Very local and a pleasant place to stay.

Good price and quiet spot. Great for a night while travelling north, friendly staff.

Great price and I was able to charge my car while there. Basic rooms but comfy. Friendly staff.

The bathroom had been redone which was lovely, however the roof in there really needed a sand and a paint too to finish it off, just seemed half done.

Ok, but not that cheap.

Heatpump was good. Bed was comfortable.

A bit dated. Bathroom needed work, the vertical tiles at the bottom of the walls were missing. Shower had that black mold in the crevices.

Low price but poor hotel.

Pretty terrifying location - seemed like it was abandoned. Weird disused workshop in the middle.

Location felt unsafe. Buildings were like sheds. Pretty gross “spa” in a lean-to connected to the rooms.

This property is not as it looks on Booking.com and I would recommend people not to stay here, EVER!

Location was good and its quiet

The way that this is presented on Booking.com is nothing like reality. Very run down and large investment required. Rooms smelt 'mouldy', and we didn't even feel comfortable to shower. My wife didn't feel safe and would never stay there alone. The driveway had huge divots and potholes. There is no reception area or staff on-site, you have to text or call them. The pool was not swimmable (green and full of algae) and we only booked the room for the pool for the granddaughter.

Run down. Dirty units. Musty smell. Dirty Dirty Dirty. 4 windows but only one could still open. Bed mattresses had stains. 2 coat hangers but 1 broken. Mold in the shower. Weeds outside everywhere. Grass not mown. Potholes in the driveway. Just not maintained at all.

Taupo 80th celebration

The areas were big and would recommend for family reunion events. Very spacious and heaps of parking. Nice and safe. There is no need for any unwanted visitors.

I enjoyed my stay - will come again!

Bed was very comfortable. Nice white professionally laundered linen. Location was fantastic - close to Spa Park and the walk to Huka falls. Lovely sitting outside in the morning sun. Beautiful location in a canyon. Peaceful and quiet away from the road. Quite secluded but not far to Taupo town. Outstanding value for money.

The premises were very tired and needing renovation - but if you look past that the basics were very good.

The setting was very beautifull Looked like that at some stage it was a lovely place. Needs a clean around the garden, weeding, paint in the verandah. Some curtain need hooks.

Not my favourite stay

When we first arrived the man at the front was really kind and explained things well. Kids were excited to be in a chalet with an “upstairs”. Netflix and WIFI were amazing because it was very very wet when we arrived. Spa bath was a nice bonus for the kids. Bathroom has had somewhat of a recent upgrade so that was decent, kitchen was good and nice to have a table and couch too. Was close to the AC baths which was great for us.

Being in the middle chalet was an absolute nightmare for us. You can hear the neighbours snoring, using their spa bath, going up and down their creaking stairs all night long. There is no “rule” or expectation around guests being quiet at a reasonable time and so we were kept up until after midnight by other guests which was disappointing and frustrating. Parking was slightly confusing but we were glad to have a park close to our room.

Clean, tidy accommodation at a very reasonable price.

Perfect place to stay en-route to our final destination. Had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom very nice. Quiet location out of town, just a short drive to restaurants etc.

Property is very tired (and is on the market). Could hear neighbouring tv through the wall through the night. Spa bath did not operate properly.

Worth the stay if you look past the faded outside

When you arrive it looks old and rundown - it is! However, don't let this ut you off, the rooms are clean and tidy inside and appear to have been refurbished in the past 1-2 years. Plentiful parking and an easy hie from the hotel to the hot pools and the river.

Outside has certainly seen better days, looked like an abandoned cowboy movie lot.

Lovely place, unfortunately needs alot of TLC ♡

Been here a few times over the years whilst Prince has been the owner, spacious, hot tubs a hit, short walk to the river, beds comfy, good wifi, smar tv, comfortable for our forever growing family :)

Over the years, I've noticed, mantainance inside and outside has dropped standards, it's such a pity, because this place is an awesome spot and has alot of potential :( Will be sad to see Prince go, as I noticed it is up for sale...

Terrible would not recommend to anyone

The nice bath towels and sheets made from the best cotton in the world from Pakistan

The rooms are worn out but are clean except the shower needed a good dose of bleach, but a good shower rose,is no where to hang clothes, there is no contact with any body at the resort, it is infact not a resort at all it has a big sign with nothing behind it

Was ok but place appears very neglected.

Grandchildren enjoyed pool, but could do with a clean. Also no seating for you to sit when supervising them.

Our chalet had no lock on bathroom door. Sliding door was not opening as it should. Over all clean needed as it had stains on woodwork and cobwebs.

Not terrible but not great.

Comfy bed, nice modern bathroom and shower, spa tub provided although didn't try it. Located ~10 min walk from natural hot pools.

Room felt half-renovated, some aspects nice and new while the paint was old and stained. Property as a whole looked run down with lots of potholes in the drive way.

Friendly staff and close to town and hot springs. Beds were clean. Shower hot and good water pressure.

Needs doing up. Scuffed walls very much need paint. Shower knob above my head so wouldn’t be good for short people. Shower cubicle needs paint.

Great place to stay

Friendly staff, room was clean. Everything was pretty good in the chalets where I stayed.

Maybe make the areas outside chalets a little more user friendly. Table or chairs outside each room?

Great location close to town centre and activities. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Its great if you have a pet as they allow dogs.

Accommodation exterior looks old and inside the room had a old smell to it like an op shop. Rooms are not sound proof you can hear people in the next room and stairs were squeaky.

If you're looking for absolutely no frills accommodation, this place ticks all the boxes

●reasonable location ●comfortable bed ●tidy bathroom

●terrible driveway into complex.full of big potholes ●noise of other tenants go straight through the walls between rooms. Could easily hear them talking ●no maintenance carrier out on rooms. Curtains falling off rails, lights not working, very poor quality interior decorating within units ●overall appearance of entire complex looks very shabby & looks like no one maintains absolutely any portion of it.
