We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, well equipped cottage. The property is set back from the road, so safe for our dogs. Everything was as it should be.

We loved our stay at Donna's warm, peacefully decorated, scenic home. Early mornings and evenings on the deck overlooking the water were a favorite time for meals spent watching the tide moving in and out, viewing various birds, and enjoying the sunlight on the rustling trees. Donna was fully stocked with paper and kitchen supplies. This home was the perfect base for exploring the Rockland and Camden areas or remaining in Owl's Head.

This house is perfect! It feels more like someone's beautifully furnished home than it does a vacation rental. Donna has thought of everything to make her home comfortable, welcoming, and easy for visitors. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

The house is exactly as pictured and described. Its well stocked and very clean. The location is very private and super quiet. Three large comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths gave everyone their space. The yard is well maintained and the view is phenomenal, especially at high tides. Communication with the owner was great, very responsive and easy to reach.
We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.

We have been renting Donna's cottage regularly for several years now. It is a wonderful, special place. Donna does an amazing job keeping it fresh and welcoming. We had friends from home stop by this year (who happen to have their own lovely cottage on the Pemaquid Peninsula), and they raved about the setting, the decor, and the charm of the cottage. We will be back next year!

The house was immaculate and very well equipped. We packed way more than we needed. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great. The Wi-Fi was more than adequate for our needs. Very close to great shops and restaurants in Rockland, Camden, etc. Walmart only 3 miles away. We had a great stay, and would go back in a heartbeat.

We loved staying in this secluded and spacious cottage. I could have watched the tide and sea birds forever. An easy 10 min drive to Rockland where there is plenty to do, the house were perfect for cooking, reading, relaxing. We had days of rain and fog - so especially appreciated the interior spaces. Donna is a wonderful and helpful host and has decorated the house beautifully. We hope to return!

Donna's cottage is delightful and stylish. It's spacious in it's living areas and the comfortable bedrooms are roomy and well-appointed. Lots of nice touches, and a well-equipped kitchen. Then there's the beautiful view of the water and surrounding landscape. It's an easy beautiful walk to the beach at a nearby state park. The coastal area around Rockland has so much to offer. We enjoyed sailing, hiking, museums and good food!

Kick off retirement
My husband and I along with our dog Max drove to Maine with expectations of beauty, relaxation, comfort and feelings of being at home to celebrate my retirement. We were not disappointed!! The house is better than advertised, the pictures cannot capture the warmth felt when entering because of the attention to detail Donna put into preparing this home for guests. The furniture is so comfortable, the beds engulf you, the kitchen is a chef’s dream…. I can go on and on! The windows and light bring the outdoors in, the evening sunsets were right there in front of us, the neighborhood is quiet. Every thought we had of what it might be like was far exceeded! Thank you Donna for sharing this slice of paradise.

Not a House, a Home
From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The owner has thought of everything to make sure you have to think of nothing, and does it with style and panache. No mis-matched afterthought towels and china because it's "just a rental". Our family of 6 adults found plenty to do outside of the house, but when we were enjoying the house we found that it was perfectly situated for break out space. Just enough open concept without sacrificing quiet space away from everyone. The extensive windows throughout the house connected us with the amazing surroundings from sunup to sundown. I understand now why she has so many repeat guests, and I suspect I'll be one of them.

Serene & comfortable
My extended family had a wonderful stay here. The cottage is on a beautiful cove for swimming at high tide. The water temperature is warm there but a bit shallow. The beach at Birch Point State Park is a short walk or drive (Just up the road to the left). The water was not too cold there for swimming either. Things to see and do abound. Markets and restaurants are all about 20 - 30 min. scenic drives.
When the host says they supply soap, shampoo and other necessities it is completely true. There are hair dryers in both bathrooms. You don't want for paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, coffee filters, sandwich bags, trash supplies, dish soap, laundry detergent, spices ( a complete drawer full) and cooking utensils. There was a s'mores kit with everything needed & skewers fir the fire pit also! There were also basic first aid supplies and a bit of sun lotion. I have never stayed at a Vrbo listing that supplied so many items.
Kitchen wise be aware the only appliance missing was a microwave. We just heated leftovers on the stove or in aluminum on the grill or in the oven. We cooked popcorn on the stove in a pan.
If you plan to use the fire pit, you will need to grab some fire wood.
We ordered our groceries for pick up from Hannaford's supermarket in Rockland ahead of time online which worked out extremely well. Groceries were ready for pickup just after 3PM for 4PM check in/arrival time.
We enjoyed exploring Port Clyde, the many light houses, beaches, and took a day trip to Islesboro on the ferry. The daily puffin cruise in Port Clyde is fun for the entire family.
The ocean air and comfy beds had everyone sleeping well. All were commenting on this. We had all age ranges with us and everyone loved it. There is enough room to spread out and also great spaces to gather together when you want to.
If you are into photography or art there is plenty of inspiration. My daughter and I enjoyed painting canvases and sketching the birch trees and cove.
It is quiet and private and all the details are well thought out.
Donna was a great host and checked in to see if we had any concerns or questions.

Not even sure what number stay this was for us as Birch Point Cottage (6th?, 7th?) but it’s always a highlight of summer for our family and never disappoints. The house is comfortable, clean, and cozy and right in the middle of all the places we love in Maine. Thanks again for your hospitality, Donna!

Serenity in Maine
We were supposed to visit last summer, but with COVID, chose not to travel. It was absolutely worth the wait! This home is in a private setting beside the water and is clean, beautifully decorated and has everything you need (only missing a microwave-- but no big deal). Donna's area guide was so helpful as we explored as much as possible in the week we were there. Fun day trips are possible from this location, but also relaxing at the house or nearby beach makes this a perfect location for vacation. I hope we're able to visit again very soon. We miss Maine already! Donna was an exceptional hostess and this is probably the best VRBO we've ever stayed in.

Lovely home in a beautiful location in Owls Head near Rockland
Really enjoyed our time at Birch Point Cottage. Everything was just right. Simple, elegant, functional. Appreciated all of the little details throughout the house including a well stocked kitchen and lots of great things to peruse about the area. The binoculars were appreciated too. Would def return. Donna is a fantastic host. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Donna’s home was a terrific getaway for us to enjoy all that midcoast Maine has to offer. The house itself was incredibly clean and comfortable with great outdoor space. And the location was perfect to enjoy everything from a day at the beach to shopping in Camden and an excursion to Monhegan Island. We had a great visit!!

OFF THE CHARTS!
This is a well loved home...as is evident before you even open the front door! It is well stocked for every need and you can tell that much care and thought went into this. Everything is of high quality and in very fine condition. It is the BEST VRBO experience I have ever had, both stateside and abroad. What more is there to say?

Perfect Autumn Getaway
This our third stay at Donna's lovely home. After our visit in August, we made plans to return in late September. So glad we did! It was a perfect place to unwind during these troubled times in a beautiful, peaceful location. Thank you, again, Donna! Hope to see you next summer!

Tranquil
An all inclusive experience. Everything you need is here. Wonderful setting on the cove to sit at the fire pit or on the deck and eat or just relax. We loved kayaking each day. My only constructive comment is the access to the internet is poor.
