Murphys Place has everything you need for your stay plus a nice outdoor pool area! The hosts are on site and the friendliest people we have ever encountered using VRBO! La gave us recommendations for things to see in the area that we would not have found ourselves. We have stayed here twice and both times were great!

La and Murphy are wonderful hosts. They were full of hospitality yet we had a great apartment to ourselves. They let us stay longer to use the pool with a water slide our daughter loved. Trampoline for kids as well and goats!

The property is exactly as described. It is located in a a quiet location and offers lots of things on site to do which is extra special if you have kids (pool, volleyball, basketball, goats). We look forward to returning next year!

This place is such a cute place and fun for kids. The pool was a blast and super clean. They let my daughter feed the goats and she just had a blast. The space was very clean and enjoyable. The hosts were so very friendly and welcoming we loved our stay here while we were going to a wedding nearby.

This home is a great place to stay. It is very clean and modern. The pictures on the website are accurate, as they have kept up the home nicely. It has all the basics you will need for your stay. The neighborhood looked safe. The owner is very gracious and kind. She gave us great tips for our hiking plans. I highly recommend you to book this place.

We had a great stay at Murphy's Place in Afton for our 20y anniversary. The apartment was very nicely designed and had everything we needed. Easy access to the surrounding area for hiking, brewery visits, and more. And we made it up to Humpback Rock!

This was a great property in the perfect location close to the wineries, breweries and restaurants. It was very quiet and peaceful at the same time. The home is wonderful and had everything we needed. The goats are adorable and we had a couple of friendly cats who were available for heads scratches and purrs. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy the area. They just put in a fire pit and sitting area outside as well.

Everything we needed for our stay in the middle of wine country. Out in the country and quiet. Very neat and clean. Rooms were up to date and the bathroom was very nice. Would highly recommend staying here.

Murphy's Place was a perfect location at the vicinity of our family's homes. La and her family were harm and friendly. This property has pet and wildlife all around. Beautiful Awe! The interior was cosey and spacious. We will be returning during warmer temperatures, to experience the recreational activities of the Murphy's Place property.

Murphy's place was a perfect location for visiting the local wineries and breweries. The bathroom was spacious and the large shower is amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and knowledgable of the area. Can't wait to make another trip out again. Thanks!

We stayed in this cute apartment over Labor Day weekend with our teenage boys and loved it. It was super easy to find and was located in the heart of wineries and breweries. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and not intrusive at all. My husband and kids made use of the pool all 3 days we were there. They especially loved the water slide and diving board! It was a real treat for my MIL, who lives nearby in a senior living community, to come over and watch them play in the pool from the wonderfully large deck with comfy furniture. And yes, the shower is just as luxurious as all the reviews say. We loved it! We won't hesitate to stay in this apartment again next time we are in the area.

This 2 Bedroom was a great weekend away for our family of 4. Convenient location to hikes, wineries, breweries and the parkway and Shenandoah. Along with a great backyard and pool full of activities that our two young kids enjoyed - with goats and peacocks too! La and her family are so nice and friendly and were available with any questions or needs. Would stay here again in the fall or winter. Highly recommend!

The property was exactly as described. The owners were extremely friendly, and while they had friends and family on site for 4th of July festivities, they were very inclusive. Our boys loved the pool and feeding the goats, and it’s only 5 minutes away from a handful of excellent breweries/wineries.

The house was adorable and the whole property is charming. We did not have time to use pool, but the pool area was very nice and super clean. It is very safely fenced off, if that is a concern. The owners were so nice and helpful— we enjoyed meeting them. The apartment was very well equipped and immaculate. The shower was fantastic!! We had a great time and wish we’d had more time to relax there. It was a busy wedding weekend for us though. The venues we went to— Veritas Farmhouse and Blue Mountain Brewery were very close by and convenient— minutes away. We look forward to coming back.

We stayed while visiting family in the area. The unit was well laid out and had an amazing shower in the bathroom. the hosts were very helpful and friendly, I recommend this place very highly. We enjoy cooking and they had more kitchen things than most rentals typically have.

Great, quiet location for those wanting to winery hop in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtn area around Afton; that's what my husband and I did. The host and hostess were very welcoming and made recommendations for places to visit as well. Lots going on in that area of VA these days. Check it out.

We arrived to find our apartment ready and shining clean. The place is welcoming and well appointed, even better than anticipated based upon photos. Beds are comfortable, kitchen and bathroom modern and spacious. The shower is fantastic! Heating/cooling controls in each room for max comfort. We were very close to multiple wineries (we visited), breweries, and great hiking. Very nice and a very reasonable price. The host is friendly and helpful, available at a moments notice. Would definitely stay again!

We were only there one night on our way from Monticello to Shenandoah but it was a perfect resting place. Spotless, very comfy bedding, and very easy access to all the area attractions. Will absolutely try to stay again if we are in the area.

Excellent get-away. We really appreciated a WELL thought out floor plan. Too often mountain cabins are cramped, lack essentials, and are poorly maintained. On the other hand, sometimes you find the diamond in the rough! From the tasteful art, to the spacious bedrooms, to the appliances, this VRBO was perfect for our family of four.
