We had an amazing time exploring Portland! Our hosts were amazing and attentive. They greeted us at check in with fresh flowers and suggestions on places to visit! The house was clean and located perfectly where we could walk around the city. The neighborhood was quiet. We felt safe walking at night. We had a short stay in Portland but we packed in as much as we could. Breakfast at Bayside American Cafe is a MUST! The best Eggs Benedict and Bloody Mary I’ve ever had! We stopped in at Taco Escobarr for happy hour and it was a blast! The strawberry jalapeño infused margarita was 👌 again, the best I’ve had! Then had dinner at High Roller. All fantastic!

The roomy 1-bedroom apartment in a great location met all of our needs. Sue greeted us upon arrival and provided lots of information about Portland that helped us structure our trip and make optimal use of our 2.5 days there. The apartment was very clean and had all the “extras” that made it feel like home. Parking was convenient (we had our own space across the street) and although having a car was great for out of town trips, the neighborhood was walkable and conveniently located to a variety of activities. We would definitely stay here again if we get a chance to travel to Portland in the future.

Their rental is perfectly located in a great area that is highly walkable to almost everything you'd want to reach during a vacation. The rental was spacious and had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. And you should absolutely listen to Sue's recommendations on things to do because we enjoyed every restaurant and activity suggestion she shared.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful 3 nights in this amazing Portland apartment. It had tons of charm alongside everything youd need for a comfortable stay - coffee, teas, even little snacks! It’s in a perfect location to walk all of Portland by foot. We only had to call a car to go to farther away places like Allagash Brewing. Be sure to pet the kitty next door - Mama - when you stay!

It was great being able to walk all over downtown, the Old Port, etc. And being a short drive from Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Sue was a wonderful host. She met us when we arrived with a map of Portland and gave us great tips. Very much appreciated her taking the time to do that - it’s rare that we get that kind of personal attention with vacation rentals.

My husband and I just returned from a three day stay in Portland at this VRBO and loved every minute of being there. Barry & Sue are lovely people who reside on the second floor while we had the first floor apartment. They gave us all the info we needed; we went to the Portland Museum of Art one day followed by a great dinner at The Little Tap Room; the next day, we toured the Victoria Mansion which requires advance reservations; Don't Miss It! Some people were turned away without reservations.
The apartment was meticulously clean, and had all the kitchen gadgets one would need if they chose to prepare meals in. The living room was comfy, and the bed and pillows were as well. We had a designated parking place about 100 feet from the apt. We were able to walk to the museum AND the Victoria Mansion without any difficulty.
Our three days in Portland were delightful and just an FYI: you will need to make reservations at restaurants well in advance of coming to Portland. Many were booked solid in August.

Wonderful place to stay, we couldn’t expect anything better. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown Portland, the apt. is very tastefully decorated, plenty of room for the two of us, and very quiet for restful night’s sleep. We made good use of the kitchen for various meals. The hosts were very attentive if we were to need anything, but we lacked for nothing.
We plan to return again next year and stay in the same place!

We will be telling all our friends and relatives about this gem. We are going to go back soon and spend a weekend enjoying all that Portland has to offer.
Thanks again to Sue & Barry for making this such a memorable time.

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for a week- used it as a base camp to explore Portland and the surrounding towns. It was super- comfortable and in great shape. Bed and accompanying linens were top notch! Sue and Barry greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were familiar with everything in the apartment as well as the surrounding area. We’d definitely stay there again!

This apartment was a very comfortable base for a stay in Portland. It was very clean and a great size for the two of us. We greatly appreciated the two large walk-in style robes that accommodated our large suitcases. The kitchen was well set up for those who might want to cook. I’d highly recommend this apartment to anyone considering a visit to Portland.

Had a fantastic honeymoon stay with Sue and Barry! They have a beautiful and relaxing apartment with the most comfy blankets and lovely amenities. We loved being immersed in the energy of the city while having a little bit of quiet too! Everything was clean and instructions for handling trash/check out were super straight forward. We were warmly greeted by them when we checked in and they gave us the best recommendations for food and music around the city. We almost got to see them all in a short stay. Sue was also very quick with texting and awesome communication. Definitely plan to visit again to explore Portland more and hopefully, we will be able to stay with Sue and Barry when we do!

My stay at Sue and Barry's apartment was absolutely wonderful. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, extremely clean and well-appointed. I could not have been happier. The location is perfect for exploring Portland, a quiet street and just a 20 minute walk to the waterfront and ferry. Sue and Barry were lovely hosts and have thought of everything to make their guests' comfortable. There was even a quart of half and half in the fridge on my arrival- such a thoughtful touch. I will definitely return for another visit; I cannot imagine a nicer place to stay.

This rental is an absolute gem. Not only is the owner of the property the most thoughtful person but the apartment is beautiful with very large closets and a modern aesthetic. We enjoyed walking to anywhere we possibly wanted to in Portland. Sue made our wedding weekend special with chocolate truffles, fresh flowers, champagne and blueberry jam. She gave us a tour of the apartment and wanted to help us with any recommendations we might need for dinner etc. I highly recommend this rental
for your stay in Portland you will not be disappointed :)
