We loved staying here! It was the most well stocked home we have stayed in. The owners have put thought into the tiny details with things you sometimes forget to bring. Parking is tricky but the owners can give advice on parking. We had 7 cars parked at one time. Use the turnaround and back up the last part of the driveway. That makes it a lot better for when you go to leave.

It was a brief stay, but a perfect bonding weekend for our family. Busy lives and young kids make it tough to stay connected. This little weekend retreat was the ticket! Plenty to do even in adverse weather and plenty of space to do it in! Thanks for it all!

We were greeted by deer upon our arrival. Home was comfortable and was in a great location. Stayed here while visiting our son at App. Hot tub, pool table and fusbol table were added bonuses. Dog friendly. Would recommend.

Beautiful views and Lisa answered all questions promptly. Parking can be tricky if you have a large vehicle.

Spectacular 'Cabin', but more of a new build. Great Host. Everything clean and working. Very safe location convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone and Grandfather.
Highly recommend@

As is written in the property description, the driveway up to the property is very steep, curves, and is long. We were in a pickup truck and parking so that we could get back out was difficult- you would not want to back down the driveway!
The upper level master bedroom needs a new mattress. The king bed on the main level was much more comfortable. There were ants in the master bath.
Kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you need to cook and serve meals.
The neighborhood is quiet and the deck is nice.

Great accommodations for two couples. Home was spacious and inviting. Covered decks were wonderful. Parking and driveway were somewhat of a challenge for larger vehicles.

This was the more relaxing VRBO property we have stayed at. It is in a great location, close to stores, restaurants, wineries but overall private, being at the end of an access road. We loved the layout and I brushed up on my game of pool. Very enjoyable was the large deck on the second floor. Great for relaxing, sipping on coffee or enjoying a great wine.

Spacious, beautiful view, close to Grandfather Mountain and Boone!

Listing is deceptive about the # of cars that can be parked w/o turn-around problems. Spent way to much time "arranging" cars to avoid backing down the steep driveway. Wintertime there must be horrible to negotiate.

Great place to stay near Boone within 30 min drive of Sugar Mountain Resort! Make sure to try Pedalin Pig BBQ just down the road. Hope we can come back soon!

The house was very spacious with a cozy feel. The location is excellent as it is centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

Really nice cabin
Had a great time. It snowed the night we arrived and the yard was great for sledding. If you come up during ice or snow, be prepared for icy roads as the last 5 miles are interesting. Owner was great to work with.

Lovely mountain cabin
Great location and nice house. Perfect for family with a lot of space for spreading out. Neighbor's dogs did bark all day and all night. Not a problem for me since I wear ear plugs at night but just be aware. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Fantastic Location and Property
This was our first travel opportunity with our 5 month old and it was the perfect getaway. We enjoyed the fantastic views and the location was good to travel to either Boone or Blowing Rock.

Home away from Home
This property was perfect for our family! We had plenty of accomodations for everyone (age 3 months -55y/o). Daily hikes and activities all within a short drive away! Great kitchen for large family meals, Fire pit w S'mores a real family treat. Billiards table and Darts provided rainy day competition! All the comforts of home! Thank you!

Very nice place and located close enough to all the ski slopes to say central located.
Ditto the driveway as previous reviews. We had 3 vehicles was a little daily shuffle but manageable. The trash situation wasn’t as clear as I would have liked so here it is...there is no garbage service you have to take your trash to local transfer station. 15-20 minutes there and 15-20 minutes back. No drop off on Tuesday, the day we left but found a dumpster at Ingles! Sorry if we weren’t supposed to pitch our garage. Few lights out in master bath but hopefully owners get that fixed up. Pool sticks needed tips messaged owner got em asap. Great long weekend recommend location and this cabin.

Great location and great experience
House was clean, wifi worked perfect, driveway was a little tight but we had room to get our trucks turned around. Great place for a vacation and would come back again!

Beautiful scenery, cabin, deer
This cabin has it all! It is big, beautiful and peaceful. Saw deer every morning and snow on the ground. Had a wonderful stay. Only negative is a neighbors barking dog. Recommend Boone Delivers. No lights on the narrow road to/from property. *no communication w property manager but with owner.

Exactly what we hoped for
The cabin was centrally located in Blowing Rock with access to lots of fun things to do and see. The place was clean cozy and welcoming! Perfect weekend winter getaway for our little family. Thanks for the welcome s’mores!! So thoughtful!!

Nice getaway
We had a nice getaway with our family and dogs. The property was clean and organized. We found the driveway to be hard to navigate... with or without snow/ice. It is very steep and curvy. But otherwise had a nice time enjoying cooler weather in the mountains.

Girls long weekend getaway
The perfect home for our needs. Lovely, private setting at the top of a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Nice waking up to 7 to 8 deer grazing in the yard which backs up to a wooded area. The home was very clean, well stocked and very convenient to Blowing Rock and Boone shops and restaurants. We were on the go our entire visit. Flyfishing in the Watauga River, Tennessee, wine tasting and live music at Grandfather Vineyard, Hiking at Linville falls etc. Our only complaint is we could not stay longer.

Weekend Getaway
Very nice house/cabin that had everything we needed. Quiet and peaceful while only 10 minutes from Boone.

Fantastic stay! Home is well stocked
We loved this cabin! The owners have stocked everything beautifully and there are many thoughtful touches—books, comfy rockers, the “firefly jars”. The beds are comfy, the porches are awesome, and the cabin is quiet and private. It is a neighborhood, but the landscaping creates a little enclave of your own. Looking forward to a return stay!

Escape and Relax
Very well maintained. Lisa was extremely easy to work with and promptly responds to any requests. Driveway is steep, so larger cars need to be careful. It is a simple drive to any of the ski mountains and not terribly far from restaurants and convenience stores. Everything is comfortable about this home!

Perfect Peaceful Retreat
Sweet Escape was the perfect mountain escape for our family. From the time we set foot in this beautiful cabin to the day we left, our needs and expectations were far exceeded. The cabin was notably spacious, kitchen was well-stocked, beds were extremely comfortable, and linens were high quality and plentiful. High quality meets functionality comes to mind when thinking of Sweet Escape! Our family enjoyed our mountain getaway so much as this cabin was comfortable and is conveniently located in close proximity to so much. We hope you enjoy Sweet Escape as much as our family did!

Fantastic Cabin
Our family of 7 stayed at Sweet Escape and so enjoyed the cabin. Lisa was great to work with and so accommodating. Due to Hurricane Florence, our plans needed to be changed and she graciously rearranged our travel dates! Not only that, she left smores for us to enjoy by the firepit. HOW WONDERFUL!! The cabin was roomy, VERY clean, kitchen well stocked, enjoyed the pool table, and close to town. Overall a beautiful place. THANK YOU SO MUCH LISA!!!
