About this bed and breakfast
Inside you'll find an open plan living, dining area, well equipped galley kitchen, shower and WC and comfortable bedroom with sumptuous king size bed. Great care has been taken to select a high end mattress to maximise your comfort and quality (and quantity) of sleep. The lounge area has a wood burning stove set in an Inglenook style fireplace. This room is flooded with light from the floor to ceiling windows and patio doors, that lead out on to the covered private deck with sunken hot tub. Here you are in a perfect position to immerse yourself in the peace and quiet while soaking up the countryside views whatever the weather. With subtle yet extensive lighting this protected area also serves to extend you day, enabling the guests to enjoy long comfortable evenings way beyond sunset.
The large enclosed lawned garden features a super comfortable Mexican hammock, variety of flowering fruit trees and a wishing well style structure housing a selection of bird feeders, all within clear line of site of the deck and hot tub. A recent addition of a patio equipped with teak alfresco dining set and brick built charcoal grill. This is the perfect setting for those who want to relax out doors or enjoy a barbecue.
Eden lodge is perfectly situated as a jumping off point for much of the South West. Access to AONB (area of outstanding beauty) of Culmstock Beacon or Wellington Monument on the Blackdown Hills is a 10 minute drive, with a huge variety of walks available. An hours drive from the spectacular rugged north Devon coast, and less than 30 minutes from either the south coast, Exmoor National Park or the picturesque city of Exeter, there really is something for everyone. The pretty local town of Wellington is a 10 minute drive away with many local independent retailers as well as a Waitrose supermarket. There are three local pubs within 2 miles that offer a variety of dining options or just a quiet spot for a relaxing drink. If staying closer to home then the beginning of the Grand Westurn Canal is just a few hundred meters from your door. A lovely walk or even canoe if feeling more adventurous (available for hire).
In short if you are looking for peace and quiet to recharge your batteries or a sumptuously comfortable base to enjoy some of what Devon and Somerset has to offer then you have found the right place.

This is a fantastic place to just get away from it all. This was a birthday surprise for the girlfriend and I'm for sure in her good books :D Eden lodge ticked all the boxes, romantic, cute, amazing views, cosy and picturesque. I will be recommending this place to everyone and will be returning! Thankyou to Rob and Corin for creating such a place, they have something special here

Rural perfection
Eden Lodge surpasses expectations. It is an ideal haven for those seeking total relaxation and tranquility with a bit of luxurious indulgence. Clean, modern accommodation, immaculately landscaped gardens and blissful hot tub... all you need to is stock the fridge with fizz! Corin and Rob have created something very special here ... you won’t want to leave. Great hosts discretely operating in background. You’d be mad not to book.

Lovely clean private cottage
Had a lovely time in clean, private cottage, with owners nearby - kindly left lovely cake and brought a fan when it was hot. Hot tub lovely. Garden is enclosed and so v safe for dogs/children. Kitchen possibly could have done with more implements but this is a small thing . Think best to mention that if four people staying, two are on sofa bed in communal area so if couple 1 go to loo in the night have to enter this area. Also difficulty getting directions (not owner's fault, but link on initial email after paying balance had 'expired' - would be helpful if homeaway resolved this). Many thanks

Brilliant Short Stay
Many Thanks to Rob and Corin for making our stay really good. The Lodge was very clean and every thing was perfect. The kids loved the friendly chickens. 5 stars from us. (p.s the cake that was given to us was yum) .

1st class
Lovely place - Get the bad bits out of the way 1st -- Well nothing really to comment on that will effect your stay in the slightest but if you wanted to be ultra critical , A little tired in places - minor things like a knob missing on a drawer and a worn cover on the tub and such like, Only one room for improvement - a dressing table would be a benefit !.
Now the good bits - Fantastic place - any --- very minor negatives were by far outshone by the charm of the Lodge [ We were in the older of the 2 Lodges and will only wish to return to this one ] . Little Personal touches like fresh flowers in the rooms and well thought out Gardens make it again stand out from the crowd.
Location - top marks
Peace, Tranquil surroundings - Top marks

Beautiful setting, great hosts and a lovely lodge. Perfect place to get away from it all for a few days. Felt like you were all on your own but only a short drive to wellington. Look forward to coming back, next time I need to recharge my batteries.
