Quiet and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Underfloor heating. TV remote which WORKED!
Beds far too soft.

Ideally located for Newark Antiques Fair. Very homely and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the host. Lovely additions such as fresh milk provided.

the breakfast was really good, full all day my friend said that his mattress was on the way out, could feel the springs (mine was fine, really comfy. Room was very hot at night, could possibly have turned down heating a bit The value was fantastic 10/10 will defiantly book again for next year

How peaceful it was in beautiful surroundings the hostess was lovely & friendly nothing was too much trouble. Stayed with my son as we were going to the Newark airfield museum which was a few minutes in the car.

We were unable to stay for breakfast as we left very early to go to Newark Antiques Fair. In place of this we were given a packed lunch - we were extremely impressed.
Also loved having a fridge with the provision of fresh milk.
Extremely near to the showground which was very good for us.

The hostess was kind and accommodating. We were provided with a room to have our sandwiches and watch TV when we arrived late after a long journey. There was a good fridge.
The whole place gave the feeling of being tired and a bit run down. Our room had two beds, one was ok but the other had a v worn mattress that was uncomfortable and should have been replaced. The shower controls provided only v hot or cold water. The breakfast was served promptly and with a smile but was of budget quality.
4.1
Quiet rural location but close enough to tge village to walk to for food
Cooked breakfast was really good but I'd have loved fresh fruit salad and yogurt rather than apples, oranges and bananas as an option.

Sheila was a lovely hostess and wanted to make sure everything was as it should be, infact he went out of her way to help us when we needed he resolve a logistical issue that arose. The bed was comfy and the room was spotless.
Breakfast was delicious and we will no doubt re-visit in future.
Thanks

Felt like home. Cozy, clean and quiet. Our host, Sheila was very helpful and the breakfast was better than some 4 and 5 star hotels.
Previous guests mess up the loo. Flushing was a problem.

Breakfast was very nice and location was perfect as I was attending an event at the Newark Showground, so only just down the road. Nice, quiet surroundings too.

lovely room clean and large
lovely lady owner
brekkie nice
bit remote
pitch black coming back at night no lights to guide from car park to property
didn’t sleep lovely large bed but metal springs coming through mattress had to lay on quilt to try not to feel them then put other duvets from spare bed on mattress to sleep on. it was shame cos that’s the only reason wouldn’t go back glad to get home to bed

Breakfast and location excellent
Only the shower It only went on boiling hot or freezing cold!

The room was warm, clean and tidy with a nice view of the countryside, there was everything you'll need in the room for an overnight stay; also my food intolerance was catered for. White Dove B&B is not too far from the A17, but far enough away so that traffic noise didn't impact on my stay. It's location is only a couple of minutes away from the showground.
It's not a dislike. Although very clean, I thought generally the place could do with a lick of paint just to give it a lift.

The family room certainly has something of a "Wow" factor when you first enter. With a marble floor and underfloor heating, the standard of decor is quite high. The Bathroom looks fantastic, and having a separate dressing area is really useful. Breakfast was good.
This place certainly has a number of really good things going for it.
The first hint of trouble came when you enter the bathroom. The modern pillar-type tap appeared not to actually be fixed to the worktop, meaning that you had to hold it in place to actually use the tap. A minor thing, but one that needed to be addressed.
A more serious problem was hinted at by a small note saying words the effect that the drains were not great, so could guests not flush anything down the toilet that shouldn't be flushed. Fair enough I thought. Sadly, this proved to be something of an understatement - flushing the toilet normally caused it to fill up before draining, the sign of poor sewerage drainage. As if to emphasise this, when I took a shower with the large "soaker" showerhead the drain could not cope and, without me realising, the shower flooded onto the bathroom floor, out into the changing area before starting to seep under the door into the bedroom. We were able to mop this up with towels, but it did make the hard marble floor extremely slippery and dangerous.
The property itself is quite "quirky". The house has a modest sized garden, but the owner has given this over to "glamping", with an assortment of bell tents, gazebo-covered cooking and eating areas and chemical toilets. Now, if the gardens had been huge and the glamping had been situated in a portion of the garden then ok, but the bell tents were right outside the bedroom window - two of the family room windows were frosted to prevent people in the tents from looking straight in. When we sat in the breakfast room we were able to monitor who was using the chemical toilet outside through a picture window - the toilet was a matter of 10ft away from the window... The walk from the car park to the house was inadequately illuminated, possibly so as not to annoy the glampers in the garden after dark, but it didn't make finding your way to the house easier. Fortunately we had torches, but should that be necessary?

Location, helpful owner, breakfast very good.
Room quite small with one of the beds uncomfortable.
Having to sit crossways on bed to watch tv.
The room just felt to cramped for two people.
