We were in town for our daughter's JMU graduation. It's no wonder this property has 5 stars across the board from every past visitor. The setting and views are outstanding, and the periodic sounds from the cows and roosters just add to the appeal. Quick responses from the property manager were icing on the cake. Thank you!

Our family of five had more than enough room to enjoy this great cabin. The views are spectacular and the peace and quiet so calming. The house was spotless and well maintained and had everything we needed. Harrisonburg is close by to explore as well as the Skyline Drive. Our kids did not want to leave, and we will miss drinking our morning coffee on the porch looking at the cows and sheep strolling by and listening to the birds. Amazing stay.

The house was beautiful and the location was so peaceful! When we weren't exploring the area, we enjoyed just sitting on the porch watching the cows and sheep in the fields.
It was a perfect place to just relax and get away for a weekend.

The cabin is clean, in good repair and well stocked. Quiet surroundings even though you are in the middle of a farm. Stunning views from front and back porches and family room. We loved it and hope to visit again (for longer) in the future! Thank you!

The Log Inn was the perfect place for our family of 5 to gather in the evenings after a busy day hiking and visiting attractions in the Harrisonburg area. The sunset view from the back deck is so beautiful! We found plenty of activities in the area, and we enjoyed coming back to the cabin to cook and relax in the evenings. The internet service was robust and much-appreciated since we had some meetings to attend online during the week. There are groceries close by, but we also enjoyed shopping at the Friendly City co-op in Harrisonburg and the Mountain Branch Creamery in Dayton. Highlights included a trip to Lost River State Park in West Virginia, the Hidden Rocks Trail hike at the edge of the George Washington National Forest, and the Quilt Museum in Harrisonburg. Our stay was very enjoyable!

What a beautiful Log cabin home! The property was easy to get to. The first thing we noticed was how peaceful and quiet the area was. Grace and Brian responded promptly to all my messages. They provided the expected bed linens, kitchen supplies, towels, etc. What i didnt expect was two cabinets full of toys, games, movies, and books for all ages. That was a great find, since i had a 10 year old and 1 year old to keep entertained. The blankets in the living room and den were a nice touch. There was a pingpong table in the basement. They also had box fans in the upstairs bedrooms which was great for me, since i have to have white noise to sleep at night, and forgot to pack my fan. It was the perfect location, central to many of the attractions in the Shenandoah Valley area and near a grocery store and Walmart. We really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had a great stay at the Log Inn. Beautiful cabin with amazing views. A lot of space for our family of 5 to spread out and really liked that there are 2 sitting areas to gather in. Beds were all very comfortable & there were plenty of towels available to use. Hosts were so quick to respond when I had questions. Highly recommend staying here.

What a beautiful setting! The home was so cozy and SO clean and just what we needed. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend at the house as we were busy seeing our son at college during the day. We hope to stay again sometime! Thanks Grace!

We returned to the Log Inn for JMU’s family weekend. The house is about 20 minutes from campus and so much nicer than a hotel. The house has all you’ll need and is extremely comfortable and well appointed. Grace is the best host! She is so responsive to any questions and has thought of everything.
Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!

Great Vacation Rental
We stayed at Grace‘s Log Inn for about 10 days. The house is great, the communication is spot on and it’s a wonderful rural area. We also really liked all of the places to go in Harrisonburg a few minutes away.
What stuck out most to me was the accuracy of the description of the property. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was probably one of the top vacation homes we have ever stayed in. Thank you Grace for such a great vacation!

Peaceful “cabin” in Virginia valley farmland
We had a lovely family reunion with our son, his wife and their two children, ages 1 and 4. The cabin is located in a peaceful valley in the Virginia mountains full of farms. The boys enjoyed seeing cows, sheep, goats as well as stars at night. The nearby town of Harrisonburg had a children’s Discovery Museum for entertainment as well as an interesting commercial district. There was a short, fairly flat trail nearby which led to a splendid overlook, perfect for young kids and their grandparents.
The cabin itself was well-stocked, spacious and nicely furnished. A wonderful family room/playroom filled with games and books overlooked cow pasture and kept the boys entertained. The only item we could have used would have been an additional frying pan for cooking eggs and bacon at the same time.

Beautiful home
We had a great time at Grace's home. The house was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked. The views were beautiful and we loved watching all the animals. Very peaceful and relaxing. They were available for any questions or issues and responded promptly. They gave us suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area, which was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy, well-equipped and fantastic home. I came to celebrate my daughter’s 18the birthday. Two parents and five teenagers made this our home for 2 nights. We had a really great time. And the snow didn’t stop us! We were especially grateful that the owner came to winch my friend’s car out from an unfortunate slide down a hill. He even drove her car up and out to the main road for us! Wonderful hospitality! Thank you!
