HighlightsIdeally situated in central La Tzoumaz, this penthouse apartment next to the main telecabin departure point is ski-in and ski-out. The supermarket, restaurants bars and children's playground are all just a few steps away.
Fully refurbished by 2018, this 4-bedroom property is ideal for extended family or a group of friends. The stunning views from both the front and rear balconies are breathtaking, and the south-facing balcony is fully glass-enclosed comprising 2 sections: an upstairs relaxing zone accessed from two of the bedrooms with comfy sofas and chairs; and a lower area which makes a wonderful (and large) second dining area complete with chandelier and amazing views. The kitchen / dining area is perfect for swapping stories of the day's challenges over a traditional mountain raclette or fondue, and the high-ceilinged living room is a great place to gather around the open fireplace and plan the next day's mountain adventures.
Bedrooms BathroomsThis four-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment comfortably sleeps 8 adults. All bedrooms and bathrooms were included in the refurbishment and there is beautifully comfortable solid wood furniture in all bedrooms. There is a master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (WC, bath and overhead shower) and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. A second twin bedroom shares the third bathroom (WC and shower) with a bunk bedroom (fitted with two 90cm x 190cm beds). The Penthouse is equipped with a high chair and a folding travel cot (bedding not provided) suitable for children under 2 years old, and a second is available on demand on arrival. Please note that in accordance with the manufacturer's safety instructions, additional mattresses are not provided with the cots.
EquipmentThe kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need for family or group catering, including a dishwasher, microwave, electric filter coffee machine, Nespresso & Dolce Gusto coffee machines, kettle, toaster, oven, hob and separate freezer. There are fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire, and a wine chiller fridge in the outer dining area. A hairdryer and iron are available. Each room is fitted with thermostatically-adjustable central heating radiators. There is a shared (coin-operated) washing machine and dryer available in the building, along with a shared ski-storage room.
RelaxingComing home from a day in the mountains, it is a real pleasure to ski (or mountainbike) right back to the apartment! Once inside, the views from the top floor apartment are stunning. On a blue-sky day, the front view stretches 20km, from the floor of the Rhone Valley up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond. The enclosed south-facing balconies at the rear are set up for relaxation and dining and have lovely uphill views of the telecabins gliding up the mountainside. Although unheated, the balcony areas quickly warm up in the sunshine on a sunny summer's afternoon, and small electric fan heaters are provided for occasional use in winter. If you are in need of distraction, there is a flat-screen TV with international channels and a DVD player.
InternetPenthouse Les Telecabines is equipped with high-speed WIFI for your own private use during your stay. The TV package has a wide range of TV channels including the main UK TV channels, Sky News etc.
PetsWe’re sorry but this is a pet-free property during the winter months (December to April). Please browse our selection of pet-friendly rentals if you would like to travel with your pet during the winter season. Dogs are permitted at other times, on request, and our standard 50 CHF pet cleaning fee applies.
Parking and accessThere are two parking spaces reserved for the apartment in the shared car park area underneath the building. Additional parking spaces are available in the free outdoor public car park 300m down the road. Winter tyres and/or snow chains sometimes necessary to reach the village in winter due to frequent snowfalls, however chains must be removed before entering the car park underneath the apartment building. From here an elevator takes you directly up to the private top floor and opens directly into the apartment.
There is an additional pedestrian/skier access at the rear of the building. The apartment is a 1-minute walk from the bus stop, supermarket and children's playground. Car not necessary due to proximity to ski-lifts, restaurants and supermarket - contact us for airport or railway transfers.
WinterThe Penthouse les Telecabines apartment is ski-in and ski-out as it is situated at the bottom of the main piste, at the departure point of the main telecabin. This modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier’s legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.
SummerIn the peak summer season (from early July to late August), we provide you with free VIP pedestrian lift-passes, half-price mountain-bike daypasses and a range of other discounts. The telecabin link to Verbier operates daily at this time of year from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian, or accompanied by your bicycle or e-bike. For a small supplement you can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for the highest fondue in Europe and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. Visit the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, and the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The Bisses are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved and can now be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We will provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier. Try not to miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.
For familiesThe centre of La Tzoumaz benefits from an outdoor ice-skating rink in winter, and a children's playground area in summer, with a rope-based agility park alongside more traditional equipment such as slides. A fun channel system with running water is built into the hillside to provide plenty of entertainment for older children too.
At the exit of the village the Domus playground is a fabulous spot, often bathed in late afternoon sunshine, with swings, a zipline, see-saw, climbing frames and even old tractors to clamber on. It is overlooked by an outdoor cafe (check opening hours) providing drinks, snacks and ice-creams. There are rabbits, donkeys, goats, and there is also rock-climbing on the local crag in the background (contact us for equipment and instructors).
The Maison de la Foret has a cafe area for drinks and snacks (check opening hours), wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail with hands-on activities to borrow such as bird-whistling and learning to draw. The Nature Trail has disabled parking and is accessible to wheelchairs and children's buggies.
Right at the top of the village is the "Defis de la Riviere", which is equipped as an outdoor physical challenge area for older kids on the river. There are sensory walking areas for younger children and a basket swing, and also a picnic spot nearby.
A short drive down the valley takes you to the large lake at the Parc des Iles, with its playgrounds, high-ropes park, minigolf, restaurant, miniature train and more.

Perfect location
Very cosy and tastefully decorated apartment. We loved it. La Tzoumaz skiarea is not big but very good pistes with good posibilities to go off piste. We have alteady rented it next year 😀

Perfekter Skiurlaub
Lage, Ausblick, Einrichtung, Service sind perfekt - besser geht es nicht! Besonders gut gefallen haben uns Wintergarten und der Aufzug von der Tiefgarge/ vom Skikeller (unbelüftet und unbeheizt, also verbesserungswürdig - das ist aber jammern auf hohem Niveau) direkt ins Wohnzimmer.
Unsere Gruppe bestand aus Skifahrern "Könner", Skifahrern "Anfänger" und Nicht-Skifahrern. Jeder kam auf seine Kosten. Genau überlegen sollte man bei der Wahl des Skipasses: Für Anfänger reicht wirklich der kleine Skipass. In die anderen Täler gelangt man nur über sehr anspruchsvolle Skirouten (Niveau schwarz, Buckel, nicht präpariert) oder mit Gondeln/ Liften. Und dann findet man dort überwiegend Schlepper... Das Skigebiet Bruson ist ganz nett und auf den Mont Fort muss mann unbedingt. Dafür kann aber auch an der Tageskasse ein separates Ticket gekauft werden.

Wohlfühloase in Toplage
Eine gemütlich und ansprechend eingerichtete Wohnung mit genug Platz für acht Personen. Die Lage direkt neben der Gondelstation ist perfekt. Das Haus selbst ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, versprüht dadurch aber Retro-Charme. Die Betreuung durch die Agentur war hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend, wenn wir etwas zu reklamieren hatten, kümmerte man sich umgehend darum.

Fantastic location, beautiful spacious apartment with lovely furnishings
The Penthouse is ideally located next to the ski lift so you can ski in and out, plus it has all the surrounding amenities that you need to enjoy your stay.
The Penhouse Les Telecabin building has parking plus a boot and ski room, and key lift access to the apartment, which is beautifully furnished and has a lovely homely feel. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay, and deceptively spacious.
We had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed the ease of the apartment as well as the skiing in La Tzoumaz and having access to Verbier as well.

perfect in everyway......
The apartment is perfectly situated in the village, with easy access to the ski slopes using the lift which takes you from your apartment to the ski storage and then only metres to the ski lift. when not skiing the swimming pool and massage facilities are readily available should a day off be needed. The apartment is setup to be able to sleep minimum of 9 people in comfort, with indoor/outdoor dining areas for entertaining your friends. There is a new well laid out kitchen and large flat screen TV for relaxing in front of. We had a superb time and would use the apartment again if we have the opportunity. The resort is perfect as the snow remains in perfect condition even when neighbouring Verbier slopes are slushy. Its also at the start of a moderately challenging backcountry ski route up the hill if you're feeling energetic. The ski schools in town are really friendly as is the ski rental. Well worth a stay if you are luck enough to find an slot in the holidays.

The building is next to the main skilift, close to supermarket and bakery, great view
The building is rather old, build in the seventies but all facilities are available. Ski room downstairs and washing room, bakery is right under the building, supermarket closeby and skilift around the corner. If the sun shines, the balcony is a very nice spot to sit and enjoy the warmth and sun. The view on the other side of the living room is stunning and beautiful. The appartment is redecorated but not quite finished yet.

Lovely Apartment
The apartment is really well located, above the bakery and right next to the ski lifts, which meant we could walk everywhere and get on the first lifts on the powder days! It has underground parking which is a bonus. (Check the height if you have skis on your roof!) There is also underground storage for skis and boots.
It is spacious but cosy, particularly the sitting area. It also has a very well equipped kitchen and we had a lovely and relaxing stay. Thank you!
