Very nice location in the beautiful nature. It’s perfect for family holidays. We loved the atmosphere, the very good food and everyone who made our stay extremely special. There are nice little hiking opportunities close by and it’s not far from one of the entrances to the tayrona park. Thanks to Hanna, Octavio, David and the whole team who took care of us. 😊

Villa Yira is a beautiful, family owned place. Its managed in a very personalised / chill way and this creates a cosy atmosphere. We were really impressed by the cabins that they built. The location is ideal for trips to/from Tayrona national park. Amazing swimming pool & The owners were super flexible - thanks for having us, Hanna & Octavio!
The prices for the stay, food and beverages were quite high compared to Colombian prices: 65K for dinner without dessert (only 1 option every night), 20K for a glass of wine.
We enjoyed the vibrant athmosphere at villa Yira (it feels like you re part of the family), but for people who are looking for a quiet spot: note that owners’ (cute) kids and dogs are playing around in the shared space.

It was wonderful. Very familiar and with so much attention to detail.
The owners help with any request and are so incredibly caring.
Also, it is very worthwhile to eat there. The chef is top notch. Super food! We enjoyed the stay and can only recommend it.
Thank you very much!

Everything was great: lovely cabanas within a wild nature and super friendly staff (big up to JD and Ruben). The breakfasts are really nice (try their homemade bread) and the other meals as well :) You’ll need a 4x4 to reach the spot but from here you can go hiking in the mountain (multiple trails) or run next to the river. Def recommended!!!

incredible property to relax in Tayrona with family and friends. a very thoughtful space that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the nature at the same time. it was fun make new friends in the common spaces and also retreat to our private bungalow. the food was amazing and the staff truly special!!

The food (for the times where I did not get food poisoning) was good, although over-priced. Other guests were super nice
We had our most expensive dinner in Columbia here (50€ incl. drinks) and I got a horrible food poisoning that ruined two days of our vacation (the staff didn’t care or apologized). Other than this we were the only couple here in three days, the rest was all families with very loud children. The kids were sweet and the parents super nice but not having a single quiet minute by the pool or at dinner was simply not what we expected. The Wifi never worked and the staff clearly didn’t care when I complained about it. Further we had the most basic tiny hut with cold water, lots of bugs, no room cleaning service and some mould in the roof. Lastly, the transport in an old 4x4 for 20€ that covered our suitcases in dirt was not what we expected for such a premium price. Never again and definitely the worst hotel (yet most expensive with 400€ incl. food, drinks and transport) during our stay in Colombia!

Location is cute , staff is incredibly nice, food is great , massages are very professional.
The owners have little kids that play and scream around during breakfast and dinner.
There was no hot water but it’s bearable since it’s hot outside.
Cabanias are open so be aware that monkeys might come into yours… it happened to us!

fairly remote, across a river and up into the jungle a bit, this property had several beautiful thatched outdoor living cabins perched under the canopy. lying under mosquito meeting I fell asleep to the sounds of the forest. the host family were lovely people and seemed well suited to their chosen business, which was their own creation. they were friendly, helpful, informative and man did they have high standards when it comes to our meals! yum! the place is relatively small so we it lends itself to a family vibe even among strangers of different nationalities.
really no complaints at all. exceeded my expectations on all dimensions.

The owner was very kind upon arrival, they made us feel so welcome. view from the rooms is amazing. as well as their food! it’s really a back to nature experience but with all comfort you need. highly recommend!
Don’t try and hike up if you’re not in a good physical shape!

This place is exceptional! Once you get past the initial road there you are in for a treat - the hosts, the food, the facilities, the nature, the cabins, the warmth - all exceptional! This was heaven on earth for a couple of days.
The road in is a bit tricky but manageable.

Exceptional family like atmosphere created by the hosts. Our 4y old daughter really enjoyed every day. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent prepared meals by the chef.
There was nothing, what we did not like. But nevertheless we had to get used a bit to the true eco hotel setup being outside in nature at night an listening to the sounds. And of course don’t expect air conditioning or a hot shower.

beautiful relaxing property! great hosts, great food, great atmosphere and so welcoming
no hot water, no water at all for a brief period and it is a bit of a hassle to get to (but they warned us!)

The hosts were super nice and accommodating. The food was good. It was a lovely place.
There were several very important disclosures that were not made up front, or at least not in enough time to book another place. We did receive more details via Whatsapp the day we were supposed to arrive. There is a road that leads to a river that is only driveable by a 4x4. If there is water in the river, the only way to cross is by a suspension bridge that is missing wood planks. There is no light around this bridge. Once you cross the bridge, there is another mile or so of very rough and muddy roads. There is no way anyone could drive a rental car across this road. I have no idea where one would park a rental car, but there is additional charges for transporting guests and their luggage across the rough roads and bridge. Additionally, it was cash only and cold water showers only which we did not expect. All of this should have been disclosed prior to booking. We arrived very late due to flight problems, though we knew it would be after dark. We never would have booked this hotel knowing how difficult it was to get to. And this was the 2nd hotel we booked. The first one (Tayrona Paradise) disclosed immediately after booking (with a no cancellation policy) that the walk to the bridge if it rained was TWO MILES. And it rains a lot in November! Shady folks there as they wouldn't let me out of it even though I immediately explained we would get in after dark with full suitcases! So the lack of disclosures isn't an isolated incident. All of that said, it's a lovely place. It's a great place for backpackers. But for those with normal suitcases and wanting a few comforts like hot water and credit cards, less so.

I have no words! What a special place. Octavio and Hanna are incredible people and so is everyone who stays there. We had the best time hanging out, eating the delicious meals, learning about the community and exploring the area.
it’s perfect!

We loved our stay at Villa Yira, the team made us feel at home! We stayed here to explore Tayrona Park, it was 10mins bus ride from the nearest bus station, which is 15 mins walk to the hotel.
The hotel offers great facilities, we got to enjoy the open living room and swimming pool areas. As you are in middle of the jungle dinning at the hotel is the best option, food was great and super fresh!
We will definitely go back to Villa Yira!

Great little retreat. Very nice and quiet. Great morning / noon vibes by the pool:)
It was a bit tricky to get here with luggage on a motorcycle.. Even though the motorcyclists are super skilled:)

The space amongst the nature, and quite secluded from the main road. the tranquility. the food is amazing, they have a really good chef so dinners were just fantastic.
perhaps beds are not the par comfortable ones, plus they are smaller than usual. also the there is no hot water, I thought there would be warm water but showers were always cold. that’s probably the only downsize.

Villa Yira it's a truly beautiful space! The common areas as well as the room were extremely well designed. They were rooms in the middle of the nature without walls. From our room we were seeing only the dense jungle and hearing only the sound of birds. The outdoor bathroom was an amazing experience as well. The stuff was helpful and friendly. Last but not least the food (we had there our breakfast, lunch and dinner) was exceptional and I really recommend it.
To reach Villa Yira you have to walk for about half an hour a path through the jungle (it's a nice walk). That means that you are a bit cut off from the main area. If you don't want to walk you have to pay an expensive for the standards of Colombia mototaxi or jeep (regular cars can't follow this path). This is a disadvantage but an advantage as well, because as I explain above you don't hear the sound of the main road nor you see other hotels or construction. I really preferred it instead of being on the main road. The food is fantastic so you really don't have to leave for a restaurant. The truth is that given the price it would be expected that the breakfast would be included (in most other places it is included) but it wasn't. Last, the path from the common area to the room is paved with big round stones which will make it extremely difficult for people with mobility problems or when it rains. For us was fine!

Villa Yira is a magical place, where you're truly immersed in nature. The pool is fantastic, the people are wonderful and the food was soooo tasty!

The food was delicious, and very willingly accommodated a vegetarian diet. The room was incredibly comfortable. The land was beautiful. There is a pretty swimming hole you can walk to in about 6 minutes. The additional programs were fun (yoga class, salsa class, an amazing half-hour massage). The people who work there are so kind and welcoming. The location was perfect – we were able to walk through the woods and then down the road to the entrance to Tayrona Park in about 35 leisurely minutes.

The location is perfect in the middle of the jungle. The rooms with outdoor showers were amazing and we listened to the jungle sounds at night. We also had a great massage from Sophie, great food for breakfast and dinner and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for visiting the Tayrona park and you can also do smaller super nice hikes around the lodge to beautiful waterfalls.

Despite the fact that we arrived later than agreed, there was no problem with the pick-up from the parking lot where we left the car. We were greeted warmly by the hosts who together with the staff took great care to make our stay a wonderful one. It is definitely a place where you can get away from civilization, relax and still be comfortable. We wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately it was not possible, so I recommend it to everyone, add a few days to the original plan and you will not regret it. Thank you, Sophie.
