Lovely clean house, 2 mins from South Lakes Safari Zoo which we were visiting. Driveway for the car is a bonus. Would definitely stay here again.
Slight odor of burnt cheese or something similar when we arrived, disappeared once we opened a window. Not sure if it's just a chance happening?
4.5
Plenty of space in a family home. Great location if you are travelling by car.

Location was easy to find and only 5 minutes from South Lakes Zoo which we were visiting. Made a great base for visiting other parts of the area.

had most what we needed for our stay. central enough for travel for Barrow and Ulverston.
considering this is advertised as three double bedrooms and even though there were only four of us staying there the kitchen table is very small and only just seats four people, however the owner did kindly provide extra chairs so we could host family for dinner but table not big enough for everyone to sit around so some ended up eating off knees ,
The bathroom en suite shower very slippery as I found out when I fell! a bath mat is needed in here.
4.5
Rooms large and nicely decorated with quality furniture
The location is adjacent to the busy A590. I had no problems sleeping but it disturbed her sleep

Very comfortable house which was well equipped and everything for a relaxing stay. The rooms were large and clean. Communications with the owners/managers were good.
A folder with information on information about the house would be useful (heating control, air con control (in a UK house!, local info, wifi password) would be useful.
4.5
Clean, comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed.
Owner and staff very pleasant and helpful.
We have no criticisms at all.

The cottage was very clean. It had everything we needed. We had a very comfortable stay at the property. The cottage owner was very quick in reply.
There was nothing that I did not like about the cottage. However, few things could have been added to enhance its qualities. First, there can be a bigger mat to be placed on the kitchen floor as the floor gets very cold during winter time. Second, I wish there were some extra chairs in the kitchen to accommodate more people for a bigger family.

A nice, 3 bedroom ensuite, detached house just a short car journey from the lakes. Adequately equipped and offering good value for money.
Our family stayed here for 5 days in August and we couldn't fault it for the price. Local supermarkets a couple of miles down the road, beaches nearby and a great zoo practically on your doorstep - which our young kids loved.
We didn't spend a lot of time in the house, out every morning by 9.00am and then back in the evening for dinner and bed. We wanted somewhere that was affordable, not too far from the lakes and was clean and well presented.
When we visit the lakes again, we'll stay here.
There was nothing here we didn't like.

Lovely comfortable house. Outside of the Lake District park itself, but a very easy journey in to the main areas and that's no doubt reflected in the price. Top quality, all the facilities you need and extremely good value. We'd book again.

Great location.
Lots of space.
Tidy
The oven and trays were filthy.
There wasn’t anywhere to stand milk up in the fridge.
It also would have been useful to have some essentials to hand, such as: salt, pepper, shower gel, etc.
4.5
The house was well presented, very comfortable and spacious with all modern appliances available.
Location is well placed for visiting major Lake District attractions.
The sound of the traffic with windows open could be very loud however this was not too much of a problem as house was well ventilated and cool.
Unfortunately we were not aware that only one car is able to be parked on drive and additional cars need to be parked on layby on other side of road which again was not a big issue for us but could prove inconvenient if multiple car use is needed and layby is busy.

Me and my 2 friends stayed here for my friends 30th. The property was stunning and absolutely spotless. The owners were just a message away if I had any questions and even told us where was best to go out to eat. Speaking of, The Farmers pub is gorgeous and food was delicious. Overall 10/10 and would definitely stay again!

The property was very clean, spacious and overall excellent in terms of the location and everything else. 25 minutes from Windermere and Coniston and the South Lakes Safari Park was just two minutes away - well worth a visit. Ulverston is five minutes up the road and a lovely little town with lots of places to eat and drink. Highly recommended.
Nothing, very happy with my stay overall.
4.5
The house was spacious and comfy and the location was good to visit the surrounding lakes. Every question was answered quickly by the host and they were very helpful
The fridge door was not there so milk bottles couldn’t get stored without leakage. No familiarise yourself book for the house detailing electrical equipment or where local amenities were. The road is busy during the day but it’s ok at night so didn’t affect sleep. I was aware it was on a busy road though so it didn’t bother us. The washing machine draw and en-suite shower had mildew. Nothing major, just a few bits to improve.
