The home is a 5 min drive from Manuel Antonio and Quepos. But definitely drive as the terrain is very steep and no sidewalks do bring a car that can manage steep hillside climbs on rocky roads. The house is a great size and the pool area was very enjoyable - we saw so much wildlife (even a sloth!) from the pool. Susan helped us book multiple fantastic tours and even found clothing for one of us who lost their luggage. We used the chef, Michael, 3 nights and it was delicious and way more convenient than driving out. The property is very clean! Highly recommend!!

Look no further! Our Christmas holiday week at Casa Bellamar was truly unforgettable. Nestled on a quiet hill in Manuel Antonio, just a few minutes' drive from everything, this property is nothing short of fabulous. The location provides a perfect retreat for rest and relaxation.
With children aged 10, 16, and 17, Casa Bellamar had something to offer for everyone. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and amenities such as Wi-Fi and Xbox connectivity added a modern touch. The outdoor patio, adorned with infinity pool, became the preferred hangout spot for our kids. Daily cleaning services, managed by the wonderful Mimi, ensured our stay was always pleasant. Mimi was accommodating when we desired privacy, making our experience even more enjoyable.
Susan, the property manager, deserves special mention for her outstanding support. She reached out promptly after our booking, allowing us ample time to plan our visit and all activities. Throughout our stay, she remained just a phone call or text message away, ensuring a seamless experience.
Casa Bellamar truly has it all – a stunning setting, privacy, three spacious bedrooms, a functional kitchen, breathtaking sunsets, and an infinity pool for endless enjoyment. The property even surprised us with visits from sloths, monkeys, and iguanas, adding an extra layer of charm. Our time at Casa exceeded expectations, making it a vacation to remember.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bellamar. The house itself is quite nice, and the service from the house manager (Susan) was absolutely exceptional - help with check in, check out, and multiple tours/activities/etc in between.
As described elsewhere, there are 3 en suite bedrooms plus a living area - each has its own A/C splitter (the living room can get a bit warm nonetheless, but closing the blinds during the day helps) and an open-air hallway to connect them.
The pool/deck area is pleasant - and was regularly visited by large iguanas during our stay. The sounds of the jungle were great and the generally dark neighborhood makes for a clear view of the stars at night.
The house is conveniently located - easy trips to Manuel Antonio and Quepos - and the daily maid service was a wonderful addition. The drive is dauntingly steep but workable (in a climate that doesn't see a day of ice, at least) - 4 wheel drive was helpful but perhaps not essential.
We'd be quite happy to stay here again on a return trip.

First time in Costa Rica. The house is in the perfect location. Secluded enough you feel you are the only one in the area but close to all parks and beaches.
Our host was present when we checked in and that was extremely helpful. She helped us get most of our activities booked. I will recommend the fishing trip.
And we hired the chef for 3 nights. Great food. Better than going to a restaurant
If we go back to Costa Rica and Manuel Antonio will stay at this property again. I have recommended it to all of our friends.
If you rent a vehicle make sure it is a 4 WD. The entrance is steep. Will save you some headaches when it rains.

The home and property were absolutely beautiful. Two things made this listing a place to return. Beyond the luxury accommodations, the concierge and daily maid service were unexpected and invaluable. As well, we saw a sloth, monkeys, toucans, and scarlet macaws, and many iguanas and lizards. This is a home to return to.

Great house. Great for a family stay. Better than the pictures.
I chose this house for our last stay at Costa Rica during our family vacation. For he rest of the family it was kind of surprise. And indeed it was a very good surprise as all of them were stoked at how magnificent is the house. It is better looking in reality than on pictures. There is lots of space. 3 bedrooms, each with its own shower. King size beds. Well equipped kitchen. Gas grill outside and a lovely pool. Also you get a maid which takes care of cleaning and all the laundry (my wife was so glad about that...). And the views to the forest - just amazing. We loved coming back afternoon to the house, after a day at the beach or some other activity and simply enjoy the pool and the lovely surrounding forest and viewing the beautiful sunset.
Susan was very helpful with advice on activities, restaurants, etc.
This is an excellent choice and I would definitely choose it again if I visit Manuel again.
There are two things which could be improved -
1. Finding the address took us a while as google maps didn't work well. It could be nice if some signs were laid on the the road.
2. We had two electricity stops. I don't know if it's bad luck or something that happens a lot there but it could be uncomfortable.

Privacy a Plus
My wife and I stayed for a month at this property in February 2020, and it has many positive features. The layout is great to separate the bedrooms from the main living area. The pool is nice and the outdoor shower is a great feature as there is a great deal of privacy in terms of the view from neighbors. Odette is a terrific housekeeper and she kept all areas of the property spotless. We had three sets of guests cycle through, and Odette handled all the change with great assistance and attitude. Internet service was reliable and relatively fast. TV channel options for English-available programming was minimal, but that wasn't why we traveled to Costa Rica. We took a FireStick with us and that helped. Over the 30 day period, we had minor issues with a nearby wasp nest and with the oven, and the property management team was very responsive to both situations and things were cleared up very quickly. As with anything, though, there are two things we wish would have been different. First, do not expect any view of the Pacific; this property is too far away from the shoreline. Second, the air conditioning is insufficient for the main living area. We realize that there was a heat wave for the first 3 weeks staying there, but in any season, the western view from the house gets direct sun from about 11 AM to 6 PM, and the single, split-unit system just couldn't keep up. We had no interior thermometer for that room, but by 2 PM, it had to be 80 degrees in the main area and it went up from there until the sun set. We had to close the heavy draperies for any hope of relief, but of course, that blocks the very nice jungle-scenery view. A/C in each of the 3 bedrooms was fine. We chose Casa Bellamar because it did have A/C in the common area and we couldn't find many properties that did. Unfortunately, that important element for us came up short.

Gorgeous!
This home is absolutely gorgeous and exceeded our expectations! It was spotless, contained everything we needed and was very well laid out. The pool area is amazing and we even had monkeys come visit us a few times. We could not have found a better place to stay. Carlos the taxi driver (info at the house) was our go-to guy for all our transportation. We will definitely come back!

Even better than the pictures
A truly amazing place to hang your hat. Extremely comfortable for 5 -6 people (we had 5), with a special setting that you will never forget. Monkeys, birds galore. Peace. Pure Vida.

A wonderful place to relax after a full day of excursions in Manuel Antonio
Our family of 4 (with 2 teens) had a fantastic Spring Break stay at Casa Bellamar! The house was immaculate and was stocked with everything we needed. The property was clean and well cared for in every way. Before we booked our stay we had already made arrangements with a travel agency for all of our tours, but the concierge, Susan, could have easily done this for us before or after we arrived. She was wonderful, attentive, and so knowledgable about the area. We were met at the house the first day and given the run down on how everything worked. There is a notebook in the house that outlines all of the "need-to-know" items such as, calling a taxi, ordering food delivery to the house if you are too tired to cook or go out after a long day of adventuring, a local favorites restaurant list, and a menu of excursions that the concierge can arrange for you. We always ate out for lunch and dinner, but cooked breakfast every morning at the house and found that the kitchen was well stocked for this purpose. There is a maid who comes daily. She always takes care or the dishes, cleaning, and doing your laundry. We rarely saw her since we were always out and about exploring the area. The pool was always clean, the showers were always hot, and we rarely ever heard people from the neighboring house. We spent every afternoon in the immaculate pool. The infinity edge looks out over the jungle and faces the west where we watched many gorgeous sunsets. We had a white faced monkey visit us on the patio and watched it take a dip in the pool one evening. The house is not walking distance to any shops or restaurants, so you will need some form of transportation getting to and from. It might be good to know that the house is at the top of a very, very steep hill and if you are renting a car, you should probably have a 4 wheel drive. We did not rent a car at all and just took taxi's and excursion transportation the entire time. It was super easy to call the taxi's (in English) and they all arrived on time and came up the hill to the house. They take dollars and colones. Overall we had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family vacation home rental in the Manuel Antonio area.

Stunning home: lovely patio, infinity pool & views
This contemporary design home offers 3-king master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and private patios. Perfect for a group getaway of 3 couples, 3-6 friends or a family. Spacious, well appointed. Susan provided excellent concierge service offering guidance on sightseeing, restaurants and other activities in the Manuel Antonio area of Costa Rica. Susan also went above and beyond to assure we could watch the Academy Awards broadcast in English, which was a primary event for our trip. Odette, the maid, kept the house clean/neat and washed any clothes/towels per request. However, we wanted more privacy and didn't need daily maid service, which Susan arranged to change to 3 days/week. The bowl of fresh fruit, bottle of wine and bag of wonderful coffee was the perfect welcoming gifts since we didn't get to go to the grocery the evening we arrived! Thank you, Susan!
This was our annual girls' getaway, and we found it offered the perfect combination of great restaurants, adventure activities and quiet R&R by the pool. This is a place worthy of a return visit.
A few minor notes for improving the Casa Bellamar experience:
1) The access road is steep and narrow. Advising guest to rent a small SUV or preferably 4-wheel drive vehicle would be helpful.
2) The rain shower heads are nice but the water pressure is quite low for them to be effective for women washing their hair. Also, women prefer an angled shower, so we don't have to get our hair wet if we aren't planning to wash it.
3) The handles on a few of the kitchen knives were loose/coming off. They were a bit tricky/dangerous to use in slicing large fruit.

The house was very spacious
The house was very spacious and the infinity pool was lovely. We were awakened by all the sounds of the forest in the morning, and then we would sit by the pool with coffee, sometimes visited buy a group of mischievous monkeys.

Nothing could be better
This house is just the ticket for rest and relaxation. It has a great layout and all the creature comforts. Odette the cleaning woman was a wonderful woman and did a great job everyday. Wildlife was abundant. The beach and Quepos were close by and be sure to ask for Mavio for parking and beach chairs when arriving at the beach. We would absolutely stay here again and cannot wait to return. Truly Pura Vida.

The house was amazing and we had a wonderful time
The house was amazing with a few complains, you didn’t mention that the was a construction going on in the neighborhood. Every morning except Sunday the construction workers start at 7.00 and going on for the hole day with their noise! And the other thing was in the 3 showers at the bedrooms, you could get a shower in either cold our boiling hot water. The last day(our departure day) our flight was in the evening and we must check-out in the morning, Susan helped us planning the day at La Paz waterfalls. She didn’t mention that the bus tour would take 4 hours, after 2.5 hours drive we understood this and asked the driver to go directly to San Jose. If we had gone to the park we only would have 2,5 hours in the park for lunch, hiking and swimming in the pool, those things was our wish when we asked her for planning our day.

Amazing place to stay.
Beautiful, clean, modern, great pool. One of the best places we have ever stayed. I loved the large bedrooms with the private balcony and large private bathrooms. Property is close to just about anything you may want to do in Costa Rica. Maid service is great. The wildlife you can see from the property is amazing. Scarlet Macaws flying around, monkeys, toucans, and the friendly large iguana that liked to hang out in front of the house. Very relaxing place to stay with incredible views we thoroughly enjoyed it and plan on going back.

Casa Bellamar I love you !!!
This was my first trip to Costa Rica and what great memories...looking forward to going again and staying at Casa Bellamar! The amenities of Casa Bellamar are definitely high end luxury. The bedrooms are separate from the social area & kitchen so gives each person private space. Each bedroom suite has their own bathrooms, luxury linens and individual patio. The property is secluded, quiet with wonderful jungle views that will captivate you for hours. The infinity pool is delightful early morning to sunset. However, if you want to experience the ocean, delightful cuisine or night life, you're just minutes away. Looking forward to booking another trip to Casa Bellamar. I would highly recommend Casa Bellamar for your first trip to Costa Rica or your next if you've been before. Enjoy !!!

It has all the extras and special touches that make you feel like you have your own piece of paradise. The bedrooms are very large each with their own very nice bathroom.
