Quiet cottage nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains!
I live next door and am usually around to greet my guest and to answer any questions you may have.

Pool is open to the rental guests only-During May and Aug and part of early Sept Depending on how warm the temp is here

Just minutes away from historic Charlottesville, Virginia.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at this sweet cottage. Felt just like visiting your grandmother’s house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Access to the pool was easy. Our host was lovely. She checked in on us when we arrived and the morning we left. Great little place to escape to for a weekend.

We wanted a private pool and the pool was amazing. It was however actually attached to the house next door which is the owners so it was not as private as we’d hoped. She was definitely out and about but tried to give privacy when you’re in the pool. She did come all the way up to the house we were staying in a couple times for different reasons so again I didn’t feel very private. Think she was trying to watch her property and be helpful. The grill is not useable. It’s not a grill it’s a griddle and it’s all rusted so we didn’t have a July 4th BBQ like we planned when we booked. The bed is not a queen it’s a double. Otherwise everything was as described and the Ac works great! Kitchen well stocked with tools.

Wanted a little time away with a private inground pool for my mother (who has mobility issues) to be able to access. The Cottage did not disappoint! Communication with Ms. Diana was perfect, getting in & settled was perfect. Location was just far enough to feel secluded, yet not desolate. The Cottage is an older home, but that does not mean insufficient. Everything works, there's games, movies and internet. We were there for the pool and enjoyed every minute in it! Ms. Diana was extremely accommodating with some unexpected extras we requested too! The ONLY thing out of anyone's control is the highway runs right behind the property, so you don't get that total peaceful, quiet of the country. That was a minor thing on a perfect weekend and the lightening bug show & wildlife made up for it! This is a great getaway spot that I would recommend to anyone of all ages, and we hope to return to again soon!

This house was exactly what we needed for this trip. Ample cozy space to spread out, a well maintained pool, a stocked kitchen for cooking, and many memories made. Diana is a great host!

We had a very nice stay here at the cottage. Very cozy and quiet and within 30 min to Charlottesville. Host was very nice! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet vacation. Clean and comfy stay.

The cost was very agreeable in comparison to places closer to Charlottesville. The pool was not open yet for the summer which was very dissapointing so check with the owner beforehand! But the house was quant and mostly clean! I did not love the location just because of how far into windy roads we had to travel from main roads, but as long as you aren’t planning a lot of trips in and out it’s a sweet little cottage to get cozy in! With all of that said, I am not sure it was for me but recommend to most! The owner was very sweet and friendly, and it felt nice to have her right next door.

Second year to stay here. Diana very pleasant. Did lose water for awhile but it was the coldet Christmas in many years. Very nice neighbor came by and helped get water turned back on. House stayed warm.

Even though the property initially seemed remote in arrival, it was really not far from all of our planned stops over the weekend. The cottage was comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed the wineries and Walton Mountains. Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time to enjoy the pool!

Great experience with home, renter and location. Older home with no frills but perfect for a quiet family get away. We had a dog and crawling baby that felt safe, comfortable, and at home. The pool was the icing on the cake! Open in September for us, clean, beautiful and perfect! Lastly, the location to beautiful wineries is ideal- 20min drives to many great ones! Highly recommend this for your family stay! The master bed is a bit small…so plan to get close with your spouse!

We enjoyed our stay as it was a great spot to unplug and reset with our daughter before heading back to school. The pool was fantastic and owner was very welcoming. Be prepared for older appliances and a tricky grill if you’re planning on cooking much during your stay. Acceptable level of cleanliness though not immaculate. We did a quick sweep and wipe down when we got in. Overall we were very happy with our stay and left feeling very relaxed and rested. Oh and the deer family visits in the evening were a great highlight!! **Ask owner before driving there about proper directions from Route to her actual address. Google maps has you cutting through a neighbor’s property with is listed as no trespassing** The owner, Diane, was no aware of this until I shared with her on out 4th night staying.

This cottage was just what I needed to get away from the city. The property was well maintained, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. The host was very accommodating and friendly. The pool was very clean and a refreshing escape from the warm temps. I also enjoyed seeing the deer come in the yard to graze in the evenings and Charlottesville is just a short drive away if you want to go out and explore. Just a fabulous place to stay!

Quaint little home nestled in a beautifully wooded landscape. Well manicured property and pool! Very pleasant owner/caretaker. Private and out of the way. Well maintained home and amenities as well. Great WiFi connection, not great cellular service. (Though sometimes this is actually a perk!!!)

This is a secluded house near Charlottesville, and it was good for our little family of three. It was a little but farther out from Charlottesville than I would have liked, but we made it work. The roads in and out of the place were windy and if you get car sick easily then that could be a problem for you. Nearest grocery store was 14 minutes, but the place was really well outfitted for cooking, etc. There was a grill and a pool. Plenty of towels, linens, and some books and toys for my toddler. I've stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one was better stocked with necessities than lots of others.

What a wonderful property! Exactly as described and then some! My husband and I came here for a short getaway and throughly enjoyed every minute. The hostess is welcoming and inviting and property reflects that! The beds were comfortable, keep in mind there is one double and two twin beds🙂. Fully stocked kitchen with every gadget you would need to cook or bake, WiFI, streaming TV, games, a wonderful bathroom and then the pool. Diana cleaned it every morning before we got out there and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends and family. Very quite, very secluded, but not too far of you want to go to wineries, Charlottesville, or tubing. What a gem!

Quiet neighborhood, not far from Charlottesville. Lots to do in the area. Thankful host provided games as I forgot to bring some! Master only a double bed, which was a bit uncomfortable, and only 1 bathroom but okay for a weekend getaway. Very reasonably priced.

The host was very accommodating when I got really sick the night before we were supposed to check in and needed to delay our arrival. She was very friendly when speaking with her as well. The property was as described and looks exactly like the photos. My only complaint is that the host expects the guests to leave the kitchen clean upon departure. My husband and I had to wash the dishes and wipe everything down BEFORE we could use it. The whole kitchen was greasy from previous guests, which was a little off-putting. There was also a ladybug problem in the house, which was charming at first, but after a few days, it got cumbersome to relocate the ladybugs so that we could do things in the house like brush our teeth and eat.

Had a girl weekend getaway. The atmosphere was quite homey and quiet. We were looking for a restful place to go since we are all extremely busy. We will definitely look at comedy back. The owner of the property was very nice and helpful when we wanted to find shopping areas.
