The most amazing authentic old style Japanese house in the heart of Tokyo, the host Kohei and the sister are truly exceptional, kind and available.

2 min close to the main transportations (subway bus etc), bars and restaurants.
A place to go!

The Little House is a unique accommodation in Tokyo where you breath authentic air. This is why we chose it. Location is fantastic close to transportation and central to the city: a really pretty neighborhood that is lively but not loud. Last but not least, the hosts are the kindest ever and the cafe on the first floor is a gem.
While the house is really special, it was not the most comfortable for us three. It’s one big space with kitchen and bathroom a bit tight. It’s also a bit overpriced.

It's the second time I've stayed here and I will be staying again. I adore this little house, it's staff, location, coffee, history and comfort.
Nothing. I adore this place.

Perfect stay, in a sweet home! The space was more than enough for two of us. The location is not as busy as other areas but super accessible. The hosts are wonderful and honestly, one of the cutest spaces we’ve stayed in. Looking forward to staying there again!

Everything. It has the feeling of old Japan, everything in one open space. The owner helped us many times. Tokyo Little House is place like no other. Why to stay in luxury chain hotels when you can have this unique experience. Even though we were travelling with 3 kids we would choose this place again. Thank you!
Nothing. It was very well thought through with sophisticated details.

it’s one of the most unique and authentic place I have ever been and certainly one of a kind in Tokyo. The owner is extremely kind, with am amazing knowledge of Tokyo’s history which adds a lot to the experience. and location is amazing with 50 restaurants at a walking distance.
I was warned this could be noisy as it’s a “wooden house” but honestly this was not a problem for us even though we stayed there during the weekend.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff
Excellent coffee
Well equipped miniature kitchen-we made several dinners and breakfasts in. Economical and convenient for families with kids.
Not your standard issue hotel - history and ambience of an older Tokyo
Nice selection of the usual and unusual books about Tokyo
The shower is amazing!
Note that the stairs to the property are indeed quite steep as mentioned in the description. May not be ideal for mobility impaired guests.

We absolutely loved staying at the Tokyo Little House! It is small(ish) but perfectly equipped with real thought and attention to detail. Very comfortable (the double bed, especially, is super-comfy) with everything you need: simple but practical kitchen (rice cooker, microwave, hot plate, lovely dishes etc.), modern toilet and excellent shower. Also a washing machine which was a real bonus for this travelling family :-)
A great bonus is that the charming and friendly owners have their office and attractive cafe downstairs - great if you have any questions, issues or would simply like interaction with people familiar to the area (and a great cup of coffee).
Oh and the location is excellent - right in the middle of things, near 3 subway stations and within moments of numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets and convenience stores.
So 10/10 and highly recommended!
We liked everything about the Tokyo Little House!
The only slight caveat is that is can be quite noisy late in the evening when the restaurants and bars empty - make use of the ear plugs provided (there's also a white noise machine). Also the steep staircase up to the apartment is a nice original feature... but not for everyone - those with mobility issues beware.

This beautiful renovation of a traditional midcentury house combines vintage aesthetics and modern amenity. Those who appreciate design and craft will be impressed with the attention to detail and the tasteful preservation of antique elements within a simple, elegant updating. The hosts are lovely: personable and most helpful. The local neighborhood offers much to explore and many Tokyo attractions are within easy reach. The family run hotel with cafe and the small gallery below is truly a unique find.
No complaints whatsoever.
