About this cabin rental
Have you ever sought perfect balance? Close enough, but not far away... Rustic, yet modern... Cozy, but still spacious... A bit of peace in the mountains, but with the perfect proximity to town? The Elk Antler Inn is a new, fully-renovated cabin in Benezette that offers guests the feel of a rustic retreat along with the ease of close proximity to some of the town's best attractions.
Situated along highway 555, just on the outskirts of downtown, The Elk Antler Inn welcomes elk-watchers, families, happy (or unhappy) couples, hunters, fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts, wine connoisseurs, moonshine lovers, collectors of antiques, or anyone interested in what our beautiful area has to offer.
The cabin has two wildlife-themed bedrooms, the "Bear Cave" and the "Deer Trail," each with a queen bed; there is also a sleeper sofa available in the living area for extra guests. For our culinarily-inclined guests we have installed a brand new, modern kitchen equipped with (hopefully) everything one would need! There is a full refrigerator and freezer, gas range, oven, and microwave and for the outdoor cook, a propane grill. All utensils, pots, pans, plates, serving dishes, slow cookers, blenders are provided so that all you need to bring is food and drink. The seating in the living room includes new Ashley Furniture, including a (sleeper) sofa, love-seat, and recliner; the centerpiece of the space is the beautiful propane fireplace, surrounded in cherry, which will not only contribute to the ambiance, but will also keep everyone warm and toasty (who would have thought building a fire would be this easy???). For those rainy days, Dish Network is available on the flat-screen television, which sits on top of a custom piece of furniture made from locally-sourced hickory and horse shoes. There is also WiFi available for those of us who need to be connected! The bathroom features a shower with a waterfall, spa-type shower head, a modern sink, and commode, with a beautiful cherry accent wall.
The front porch is cozy and has seating for two while providing a view of the mountains, as well as a front-row seat to watch the activity at the Nuthatch Studio across the street, where local artists craft various pieces of art, including one-of-a-kind carvings from logs using various sized chainsaws. The more spacious back porch overlooks a fire pit area where guests can use the custom-built cooking surround to grill their favorite foods over the open fire or just relax and toast a marshmallow. Beyond the fire pit area is several acres of wooded land where the elk herd like to travel and the woodland birds flock, there is a swing fixed to the back deck that allows guests to sit back and watch our majestic wildlife move through their natural habitat.
If you only can spend so much idle time watching wildlife, The Elk Antler Inn is also close (really close, in fact!) to local attractions. Moonshine? You can walk there. Cafes and restaurants? Less than one mile. The local winery? Less than one mile. The stunning Elk Country Visitor's Center? Well... 2 miles. There are PLENTY of other gift shops, antique shops, wineries, and restaurants within reasonable driving distance... just ask us for recommendations!
If outdoor adventures are your thing, The Elk Antler Inn is close to hiking trails, equestrian trails, snowmobile trails, fishing spots, state game lands, kayak/canoe waters, scenic overlooks, and just plain gorgeous scenery. We have spent years hiking, fishing, and hunting the area and are more than willing to highlight maps, give directions, communicate experiences, and share the best of what we have been so blessed to experience here!
We hope that we have created a space where people are eager to come and spend some time away from their routines. To bask in the glory of nature, to feel small next to the mountains, to feel a quickening of the pulse near wildlife, and a sense of peace hearing the rush of water.
We sincerely hope that you will spend some time with us, just to spend your time being in our woods, experiencing our animals, and loving every second.

Pleasant and comfortable, clean. Everything was as described with nothing negative that I can think of. Saw a heard of Elk walk along side the cabin which was fun.

Close to elk visitor center and all the areas to view elk

Great location, place was clean. Had everything that we needed. Out back grass could have been cut but not a big deal. Would rent again 😊

Property was very easy to find, nicely furnished, and quite comfortable. The only problem we had was that we couldn’t access the WiFi- we tried several times but we couldn’t get it and even though we are old, we are relatively computer literate. Just wondering what happened to all the beautiful trees in the back of the property. We would stay there again..

I was participating in a local 5K, in one of my fav. PA places.
We loved our stay, the location was perfect to the welcome center (location of race) and drive for Elk viewing.
The cabin was super clean and cozy!
The hosts are WONDERFUL! They are very responsive to all of our needs, and super accommodating.

This was our first time spending more than a few hours in Benezette. We stayed from Sunday to Tuesday and the weather was unseasonably warm for November. The cabin was so clean inside. We loved all of it! We couldn't light the pilot on the gas fireplace, but we didn't try for too long as the living area was so cozy we didn't need it for ambience. The couches were comfy and the bed in the Bear's Den was dreamy. We didn't see any elk at the cabin but our visit was after their peak season. We did see a herd of 27 at the elk viewing center though. The cabin is on Rte 555 but there was hardly any traffic and we never heard anything outside. The kitchen had everything we needed even though we didn't cook a whole lot. Plenty of space though if you would want to prepare a feast!
I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for some relaxing, time away. Cell coverage is sketchy, but that was one of the main reasons we came up here, to unplug from everything!
We would stay here again.

Very clean and cozy- nice back yard, grill and firepit. Very nice for 2 couples! We recommend installing a fan in the bathroom and a blind in the bear bedroom. We loved our stay! Thanks!

This cabin was conveniently located and provided the necessity needed in a cabin. We had a great trip and saw a Big Bull Elk across the street from the cabin.

The actual property looks nothing like the listing. The fireplace in the living room did not work. The oven did not work. Several of the window blinds are severely damaged & just barely hanging on the windows. We found a live roach hiding in the paper towel roll in the kitchen. Would be nice if there were directions on how to operate the television. There are 2 different remotes & very confusing. I think the rate to rent this property is too high.

The cabin was clean, very comfortable and very relaxing.. We enjoyed our 2 days in Benezette. We had one problem in that the cabin was still being cleaned when we arrived at 3:56 which was early but it was after 4:10 before we got in the cabin

#1: The unit is conveniently located, however, it is less than 50 ft from the highway, which is pretty noisy.
#2: The unit appears run-down. Needs new paint, of the windows that have venetian blinds, NONE are functional. The front door has no covering over its large window, and the window in one bedroom has a sheer curtain, but no shade.
#3: The general information fails to mention that bed linens and towels are not included in the rental. The renter is notified of this only after securing the reservation. In addition, the renter is also informed upon arrival that they are expected to clean up after themselves at check-out. Given the cost, over $400 for two nights, this is ludicrous.
#4: No instructions on how to use the TV
#5: No instructions on how to use the propane fireplace or AC.
#6: The tap water smells of sulfur. Renters should be warned to bring their own drinking water.

Blinds on the windows were broken. Window treatments should be replaced.

Second year here and didn’t disappoint! Looking forward to this as an annual trip! Thanks for being a great host!

Conveniently located always clean and well maintained perfect place to stay.

Not exactly like the pictures. Outside of camp looks nothing like the picture. Smaller than pictures show.
Front door needs a hip to it to get it open.
We blew a breaker 3 times. You can't use the air cond. while using the microwave and toaster.
Floor in the bedroom ran down hill.
Too close to the main road.

Very clean and nice and close to everything in Benezette. Best suited for 4 people but we made it work with 6 adults. Thanks for a great few days.

We came for the 100 mile yard sales this year. The location of the cabin was the perfect spot for us. The owners are very nice and respond quickly to our messages. Thank you

It was a very clean/nice place! Wish we could have stay for a few more days not just the weekend! Got to see some elk just not in the yard. But everything was amazing!

What a surprise when we opened the doors! We felt like we were moving into a new home!! Cleanliness was spot on!! Decor is so appealing! Appliances, & amenities were in great condition! We have no complaints other than not seeing many elk but then again it is May!

Spent our anniversary weekend at the Elk Antler Inn in Benezette,PA & had a great time!
The cabin is quaint, comfortable and centrally located to all that Elk County has to offer to hikers and nature watchers like ourselves.

We saw so many elk. We saw them through the trees from the fire pit, and they spent the day in the neighbor's yard and bedded down for the night across the street. Great location!

The house/cabin was immaculate. Very comfortable. For those that plan to explore, the property sits just a couple miles from the major elk viewing areas and good places to eat. Everything was great, right down to the hot shower.

We really enjoyed this cozy cabin. It was central to all of the areas we wanted to be & the elk were even in the backyard behind the cabin. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to enjoy Benezette .

We were in town for a family function. We used the cabin as a home base. It allowed us to spend great family time when we were “home”. The cabin was great and the location was fantastic. Close to the little country store for the things you need. Highly recommend!!
