovává výlet na podzemní řeku a za doplatek poskytuje snídaně. Ubytování se nachází v klidnější lokalitě, cca 15 min. chůze od pláže. Místo bych doporučila max. na 2 noci.

Na pokoji i v koupelně je opravdu hodně mravenců, neboť dům má otevřenou konstrukci. Studená voda ve sprše (vůči ceně a typu ubytování se to dá očekávat)

Superbe endroit, à quelques pas de la plage et du centre. Le site est magnifique. Les chambres proposent un confort rudimentaire, mais le cadre compense. Pas d'isolation phonique entre les chambre, douche froide, WC à chasse manuelle, mais les propriétaires sont adorables. Tout est là pour passer un merveilleux séjour, simple mais agréable.

Zur Info: Die Bewertung dieser Unterkunft erfolgt gemessen an dem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und im Vergleich zu anderen besuchten Unterkünften in diesem Preisberrich. Dass man für den Preis kein Luxus oder guten Compfort erwarten kann ist absolut klar. Die Lage ist gut, wenn man morgens schnell beim Underground River sein möchte. Das war aber leider auch schon alles. Rückblickend war es ein Fehler diese Unterkunft zu buchen anstatt einer anderen im gleichen Ort. Preise sind alle ungefähr gleich.

Die Unterkunft hat kein Schild oder Wegweiser am Eingang. Als wir angekommen sind musste wir uns von anderen Gästen den Weg zeigen lassen. Daran sollte man Arbeiten. Generell benötigt er Eingangsbereich mehr Pflege. Es liegt Müll und Schutt herum. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, wie überall hier im Land. Die Unterkunft liegt unter 15€ die Nacht, weswegen ich auch 5 anstatt 1 Punkt gebe. Das Zimmer gleicht eine kleinen Zelle, mit einem klappernden Ventilator, einem Bett mit einer viel zu dünnen Matraze. Hier wird an jeder Ecke gespart. Die Matraze war kaum dicker als eine normale Auflage von einer Liege. Bild davon siehe weiter unten. Für eine Nacht ok, wenn man auf dem Rücken schläft. Die Zimmer sind alle direkt nebeneinander und man hört alles. Wirklich alles! An Schlaf ist hier nicht zu denken. In der Anlage gibt es wohl noch etwas hochwertigere Zimmer, welche aber hier nicht buchbar waren. Die Toiletten sind alle viel zu tief. Für Kinder absolut super, für Erwachsene (1,77m) viel zu niedrig. Hier hat der Besitzer nicht mitgedacht. In allen anderen Unterkünften werden die Toiletten auf einen Sockel gestellt, dass die etwas höher sind. Hier fehlen einfach 10cm. Wir waren froh als die Nacht vorbei war und wir die Ungerkunft verlassen konnten. Die Preise an der Bar sind viel zu hoch für solch eine Low low Budget Unterkunft. 90 Pesos für ein Bier sind zu viel. Auf allen Inseln und in hochwertigen Unterkünften kostet es max. 80 Pesos. Wenn ich andere Unterkünfte in diesem Preisbereich mit dieser vergleiche, kann ich nicht mehr als 5 Punkte geben.

We paid 2,016 Pesos ( $36 USD / 33 Euro ) for this room. It was the mid-price of the 3 rooms with bathrooms. The room featured: Beds - 3 wood frame, 10 cm foam mattress Furniture - 1 night table inside, 1 armless plastic chair outside. (sit on the bed or plastic chair outside) Cooling - 1 rotating ceiling fan Shower - pipe coming out out the wall with a valve at the base. Water, brown, low pressure, low volume. Sink - see 'water' above. Mirror - none. Grooming and shaving is challenging. Toilet - western, functions well. Towels - non-absorbant polyester. Wifi - only at the restaurant, none in rooms. Don't know if it worked. The owner is a German man. I wonder if he would pay 33 Euros to stay at a similar accommodation?

Skønt sted, man får fornemmelsen af at være midt i junglen. Vi havde lejet lejligheden med egen balkon med udsigt, det var super. Tæt på underground river, hvor vi havde bestilt på forhånd via hotellet, så vi kom meden af de første både om morgenen, uden ventetid. Snyd ikke jer selv for en guidet sejltur i mangroven. Det var virkelig en fin oplevelse! God mad i restauranten.

Der var kun wifi ved receptionen/restauranten, og det var ikke særlig hurtigt. Men det virkede.

Die Duschen wie überall keinen Druck auf der Leitung. Abstellflächen für Kleider und Shampoo fehlen immer und überall. Es wird weder ästhetisch noch funktional gebaut, leider.

Et même trouvé un autre hergement car nous avions réservé que 2 nuits.. Des petits déjeuner extra.. Une ambiance cool et apaisée.. merci encore Annie et ta famille...

Highly recommended! I am a solo traveler who spend 4 nights at Bambua, In my oppinion its a very very great spot to stay. Its a pritty big propperty close to the mountains and rainforrest, easy walk to the beach, great food in the morning with complementairy coffee and super food in the evening, very helpfull and kind people, for whatever question you have or arrange transport and other things its a 10+ Ive slept like a baby in one of their cheapest rooms with fan. If I ever return to Sabang, this will be my place to stay for sure. Thank you Bambua! See you next time

You stay in nature, its really lovely to be here. We wanted to stay one night, we stayed four. Not to much luxery, but a great vibe and lovely people, more tgan willing to take care of you. You can also meet George here, a jungle guide you also find in lonely planet. He can take you trough the jungle like nobody else can do. Go there, and not just one night.

The integration of the property in the nature is great and the owner is awesome! You have to try the coffee!

The water has a big iron share, so it smells like iron and is at the beginning brown, but still okay.

The place has been hit by a typhoon recently. The staff is working hard to renovate (actually rebuild) the place. Still some water related issues, but I am confident it will get better and better in the next months

The location of the property is beautiful. You really are in the middle of the nature. The cottage was simple but comfortable and exactly what I was looking for - peace and nature. You hear the sounds of the nature (geckos, birds, monkeys) during the day and at night (geckos chasing each other on top of the roof) so maybe if someone is easily scared it is not for them haha. The owner and the staff were very friendly. I ordered dinner and breakfast which were tasty. In summary I loved my stay there and would happily stay again. Thank you Bambua!

The owner family is very friendly and accommodating and does a good job running this place in the middle of the jungle.

Nothing in particular, the building really keeps the heat and humidity but not much that can be done about that I guess.

I liked the environment where this accomodation was and the price was also very good. The staff and owner's family are nice people and very helpful, but sometimes you should ask what you need. The typical things they can help you with is to organise early morning underground river tour, or organise the transfer to other cities in Palawan, for example El nido.

There is no aircon (I know why and it is ok, but you can be hot)

Very good location. 5 minutes walking distance to the nice beach. Good place for staying 2-3 days. You can find some hiking activities around.

It's almost possible that the ants will disturbing you. Evening time also possible some mosquitoes, please take mosquito sprays. The towels was sintetic. Not very nice.

We loved everything about this place, the accommodation, the food, the beautiful jungle environment and the friendliness of Andreas and his family.

If you think you would enjoy a rustic stay in the Sabang jungle you will love it. If you are expecting all the bells and whistles of 5 star maybe book somewhere else.
