Nestled in 200 acres of woods and tucked away just south of Rockford Illinois, our facilities at Kilbuck Creek are the perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of your busy lives. Our beautiful log cabin home is the perfect place to reconnect with loved ones, and our ceremony site and reception hall make for an idyllic setting for Weddings!
Reset your mind and soul with a walk in our 5 miles of groomed trails, and after you have soaked up all the sounds of nature, come on in and soak in our large indoor spa. When your ready for some fun, splash into our indoor pool and have fun creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our pool and spa are open all rear round!
The Kilbuck Creek runs along side the property, so bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and floating tubes to enjoy the fun side of nature!

As the owner of this property, I have raised all 6 of my children here, and I've handpicked almost everything you see in the house. My kids grew up coming down the stairs on Christmas morning, or playing in the woods till the sun went down, and we have spent countless meals together in this kitchen. This home and property holds so many special memories and means so much to our family, and we love that we can now share this special place with other families so they can experience that joy as well.
Having said that, it is with the utmost sincerity that we ask you to treat our home with the respect it deserves. Please understand that this isn’t just a business to us, this is where my children have been raised and where we still come together to spend quality time with each other. Our cleaning staff is like family to us, and they put a lot of time and energy into getting the house ready for each group. Please help them out by picking up the house before checkout, it’s greatly appreciated!!

Kilbuck Creek is amazing. The place is beautiful and the staff is driven by customer care. Our family reunion was everything we wanted it to be and we are already looking at dates for next year. We will be back.
The comment I kept hearing from my family was "This place has everything we need." It's clean, has plenty of space, and has a special feeling about it. The whole experience went beyond our expectations and we now have memories for a lifetime.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and the people who run it! The communication from before our stay and all the way through was timely and thorough. Every single person involved with the property that we came into contact with was so friendly, helpful and kind. Wow, what an unbelievable property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kilbuck Creek. The house is massive and incredibly clean! The pool and pool house was a huge hit with our entire group. The grounds are also beautiful. We went on a nature hike and had a great time playing outside as well. Communication with the host was top notch. I would recommend Kilbuck creek in a heartbeat. I already have had people ask if we can do it again next year. Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed our stay. Was clean and easy to communicate with owner. Had 11 kids, 9 adults, and plenty of room. No doubt the pool was the highlight for the kids. Great place for friends and family to create lasting memories.

!2 of us came together for a professional leadership retreat. It was an awesome property to be able to get out of the office and its distractions and have focused discussion and great team building time with co-workers. We booked for next year, while we were there, so that tells you how we really felt.

My vision was to celebrate Thanksgiving with my 5 children, their spouses and my 12 grandchildren all in one space. The stay exceeded my expectations. We had enough bed accommodations, the indoor pool was a blast for my grandchildren. We had a AWESOME stay!

We had a small get together with family and friends. It was very nice to have access to an indoor pool and hot tub. The pool was colder than we were expecting but we still enjoyed it and really used the hot tub. The "cabin" was amazing and we all liked the birds, especially my granddaughter. It was a little bit too cold to explore the property but what I saw was beautiful and well maintained. The views of the creek from the porch is also an unexpected perk. We will definitely be back.

Our group of retired brothers and sisters stayed to share memories. We have a group of 13 staying for a few days. This has become a yearly adventure. This is the second time we’ve stayed at Kilbuck Creek. The area is beautiful with such a large spacious yard. The house is amazing and fits our needs. I would suggest that anyone would be happy in this home.

The only issue with this place, is that it is so wonderful, that it is hard to go more often as it books up so fast. just ended our 3rd visit and cant wait to go back next year.

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The place was excellent! We have 2 kids with us and they have stair gates which made us at ease seeing them running around freely. The place was big and place was quite and the pool and jacuzzi was at good size for all of us! Totally a good place if your are looking for a place to have fun and have a some peace away from the busy city with your friends and family!

Amazing property, perfect for our family. Enjoyed all aspects of this rental especially the spaciousness and peace and quiet. Plenty of room for outdoor games and of course the indoor pool was enjoyed by all! The birds were a great welcoming party. They were great entertainment for all of us. Would definitely recommend this beautiful property for a wonderful vacation.

This is our second time visiting Kilbuck Creek, this place is beautiful and peaceful. My family and I enjoy having our yearly family reunion there. Kilbuck Creek offers something for every member of my family with hrs of entertainment, no matter the time year; from the indoor pool, to fire pit and acres of nature. We had a great time playing volleyball, kickball, soccer, tag amongst other activities, Kilbuck Creek is great to disconnect from technology and connect with family!

This space was perfect for my bachelorette party - it felt like a private cabin hotel! Everyone raved about how perfect the space was! We had the best time especially in the pool house! Can’t recommend this home enough! It’s amazing in every way! Also can’t rave enough about the host communication - very prompt with responding to any of my questions. So happy we found this gem! Even a few of my family members want to rent this home for their next getaway!

What a fantastic property for a large group. We had many families stay for 2 nights with mixed of age groups and children. We all had a blast. Everything was clean and in great use. The property was fun for the kids to run around and explore. We’d definitely come back!

We rented this house for 4 days over spring break. There were 4 families and about 20 of us. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms. Even with bad weather, the pool and basement kept the kids entertained the whole time. The adults loved the pool house and covered patio. Would definitely come back!

This was such a great property for our group of 4 families with kids. There was plenty to do and we all thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. There was a chemical imbalance with the spa but they quickly came and fixed it. Thank you for such a great property!

We had 23 girls staying for a Bachelorette party. The house was amazing and the perfect for a girls weekend away. Mona was super attentive when we had a temperature control issue and sent Dave (the maintenance guy) over right away. He was so great! He even shoveled the driveway and porch for us. We would 100% stay here again. Wanting to come back in warm weather to be able to enjoy all the the outdoor amenities as well as the inside! Thank you so much!

The house provided a perfect winter getaway for a multi-generational weekend - plenty of beds for a large group, the pool offered entertainment for all ages, and the kids loved watching the birds in the living room. Fun weekend in the woods!

Tv dish was out, could not use main area fire place, foos ball table had no balls, pool cues were in bad shape. Pool was excellent along with cooking facilities. Jets did not work on hot tub

We had a family weekend with ages 1 to 84. There was lots of room, lots of beds and a great kitchen for large meals. The pool was a big hit, especially in Illinois in February. We had the best time and are already talking about going back. Communication was great with the property managers too. We highly recommend!

Adults only weekend away!! Every year, us 20 adults plan a weekend away just to get away from the real world for 2 nights...this time everyone agreed. This was the perfect place!!..It was the absolute best weekend!!
Check in was simple! The kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Pool and hot tub made you feel like your'e in a resort. It had an adjoining kitchen and lounging area..we called it the "Man Cave!" We didnt utilize the basement much, everyone was pretty much in the kitchen, man cave and living room most of the weekend!!
The living didnt have a tv. But you know what..IT HAD BIRDS!! We watched those birds from 6am until the bird lights went off at 9:07pm...We even named them!! "Yellow Pete" was our favorite!! Everyone said they wish there was a webcam so we all can watch them from home! Yep, we're weird, but we all really LOVED THEM!
The beds were comfy and rooms were extremely spacious (the pictures dont do them justice!!) We're all trying to find a date to come back this year, with all of our kids too, because they would absolutely Love it too!

We enjoyed Kilbuck Creek -- the pool and hot tub were great on a wintery weekend and there were many bedrooms with lots of beds. We didn't use the outdoor amenities much since it was cold and snowy, but the view was lovely. We liked the big dining room table and large buffet serving counter for meals. A couple of things to note: 1) the stairs are open between the steps so we were a little concerned about our 2 year old niece navigating them (but there are nice gates) and 2) there's only one small coffee pot but several carafes.
The property was very clean, beds and linens were decent and plentiful, kitchen had plenty of dishes for a big group.

This was our second time staying here and we will be back again!!! My husband and I do this for our family instead of buying a lot of gifts for Christmas. We Would rather give them memories instead of things. There were 17 of us ranging in age from 6-88 and everyone had a great time. The kids call it “The Mansion” ! They love the pool and the adults love the hot tub! The house is very clean and the birds in the living room are an added bonus. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Best Thanksgiving getaway we’ve had. The place is amazing. Very spacious and private. Everyone in our group had something to do from the little ones to the oldest ones. The house has everything you need. Kids loved the indoor pool house. Don’t have any negative comments about this place at all. Only thing we did encounter was TVs weren’t working during our stay. But if you’re thinking twice about renting don’t. It is worth it! We will definitely be back hopefully next time in the spring or summer.
