Close enough to town. Pretty views. The guy at breakfast is great
Needs some serious maintenance. Everything feels really run down. I know it would be impossible to completely seal this type of dwelling but I found bugs in the bed several times and there were birds living in the bamboo of the roof and twice they had pooped on the floor. Overall just pretty uncomfortable. Luckily we spent most of our time exploring outside of the hotel

De locatie, het uitzicht, hangmat.
De prijs kwaliteit was niet goed. Matrassen waren niet goed. Geen warm water. Ontbijt was erg weinig. Voelde alsof de ziel uit het verblijf is geraakt.

Epic view. You really wake up in nature. The breakfast has the most beautiful view I have ever seen. Overlooking the city of Santa Marta and the beautiful nature around Minca. Also the breakfast was nice to have. The hot shower overlooking the valley was insane.
Under the beds there were a couple planks. These planks could move, so the first night I had a bit of a whole in my mattrass. By moving the planks under the mattrass this was easily solved. But they could just nail the planks.

It was an amazing stay, the owners were really attentive. I bumped my head because I am very tall. I never asked for anything because it happens all the time but they gave me a bottle of wine to apologize. There is no noise at all it was just a pleasure
Nothing it was amazing

Very large room with plenty of space, the private terrace was definitely the highlight and provides a better view than any viewpoint in the village. Breakfast is basic but good. The staff is very professional and communicates well.
the room is located above the restaurant. Even though there is no dinner or lunch service, once the staff arrives in the morning (even if they are very quiet) its normal to hear noise from downstairs. Unfortunately, the main street is also very close and depending on the traffic the noise level increases.

Nice being amongst the trees and nature, if you like birds then it’s a good spot. Little critters such as lizards come into your room which might not be for everyone though. Comfy bed and pillows.
Loud as there is a road above and below the property. No areas to hang out and be social so not a good property if you are solo travelling and wanting to meet people.

The cabanas for beautifully placed on the hillside
The bathrooms could have been better, and there were small holes for critters and bugs to enter

The huts are in beautiful locations with wonderful views. A truly stunning location.
Nothing.

Lovely setting in nature. Rooms nicely decorated with colorful details. Friendly staff.
There was only one table fan which only cooled one side of the room.

The ecohabs are close to the town. The views from the path along the property were amazing. Good spots to see sunset. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast delicious and the staff very friendly
Up the road from the hotel, there's a bar that blasted music until 4am on Saturday. We only got a couple of hours of sleep. Not ideal since we had a bird tour at 6. Next time I would avoid the weekend.

The best location in Minca; incredible views and quiet but still within walking distance of the town. The room was spacious and the mosquito net was excellent. The fridge was a huge bonus as was the kettle. The breakfast was also really good.
The WiFi was patchy and we were close to reception. Other bungalows would not have any. Lots of gaps everywhere in the hut means you will have a huge variety of insects and lizards coming into your room...but that's part of the experience so something to consider for this type of accommodation.

I almost didn't book this place because of other reviews about noise, however, we gave it a chance and we were so glad we did! If one has ever slept in a city and heard passing of cars and people/dogs in the distance, this is no different. The noise in our opinion was very limited and natural for the area and if it was ever too loud, there was a fan in the room which we would turn on and the white noise cancelled everything else out. The loudest bit was the chipping of birds in the morning. Also this hotel has a amazing view both by day and night, a lovely hot shower and the bed was really comfortable! Breakfast was different each morning and we really enjoyed it.
It's not fancy- it's basic accommodation surrounded by nature, done up to look pretty. Now, we quite enjoyed this, but it might not be for everyone. The rooms also seemed a tad expensive for what they are, but we asked really nicely and at checkin they were able to give us a upgrade. Could have done with someone coming and sweeping during the stay / providing a broom for us to sweep, as there was a lot of bugs on the floor within the first 24 hours of the stay.

This was our second stay at Minca Ecohubs. The cabanas are super nice, clean and spacious, with mosquito netting, fridges and large balconies, in the middle of the woods. For breakfast there are 5 different options, coffee & juice refills are offered. Reception staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
The property is located right above the main road leading into town (even though the road cannot be seen from the cabanas). It can be noisy at times, esp. when larger vehicles pass by. Bring earplugs.

Location was very close to Minca town
The hotel is right above the main highway to Minca. The traffic noise from the highway is heard from the room, which was disturbing.
The noise can be from the room above, including footsteps and talking.

Everything! The location is amazing!! My room was beautiful and had an stunning view. I fell asleep with jungle sound and woke up with jungle sound. Loved it. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was also very good. The restaurant also has an amazing view. Little paradise in Minca.
Nothing. all you need to know is, that you must have good health conditions, because the way to the roomas and to the restaurant is kind of a "small hike". ;)

Staff was pretty nice! They'll help you with recommendations and always have coffee ready for you. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were tidy.
Sometimes, the reception would be empty. The room fans aren't much powerful and sometimes the energy goes slightly down in the middle of the night.

[Birder review] We were lucky that the "colibrí" room had in front of it a tree full of ripe berries, so over 2 mornings, we were able to observe from the balcony at 6am while wearing pajamas, at a 4 to 8 meters distance: Keel-billed Toucan, Black-chested Jay, Swallow Tanager, Crimson-backed Tanager, Summer Tanager, Scarlet Tanager, Crested Oropendola, Crimson-crested Woodpecker, Black-crowned Tityra, Masked Tityra, Red-crowned Woodpecker, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Prothonotary Warbler, Thick-billed Euphonia, Dusky capped flycatcher, Baltimore Oriole, Orange-crowned Oriole, Chestnut-capped Warbler, Squirrel Cuckoo, Streaked Saltator, Red-legged Honeycreeper, Tropical Parula, Tennessee Warbler, and Scaled Pigeon. Overall I'd say this is the right place for a birder to stay at Minca. The rooms are surrounded by native forest, lots of birds, and still the place is close enough to town to still be convenient. For the hard endemics, seek day tours to "El Campano/Los Pinos" and "Cerro Kennedy".
[Birder review] I was falling asleep on the balcony hammok, tired after a birding outing, a and a lifer woke me up with a loud song, perhaps to make sure I wouldn't miss it.

I loved the hammocks and the serenity. it’s located a few min from town and feels like a different planet. They “huts” were spacious and well designed.
They should definitely have a water cooler where you can refill your water bottle. It is definitely not a property for anyone with mobility issues.

the balcony was nice, but trees hid the view.
Parking was distant and not secure. The road to to get to the hotel was very rough. The fridge did not work. Water pressure was not good.

The bungalows are nicely situated in the forest. The luxe rooms are nice and spacious. The staff were friendly and the food and the service at the restaurant were good!
It's nowhere mentioned that the bungalows are built above the access road to Minca. Hence, there's a lot of noise from traffic coming and going to the village. We had booked 2 bungalows for 4 people, and none of us had a good rest during our 3 nights stay. Apart from the constant traffic, this was also due to the noise from one of the bars near the hotel that played music almost every night. All night long.
If you book the standard double room, be mindful that the double bed is smaller than the usual standard double bed size.
If you want more value for your money, you should book the luxe room which is spacious and has a comfy large king-size bed and a hot water shower.

good location near the town, feeling live in nature.
One piece of the bed is missing, so I have to find various positions to keep myself comfortable

This place is truly amazing!! The huts/ rooms, the views, the paths, viewpoints/lookouts, food, team and overall energy are impeccable! You sleep amongst trees and can watch and listen to all kinds of birds species from your own hammock. Also, it is in walking distance to Minca's center, which is a big plus in comparison to many other comparable hotels/hostels.
I want to particularly highlight how great the staff was (Sr. Jorge & Elisabeth in the kitchen), but especially Adriana and Bryam from the reception. They were extremely accommodating and lovely, helped me organise fantastic tours and unique experiences and truly had the best recommendations on how to spend the best time in Minca. Muchas gracias!!! <3 <3
