About this house rental
Privately nestled in old-growth woodland on a one acre lot in a Maggie Valley mountainside community, Falling Waters offers 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and lots of space for stretching out and enjoying all that mountain living has to offer. A rushing stream spans the property, pouring over boulders and filling the air with the sound of falling water. Falling Waters is perfect for
multi-family gatherings or couples looking for a beautiful mountain getaway.
On the main level, the great room is a wonderful gathering space, from the rustic wood floors to the towering cathedral ceiling, complete with skylight and a spacious, secure loft that is a favorite spot for our kids.
The great room is warmed by a gas burning Jotul fireplace, filled with comfortable furnishings and accompanied by a ‘smart’ TV system. Also on the main level of the home are two king size suites and a modern kitchen with maple cabinets and lots of counter space. The creek level of the home, renovated in 2016, has a cozy den with a smart TV entertainment system and ample comfortable furnishings. At creek level, 2 brightly-appointed adjoining bedrooms include queen and twin beds, respectively.

We enjoyed our Mom’s 80th birthday trip. Home was beautiful and spacious and clean. We all enjoyed the location and hot tub and outside balcony/porch.

Positive comments first: Well paved, easy access to cabin. Beautiful Creek on property. Plenty of pillows & bedding. Comfortable beds. Good Hot Tub. Great pots & pans. HOT tap water. Hosts provide laundry products, paper products, hygiene products. Perhaps a binder with Wi-Fi password & Trash/recycle info and address would be helpful.
Now the not so positive: We stayed for a month, so we noticed more than a typical renter might. Master tub very slippery when you are all soaped up, we bought a tub mat for safety. Large pothole at top of driveway, Bridge rail lights not working, Dishwasher leaks (hosts are aware of this), one burner on stove not working. Mugs, glasses, bowls & plates could be rearranged for easier access. Cabin would benefit from a Deep Cleaning & touch up paint, lots of dust bunnies & webs in laundry room. Crumbs and dirt under sofa near kitchen. Mold in Keurig coffee drip tray. We switched the hoses on washing machine, the hot and cold-water hoses were hooked up incorrectly.

We had a great time. The house is huge and beautiful. It was quiet and had no problem finding it.

My family stayed here in the middle of June and it was so nice. The house and property has lots of shade so it stayed nice and cool. We especially loved the deck with the grill and spent lots of time hanging out there. I will say that the downstairs gets pretty cold sometimes (no fault of the owners!) so if you want the thermostat to be set at a comfortable temp in the upstairs then the bottom areas are quite chilly! But they did supply lots of extra blankets.
Also if you want to sit by the fire pit bring a couple of folding chairs because there is limited seating by the fire pit. There is a big log to sit on as well as a picnic table but the smoke always seemed to flow directly toward the picnic table and that made us have to move around. However, when we went to get some of the plastic chairs that were there on the deck, one of them was already broken and the other snapped! Probably just time to go to chair heaven, but anyways just FYI. Again not faulting the owners - these things happen.
Overall everyone loved the house. I would definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed time with our family at this home. It was great to be able to spend time together and get a little separation and privacy when needed.
Parking is a little limited, but we had two vehicles and it was fine for us. More than two could get a little tight. We would stay there again if we are in this area again.

We stayed for the mini truck show which also happened to fall on my anniversary weekend. The owners were wonderful and allowed us early access to the property on the first day of check in!! The property is absolutely beautiful, the people in our party were enamored with the creek access from the property, which even has a quick scramble down the river rocks to access some hammocks next to the creek. Beautiful property!!! The neighbors across the street were incredibly friendly and came over to say hi upon our arrival to the property. We really enjoyed our stay and had more than enough room for our group of 7. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Our group is hoping to be able to rent this property again next year for our annual trip to the valley for mini truckin nationals.

We had a lovely time at the Falling Waters house! We loved the location and the house itself. Unfortunately it rained for a majority of our stay, so we couldn't take advantage of the amazing outdoor space, but we loved the hot tub! The kitchen was well stocked for our needs and their responses to our questions were answered quickly. The beds were so comfy and clean. I'd definitely recommend staying here and I hope to stay here again!

My family and I were able to meet up and spend Christmas at the beautiful Falling Waters home. Every thing about this stay was perfect. The home was easy to find and located within a short distance of the ski area. It was stocked like no other place I’ve ever stayed . The kitchen had everything we needed - coffees, spices, and all the storage bags we could have needed. It was super neat and clean, everyone had a place to sleep and the beds were so comfortable.
If we ever make it back to Maggie Valley, I hope this home is available❤️

The owners of this house are so kind and responded quickly to any inquiries we had. The house itself is in a perfect location, tucked away in the hills but conveniently located. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed for our 4 night stay with a large family. There are plenty of beds, linens, kitchen tools/spices, and things to do. The creek was a beautiful and fun added bonus. We hardly left the house our entire stay! We will definitely be coming back for a Summer trip.

The property was very clean, spacious and fun for the whole family! The owners were so thoughtful they even left us a delicious pie and a bushel of apples! A great time if you want to get away to the mountains!

This property is nestled into a wooded area but not too far off the beaten path. I loved sitting in the window seat watching the rain and creek. We enjoyed the fire pit and playing with our dog alongside the creek as well. Would have liked more seating around the fire pit. The hosts were extremely quick to respond to questions.

We were up in Maggie Valley for a wedding and wanted a central location to camp. Getting to the house was easy, but coming down the mountain from the house is where you get one of the most beautiful views ever!! The house was nice, a little older and dated as shown in the pics. It could use a good dusting for the floor boards and closets, and a good floor cleaning, but other than that, everything was very clean. It was well stocked with all the extras needed, which was nice. The beds were super soft; which I know most people like; but they were way too soft for me. Bruce was a great communicator and would respond within minutes. Thanks for a great trip!

This home was very clean, comfortable beds, lots of lining and a well stock pantry.
The gazabo and steam was awesome.
Just an FYI the main floor where you park has 2 bed rooms the you go up one floor for the kitchen, primary bed room, 1 Addtional bed room and bath. On the 3rd floor there is big loft with 3 single beds.
The property can be hard to find at night if you have not been there before.

Lovely location on a wooded hillside with small creek providing soothing ambiance. The outdoor space is lovely. 4 private bedrooms and sleeping loft with super comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equipped with cooking and eating utensils, storage containers, pantry items, cleaning supplies. Nice toiletries, nearly new gas grill on deck. This house was a great choice for our group of friends to gather and reconnect. Very convenient to Waynesville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Smoky Mountain NP. We all enjoyed our visit and definitely recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay at your home in Maggie Valley. We have been going there for the last 10 years and I have to stay this was the best home so far. It was so relaxing sitting out on the deck with coffee in the morning and listening to the stream. The kids loved the location the looked they looked for gold in the stream. They didn’t find any but enjoyed looking. The home was laid out beautifully we had plenty of room. There were nine of us ranging from 67 to 4 and we all had a great time. I would definitely recommend this home you can thank me later. Amazing vacation!!!!

The property was perfect for our needs and was well stocked with basic amenities. The beds were soft and comfortable. We stayed here while hiking and white water rafting. We also explored Ashville and Bryson city a little. My young adult children really enjoyed the hot tub and visiting the Stomping Ground on Friday and Saturday nights (just down the road) to learn how to two step from some helpful locals.

When we head to a VRBO we plan on cooking at least 1 meal/day while there. If you do the same..... Bring NOTHING in the way of cookware or utensils. They have it ALL!!! We've booked this home for everything from girls weekend to couples to grandparents 80th birthday....its a very cozy, comfortable, spacious place and the fur babies love it too.

It was great to have a jacuzzi after a day on the slopes, and the kids liked it too. The covered outdoor sitting area is great to sit and have a drink or coffee, morning and night, and relax to the sound of the creek running. Enough room for the kids and grandkids too, and the beds were very comfortable.

3rd year in the cabin and was as great as always. Love the upgrades in fridge, free snacks and wine, and TVs. Will definitely stay again next year if not before then.

We had the best time and the house was amazing! Plenty of extra touches! Fresh flowers, cake, snacks and a bottle of wine! The host was so sweet and quick to respond! The beds were plentiful and comfortable! I sat on the window seat and read four books! The sound of the creek was relaxing! We even saw white tailed deer! Can not recommend this home enough!

There was enough rooms to go around - even to the one who had to have her own private room! The beds were comfortable, too. The 2 with bad knees stayed in the main floor, the 2 youngest (50 - 60) slept in the loft, the 3 sisters (60 - 75) slept on the ground floor. Every one was happy!

Wow what a great weekend!! The place was spotless. My son proposed to his girlfriend on the back deck. It’s was perfect!!! Thank you for a great stay.

Great location! Feels remote yet close to all the conveniences and mountain activities we were looking for. Plenty of space for our group to spread out inside the cabin. As other reviews mention, the kitchen is fabulously stocked. We will happily return for another stay!

This is our 2nd time and we all voted to rent same week next year. It's kept clean and has everything you need for a nice relaxing time.

The hosts have gone to great lengths to ensure that their guests have a comfortable, home-like stay. We did not use the kitchen except for light breakfasts, but it appears to have all of the items that a cook would normally need. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are complimentary and the pantry contains spices and other pantry essentials that prior guests may have left behind. The hosts further thoughtfully provided a supply of chips and energy bars. Bring your own air fryer or food processor, however. The pantry also contains a number of board games. There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink.
There is an ample supply of shampoo and body wash, as well as laundry detergent and dryer sheets. There are extra blankets and pillows if needed. Enjoy high speed internet and TV with no interruptions. The setting is very tranquil with a rushing creek and tall trees. There are houses nearby but nothing detracted from the serenity of the property. The paved road to the mountainside location is somewhat steep and curvy but there are no drop-offs and the drive does not produce anxiety. Two vehicles can park at the door and the longish driveway can accommodate several additional vehicles. If two vehicles are parked at the door one will need to back out as there is no turnaround space.
The property is conveniently located in the middle of Maggie Valley's main area, with access to shops, restaurants and trout fishing. Be aware that many restaurants close at 8:00 p.m. The location is also convenient to Lake Junaluska, and downtown Waynesville with additional shops and restaurants.
This is a lovely property with ample space for guests to spread out. The second floor loft overlooks the kitchen/den area and the young people greatly enjoyed it. The dining area conveniently opens onto the deck/gazebo with bench, additional table and chairs and propane grill. Stairs lead down to the hot tub. Both second floor bedrooms have king beds and TV's. The stairs are not carpeted but the hosts have provided baby gates if needed.
I highly recommend this property and would stay again without hesitation. Thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay!
