THIS HOME IS COMPLETELY DIALED IN
This mid-century modern home has been completely remodeled and re-imagined to make the highest and best use of the space.
INSIDE
+Master BR features the most comfortable gel top memory foam (yet still keeps the springs for the desired firmness) mattress you've slept on while away from home. The floors are a diagonal cut, dark wood w/ custom bath en suite calling would be travelers for a spa-like offering by means of its deep soaking tub, rain head shower & magic wand. The patio doors open to the private backyard right from your room where you can chill to your favorite music and hang out on the deck, lounging poolside bed, or taking a plunge in the heated pool.
+2nd BR is on the main floor, has oak flooring, glass paneled interior french doors (w/ built in shades for privacy) & 2 single beds w/ brand new mattresses.
+3rd BR is the overflow spot -or- the "bonus room." This room is downstairs with forced heat & A/C, offers another queen size bed with the same killer mattress that's in the master & 70" TV! It's the coolest spot in the house, and while the grey wood floors are equally tranquil on the eye, the recessed, dimmable LED lighting & ceiling fan keep your rest cool as well (Planning note: This room is not continuous with the main home, as you have to access it by leaving the front door and re-entering from its own patio door. It's important that you consider this for groups of 5+ who are planning on utilizing this bonus 3rd bedroom, as that might not be for everyone. If you have any questions about it, please ask first before booking!)

CONSIDERATION
The home is all to yourselves, we are 100% available should a need arise or question come about, please be conscientious of the neighborhood. It is very peaceful and tends to turn down after dark. Out of respect to our neighbors, music or partying late will not be welcome and could result in fines being assessed.
THE 'HOOD
Being on the sand is cool, but any local will tell you that it can come at a steep cost of the full-time noise in all hours of the night. This home is situated like a hybrid, in that: You can imagine still being right in the heart of it all, but elevated just up enough where you get the peace and silence of a safe, well insulated neighborhood with killer views of the best that SD has to offer!
While the breathtaking sunsets will steal your heart (and clog up your Instagram page) the mornings from your balcony might be your favorite time of day. Overlooking your quiet neighborhood perch, coffee/tea in hand and the healing smell of the marine layer blowing off, you can watch the sunrise over Downtown & The Coronado Bridge while watching it light up the Coronado Islands off Mexico. By mid-day, you put on some good tunes, grab something fun to read and relaxing to drink, and retreat to the backyard for your own, private, heated pool & pergola covered daybed. After a respite, the beach is only a quick snap away where you can beach cruise down the world famous Mission Beach Boardwalk, rent a board & paddle out at any of the 4 major surf breaks right out front, or just chill and watch the beautiful people walk by while you work on your tan year-round.
LOGISTICS
Hungry? Walk to eat at any of the many award winning restaurants and beach bars w/in a 1.5 mile radius including our favorite: "The PB Local."
Also important, this is located in the foothills of Mt. Soledad, which is technically still in Pacific Beach, but you are very close to world famous La Jolla. A quick, 5 minute car ride over the top of the mountain and you are right in the village to enjoy one of the most special communities in the entire county to explore.
Back to the pad, if you want, you can grill up dinner by the pool with the stainless steel BBQ. Or, if you missed the Sunset from the beach, elevated up over everything from your front balcony are some of the most epic sights known to (wo)man! From late Spring to early Fall, you get a front row seat to the Sea World Fireworks blasting nightly over Mission Bay.

Please inspect the space when you first arrive & move any choking hazards out of your child's reach, and note the front balcony gap under the glass. It is your responsibility to watch your children at all times.

My family and I flew cross country for a vacation in San Diego. Jesse’s communication from beginning to end was timely, kind and helpful. The attention to detail by Jesse shows not only his enthusiasm for the property but his attention to the guest experience during their stay. Our stay was amazing and this house provided access to all the experiences needed within 15 minutes. The house was clean, accurately portrayed and supported all our needs. This home made us feel as though we had all the comforts of home while being away. We highly recommend this property and its owner. Thank you for enhancing the enjoyment of our vacation.

We had a great time staying here. It was perfect for us! It was spacious for our family game night, beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet.

A slice of solitude while my family and I enjoyed our stay in San Diego! Close enough to all the different points and attractions in the city but nestled in the quiet hills a few minutes from Pacific Beach. The house was clean, the pool refreshing, and the balcony a great spot to enjoy the cool weather. The kids loved playing table tennis in the downstairs garage as well. Jesse was very responsive and communicative; a great host!

Well appointed, beautiful home close to EVERYTHING. Jesse, the owner was absolutely fantastic. Came here for a girl’s weekend and had a blast! Thank you, Jesse

Property was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 kids). Paid the daily fee for the pool heat and it was wonderful, kids were in the pool every day morning and night. Property was centrally located to all we wanted to do in SD. Jesse was an extremely responsive and friendly host.

If you are looking for a great spot near it all in San Diego this is a perfect option. Close proximity to the 5 means you can get around quickly, but also tucked off far enough to still be a quiet and peaceful stay.

If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful place to stay…this is it. We were treated by a spa-like aromatherapy that set the tone for our trip. The house was open and welcoming and the view was amazing! The pool in back was perfect for an evening swim. We had everything we needed and will definitely be coming back!
5.0 / 5.0
The host Jesse was particularly attentive, communicative and helpful. We had an inconvenience during our trip that he handled with professionalism and haste, and tried to make it have minimal impact. Great location, comfortable home in a safe neighborhood and easy to get to various sites throughout the SD area.

Everything was great, the house was super nice and clean and had everything we needed. Great neighborhood and pretty close to everything. We were in town for a car show and some family time away from our kids and it was a great time. Jesse was amazing the whole time, and answered every time we needed something.

The house had everything we needed and more—it was perfect for our family of 5. Our kids loved the pool, and we loved the comfy family room and beautiful kitchen. The location of the house was great—30 minutes or less to visit all the places we wanted to in San Diego.

The property manager was attentive and quick to respond to some very minor questions.

Blown away by the amenities, location, and host of this property--you couldn't ask for someone more responsive and helpful than Jessie, and this place! Perfect for two moms and two boys who wanted a getaway with a pool and easy access to all that San Diego has to offer. Recommend!

Lots of house rules-don’t use air conditioning during certain hours, don’t cook “pungent”foods, put towels in hamper before you leave, put trash/recycle cans out Sunday night. Although grill listed as available the propane tank plus spare was empty. Host reported that he replaced the tanks with last guest and they must have gone through entire tank with their stay (?) -solution was for us to replace tank ourselves and we would be reimbursed since the property manager doesn’t take care of grill’s propane tank. Nice location with easy accessibility and great views.

Once again it’s a review about the views and pictures not doing the house justice. Sea world does fireworks every night at 10 pm and the balcony is a nice view. If you stay there is no need to walk or drive to the beach because Uber is only 14$ each way just expect about an 20 minute wait for a driver during peak times. It’s a great place to go and a quiet area. Thank you to the manager Jesse.

The photos of this listing don't do it justice. This hidden spot, in a quiet neighborhood has all the comforts you could ask for. And the private pool off the master is spectacular. I can't say enough and would absolutely stay in this home away from home again

My family of 5 very much enjoyed our stay here! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The lower level room was kind of strange-to go outside to access, but our 11 year old loved having a spot to herself. The location is super convenient - just minutes from Mission beach, but nestled in a nice, quiet neighborhood. This was a nice retreat after long days at theme parks. I would stay here again for sure. Jesse was super responsive and a great host as well!

We had a wonderful break from the winter here. The house is very clean, with a great view out the front deck of the ocean. Our kids loved the pool. And the location is close to everything - the Zoo as well as La Jolla and restaurants. Jesse is a responsive and courteous host. I’d definitely return!

As I wake up back home in beautiful but gray Seattle I miss the way the light floods the gorgeous model home living room and balcony. Mmm the host’s Hawaiian hazelnut blend coffee goes perfectly with that morning view. The garage code code didn’t work for us so sadly we could not access the trash cans in the garage or ping pong table. Everything else was awesome! Responsive host, awesome heated pool perfect for our 7-year-old, gorgeous living room and view that I loved waking up to see. Plus, again, the coffee….yum! (Seattlites appreciate a great coffee and view :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Soledad Mountain house in San Diego. The property was bright, clean and felt cozy and comfortable. The pool was absolutely perfect for my twin boys (and me!) to splash around in and the water was nice and warm even though the weather was chilly and wet. While the legendary warm and sunny San Diego weather sincerely disappointed us (it rained every day of our stay!), this property exceeded our expectations. The owner was exceptionally responsive and thorough in his explanation of the house rules as well as suggestions for local hot spots. We loved playing ping pong to dodge the rainy weather and we could fit comfortably on the couch to watch a movie together. The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn't realize there was only one bathroom with a shower. I'll take full responsibility for overlooking that detail though! Overall, great experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Great shopping and dining.
LaJolla was fun to visit and dine around.
Great getaway
Thanks Jesse!

Property fit our needs great for 4 people spending a couple days in San Diego. The PM was very communicative and checked in on us to make sure our stay was perfect. Heated pool was a nice temperature to relax in. House had an updated modern feel with a pleasant view of the city and other parts of SD. Nice neighborhood close to anything we needed. Very enjoyable stay

There was nothing better than walking into the main area of the house to doors that open from wall to wall with a beautiful view of PB. We lived on the front porch, whether it was drinking our coffee, reading a book or having a nap. It was so nice to be in the kitchen (with overly large island) or LR and have the open doors and large open living space. The pool was a game changer with our son; one thing we would've like to see is lounge chairs around the pool to read and a dining set to have dinner. While the pool area is nice, I think it could use some simple and inexpensive TLC such as loungers, plantings, a dining set and some decor. It does have a few chairs but they're not chairs you would read your book in or want to eat dinner at. The house is located in a beautiful and upscale neighborhood that is conveniently located to La Jolla, Coronado Beach (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), MB, PB and downtown SD. The house was a great size for our small family, however I'd recommend max 4 to 5 people bc there is only one full bath and it's in the MB. The third bedroom is not part of the main house, you need to go outside down by the garage. While the house is very well secured, I am not sure I'd leave teens in the bottom floor room. The house has all the amenities you will need; beautiful new washer and dryer, dish soap, garbage bags, body wash, shampoo etc. One big thing missing for us was wine glasses. They had plastic (I believe they're actually disposable) champagne glasses. We had to go to Target to buy glass wine glasses to use when not outside on the deck or pool. The host was awesome, very responsive and you can tell he really cares about the house and the guests that stay there.

This property and manager Jesse was perfect for my family. We had to adjust the dates we stayed and it was no problem. At the property my children really enjoyed the heated pool and ping pong table. I really appreciated the calm, beautiful and safe neighborhood. Everything adventure we set out on each day was easy to get to from the property. Jesse communicated very well with us to ensure that experience there met all of our expectations. I feel the property and Jesse was just perfect for what we needed.
