A perfect getaway at beautiful Findley Lake. Ideal for skiers and boaters.

This refurbished, circa 1900 cottage offers three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a modern kitchen, and a sunporch with breathtaking views of the lake. A few steps from the front door a new PRIVATE dock provides areas for relaxing, boating, swimming, fishing, and just sitting. When you think it couldn't get better, retreat to the furnished patio behind the cottage and enjoy the brick fireplace. Light the charcoal grill, and enjoy your evening. If you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then Sunnyside Up is the place for you!

The newly remodeled kitchen is fully stocked. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and large windows overlooking the lake. The other two bedrooms have double beds. The living room provides warmth and coziness with a gas fireplace. The futon sleeps two. Cable TV and WIFI.

For ALL seasons, Findley Lake is a wonderful place to make memories.

Great little cottage on a very peaceful lake. We went at the perfect time of year for quiet and relaxation. The cottage was clean and well stocked with essentials. I only wish there was a ladder or stairs at the dock for swimming. We had some rain during our stay, so a pop up tent for the back yard or dock area would be a good idea to bring along. Would definitely stay again!

Gorgeous lake. This home's location and dock were great. Not a fancy house, but it well served our needs for a place to live and sleep while enjoying the lake. Walking distance to ice cream and Main St was a plus. Wineries, breweries, and other cute towns just a short drive away.

The location is outstanding and we spent most days kayaking, walking to a nearby ice cream shop, and walking the community. The cottage was cute given its history and it's location next to the water was ideal. Thank you so much!!!

The views of the lake were beautiful. There’s a nice dock and outdoor fireplace. The indoor space was really disappointing. The stairs to get upstairs are very narrow. The bedrooms are tiny. Beds/pillows are uncomfortable. The whole place was dusty and smelled mildewy.

Property is lovely and cozy, lots of outdoor activities-as well as rainy day indoor fun. Enjoyed fishing & kayaking, cooking & just being all together. Outdoor/green space somewhat limited for pet visitors.

We had a nice stay. The cottage was comfortable but definitely more rustic than updated. We didn’t mind. The stairs to the basement seemed sketchy to us ladies in our sixties so we didn’t use the washer/dryer like we wanted to. We used the kayaks and appreciated the life vests. We spent one day floating off the dock. We walked to the ice cream spot down the road. The AC unit stopped working while we were there and the owner came right over and got it running again. Not the nicest place we’ve stayed but it was fine for our girls trip and we had a good visit.

Great cabin! We found the porch to be inviting rain or shine, with great shade trees over the front of the house and awesome lake views. Findley lake is close enough to Chautauqua to enjoy the destination but far enough away to be a quiet getaway. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Super cute. House is old but well maintained. Kitchen was stocked nicely. Nice amenities. Gas fireplace came in very handy. Owners have great communication. Beautiful area. Love to see it in warmer weather

We used the cabin on a family ski trip to Peek N’ Peak (about 5 minutes away). The cabin has a lot of charm! It is well-stocked, with almost everything you could think of! Had no issues while staying there and would recommend this property in any season (I bet the summer is a blast too).

Sunny Side Up is our go-to in Findley Lake, always welcoming and feels like home in any season! Communication is a breeze, check-in and check-out are easy, everything you could need or want is provided (and much more), the beds are super comfy, the powder room on the second floor is a great extra, and overall, the house and dock are wonderful places to get away, relax and enjoy nature and the beautiful lake! Highly recommend!!

We had a great stay at this peaceful and cozy cottage with wonderful lake/sunset views. Loved the mix of antique furnishings and modern amenities. The pretty outdoor area with fireplace backing up to the woods was a great place to spend an evening. We enjoyed relaxing on the dock both during the daytime and in the evenings to watch the sunsets. The photos of this property don't do it justice. It is absolutely adorable! Quirky and fun. Tiny stairwell, bathroom, and guest bedrooms made us feel like little garden gnomes at a lake. Extremely clean. well decorated, soft linens, comfortable beds. Tons of games to play, beautiful sun porch, darts, pool table, etc. My boys and I had a blast. Kayaked around the lake, visited lake Erie a couple times (one beach is only 20 min away), watched the sun set from the dock, and just relaxed. Wonderful place to stay, with very welcoming and gracious hosts.

This quaint cottage was very clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The kitchen was stocked with staples, glassware, pots and pans, and plenty of dishes/ flatware. Love that it had both a Keurig and coffee maker. Our favorite part about the cottage was the sunroom and front bedroom as both had clear, beautiful views of the lake. We also liked the large outdoor fireplace and seating area although we could only enjoy it for a short time due to nighttime temperatures in the 20’s. The only suggestion we would have is to provide more comfortable seating options for the living space. The futon was comfy, but the 2 sitting chairs weren’t conducive for relaxing in front of the gas fireplace. We plan to come back sometime when the weather is warmer and we can use the dock and kayaks.

We loved our time at Sunny Side Up on Findley Lake. Leigh is the best owner I have ever interacted with when renting through VRBO. Felt like she was an old friend and we were borrowing her place for the week. She was helpful and quick to answer any questions. The cottage itself was perfect. Had the character of a traditional cottage (the kind I remember from childhood at Lake Chautauqua and 1,000 Islands) with all the needed updates for comfort and beautifully decorated. The master bedroom mattress was very comfortable. The Lake view from the porch will stay permanently etched in my mind. Sunny Side Up was just what we needed for a great family get away. Between the dock, kayaks, front porch and back patio we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the lake setting. Even when we had a few rainy days it was still lovely and relaxing. We did not venture into town because of the quarantine. But, based on what we saw from the car, we plan to come and visit again so we can enjoy the area. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with our family! We hope to come back and stay again another time.

We loved our stay at Findley Lake. We had so much fun taking the kayaks out with our children. We also enjoyed sitting on the dock in the evening watching the sun set. Leigh was a wonderful host and very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We would definitely stay again!

We had so much fun staying at this house - from swimming and kayaking in the lake to hanging out in the backyard in front of the fireplace. Such a great place, lots of amenities, and the owners were easy to communicate with. I will miss waking up in the morning and looking out at the lake! We will definitely be back!

This charming cottage was exactly as advertised. In the kitchen, appliances have been updated and all necessary equipment was there. The dock was awesome and enabled us to spend a whole day on the lake swimming, kayaking (the owners let us use their kayaks and life jackets), and just lazily floating! The dock is also a perfect spot to watch the sunset over Findlay lake. After sunset, we would set up by the outdoor fireplace, which is impressively built. There is cable and internet, but we never turned the tv on. This house provided a perfect getaway in a difficult time.
