Lisa's place was so lovely in a wonderful neighborhood with walking access to anything you could need: bakeries, restaurants, beach, bike paths, etc. We loved relaxing on the back porch surrounded by flowers and taking advantage of the outdoor shower. It's a quick ride into Portland but we were so pleasantly surprised by how much we loved South Portland too.

We had a great stay at Lisa's beach cottage. Quiet neighborhood - home is located a short walk from Willard Beach (and from Willard Scoops ice cream!). Its really a convenient location to most everything. Lisa was very welcoming and her home was well furnished for our stay. Enjoyed sleeping with the windows open and experiencing a cool breeze throughout the night. Would enjoy staying here again!

Home was much brighter and updates than we realized from the photos! Owner helped us feel so welcome and “at home,” offering great tips for things to do throughout our stay! Highly recommend.

The rental was absolutely perfect for the type of vacation we planned. Close to a beach, lighthouses, and other parks that were dog friendly. Was very enjoyable to pick up a few meals and bring them back to the house to enjoy. The rest of the meals we cooked on our own in the well supplied kitchen. We had a very nice time.

This perfect little house was exactly what I hoped it would be for a relaxing retreat while visiting family. The neighborhood felt safe and comfortable with a short enjoyable walk to the beach and bakery. The host is absolutely amazing, warm, welcoming, attentive and respectful of privacy. The house itself was so comfortable for my girls and I. It has everything you would ever need to feel right at home. The back deck was a lovely place to relax in the evening while my children slept. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. I will stay here again! I would even brave the cold to visit in the winter (that's how warm and welcoming my experience was)! Thank you Lisa!

Really clean, adorable cottage on a quiet, dog-friendly street. Short walk to Willard Beach, close to good restaurants and unique general stores. Easy walk to Fort Williams Park. Short drive to Portland (15 minutes).

We totally ❤️‘d our stay at Lisa’s.
She knows how to live well and we we’re right in rhythm with her at her comfortable, clean and sweet home in the Willlard Beach neighborhood.

Perfect location
What a great spot to stay. We could walk to get food, ice cream, baked goods and be at the beach. If you have a little wagon that’s all you need to transport your beach goodies. This location was perfect for our growing family. The street was very quiet and the neighbors were as nice as our host. Lisa was as good as they get. We felt like family. We hope to be back next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s rental - it was very clean, very comfortable, and very convenient.
Lisa’s home is in a nice small and quiet neighborhood very close to Willard Beach and with nice options for good things to eat in walking distance. Lisa was very welcoming and communicated quickly and easily. We would gladly come back to this location.

We loved it!
My two kids and husband I stayed here before my sister’s wedding. It had everything we needed. The low beds worked really well for my toddler. We enjoyed walking to Willard Beach, Willard Scoops, Ellsmere BBQ. This location is convenient to everything.

Great place to stay.
Great place in a great location. Very comfortable. Enjoyed walking with our dog to Scratch Bakery then on to Willard Beach where dogs are able to play off leash. Very dog friendly. Terra Cotta is an easy walk and well worth a visit for some lovely pasta dishes etc to take home. Easy drive into Portland where there’s plenty of shopping and dining options. Beautiful coastal scenery. Lisa is very friendly and helpful. We would stay at the property again.

Great weekend trip to the beach
We had a great time and loved the location of this house. Lisa left everything clean and ready for our arrival... even fresh cut flowers on the tables. It was perfect for us and our Goldens. We even got to meet Lisa and chat about local places to visit. We loved the location. We could walk to the beach in the morning with the dogs and made several stops at the local bakery...yum yum! All the neighbors were really friendly and we met some other cute pups too! Thanks for letting us bring the dogs and opening your home up to us!

Perfect Summer Weekend
Lisa was such a great host! We arrived to flowers in every room and a detailed note explaining the neighborhood and where everything was. During an usual heat wave, she took her Saturday to buy us an AC unit and install it which made the house even nicer to spend time in. Everything was in great shape and the house was the perfect spot to go back and relax after exploring Maine. I would recommend this house to families or friends coming to the area!

Nice location in Portland area
Property is located on a dead end street and was not very kept up on the outside and yard was not mowed. However, that being said the owner was very nice and inside the place was very clean. When we arrived a nice bottle of wine was there as well as a book describing everything about the property and area. There was no microwave or television in the place which is more something to note and not necessarily a detractor. Loved how close it was to seeing lighthouses and grabbing an ice cream from Red’s or some snacks at the nearby bakery. The bathroom was small but clean. There seemed to be some water damage in the floor as you stepped by the toilet. Also, the shower has a clear shower curtain covering the window to the outside which wasn’t very private and with broad shoulders, I didn’t much care for my shoulders always touching the two shower curtains. I think it is also important to note that the owner lives in a small home right behind the home at the end of the short driveway. This was fine for us but again just something g to note. I think all in all it was a good place and met our needs. If you are looking for a clean place in the Portland area at a good price and owned by a very nice person but with no frills then this is a great find. We ran around the area a lot and therefore didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the place aside from evenings and sleeping. I think there could be some things done to make this place an even better stay experience.

It was amazing! Lisa is wonderful and very hospitable. Perfect location. Home is great!
This house is a perfect little sanctuary to get away from it all. House is fully stocked with everything you need. Walking distance to the best coffee and beach. Just a quick ride into Portland if you want to be there in the city.

Charming and a great location
Lisa greeted us when we arrived, and a bottle of wine waited in the refrigerator. The house was bright, with an outdoor shower (as well as an indoor one!) and nice cross ventilation. It's a beautiful and safe neighborhood, and we were able to bike or walk to the beach, ice cream, bakery, creperie and fine dining. Downtown Portland was a short drive away.
Portland is the #1 brewery town in the country, and Uber rides are readily available if you tour too many of them. This is an undiscovered perfect vacation spot, and this house sits nicely in the middle of it. We'll be back.
No TV or microwave, and it was fun to wean ourselves from the tube for a week--although there's free WiFi if you need to watch stuff via the internet.

Beautiful place to fall in love with Maine
We absolutely adored this quaint cottage. The owner greeted us upon our arrival and was very willing to help with any questions we may have about the area. The home was very neat and tidy and had all of the necessary essentials. This house was our 3rd stop on an extended journey up the East Coast, so we appreciated that there was a washer and dryer to do a little mid-trip washing. There was even laundry detergent - how thoughtful! The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. We slept with the windows open and the cool Maine breeze lulled us to sleep. In the mornings we took a short walk to the most charming bakery (Scratch Bakery) and grabbed bagels and coffee on our way to the dog friendly beach. Just be warned the bagels sell out by 8:30 (they're that good!)
We are still dreaming about Maine and this wonderful home. We would love to stay here again in the future!
