Spectacular Mountain Views straight up the Hickory Nut Gorge are yours all week long from the windows and decks of HICKORY NUT LODGE. You will not believe your eyes as you enjoy phenomenal 180 degree Mountain Views all year long. The spring and fall colors are fantastic as the life returns to the mountains in the spring and the rich colors of fall take hold towards the end of the year. Any time is a good time to visit Hickory Nut Lodge. The home itself is richly appointed with a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and a dining table on the main level along with two master bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed and private bathrooms. Additionally there is a living area on the main level complete with a flat screen television. You can access the main level from an enclosed two-car garage. The second level of the home has a huge master bedroom with a walk in shower and garden tub along with a very spacious walk-in closet. Outside the master bedroom is a family room with a gas log fireplace, sectional couch and another flat screen television so you and your guests are able to enjoy two separate and very comfortable viewing areas. Are you bringing a few extra kids? The second level also has its own kids room with a set of twin beds. They'll love having their own private area. Finally, the third level has a very large game room area complete with an air hockey table, a very solid and sturdy foosball table, and a very nice professional poker table. While playing the games you'll be treated to another gas log fireplace to maintain both your warmth and the mountain mood. Of course you and your guests will want to spend some time outside on the decks which are fully equipped with outdoor furniture and a large gas grill. So pop the cork on your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy the good life here in the mountains of Lake Lure. Grill up your favorite foods and enjoy unbelievable mountain views just down the street from all that Lake Lure has to offer. Book early because anyone who stays in this beautiful home will book quickly for next year!

I recommend this place 100%, all utensils in the kitchen you need for cooking Is there, clean restrooms, great playroom area, comfortable house with plenty of space.

We had a great stay at the Hickory Nut Lodge. The views of the valley and Chimney Rock are beautiful. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Dining and shopping were close by and the game room was a plus.

Everything was wonderful, the home was great for our family. We all enjoyed the spacious rooms, game room & comfy beds/sofas. The view is outstanding!! Location & neighborhood great. Definitely recommend! We can’t wait to return!!

Fantastic home! There are 3 floors, with relaxing areas on each floor. Plenty of room for everyone. The game room on the lowest level made evenings very enjoyable, whether playing cards or foosball. The view is absolutely breathtaking from the two upper floors and it's so quiet outside. When we return to Lake Lure, we will check a date so we stay at the Hickory Nut Lodge.

We spent two weeks at Hickory Nut Lodge and we can't say enough about how Amazing this house is! Everything was Perfect! It was very clean, comfortable, great location and a view that is unmatched! Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of Heaven with us! It was really hard to leave.

This place was ideal. Each couple, person had his own bedroom with bath. That was primary. The location was great, close to everything. the only thing I would have liked would be able to do some walking outside. We had a great time.

Our family (Asheville, Seattle & Atlanta) had a wonderful stay at Hickory Nut Gap Lodge! The view "grabbed" us as we walked in & the beautiful 3-story house had everything we could possible need, including a fun game room on the bottom level. We totally enjoyed our whole family as we cooked & played, & enjoyed the area, as we do annually, treasuring our time together! Thank you! Thank you!

Would definitely stay again. Wow what a view! Downside— too many detailed chores required upon departure when everyone is scrambling to get out at 10am or be charged.

Held a short family get together. We rented 3 places between the family members and chose Hickory Nut as the main get together place in the evenings. Worked out beautifully. Only downside: finding pots and pans, etc., in the kitchen’s lower dark corner cabinets. We really loved the house and it’s convenient location!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. The view is exceptional, the house feels like a home and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to comfortably cook meals if you want to stay in. Plenty of space for a family gathering! If you are considering booking this property, do it! You won’t regret it :)

We opened the front door and there was a collective gasp. We have stayed in MANY mountain houses and have never had such a view. The house made visiting easier….gates and fun times on the lower level and the older set upstairs. We had a week’s stay there and it was wonderful.

Most beautiful view of the mountains from the huge windows all across the back of the cabin! Comfortable beds, nice thick towels and very clean! The kids enjoyed the lower level playing all the games in the lower level game room. Plenty of areas to hike and a must is Chimney Rock and visiting the shops of the quaint little town. The cabin provided plenty of space for each to enjoy time alone or be together as a family to have fun times! This cabin was the absolute best! It will not disappoint!

This was our second stay at this beautiful property. I brought my father and mother up for my dad’s 86th birthday! The view did not disappoint with the beautiful fall foliage. It was great for my parents because they were able to enjoy everything on one level. My husband and I used the downstairs bedroom. It was such a wonderful weekend. One of my favorite places to stay for sure!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. Hickory Nut Lodge is the ideal mountain home! It's cozy but at the same time lets you enjoy the beautiful views through the den windows and on the deck. House was well equipped and beds were very comfortable! We had a great time.

So close to everything but a world away- this beautiful home was so comfortable and was everything we wanted; Gorgeous views with a level, concrete driveway for motorcycles. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other beautiful mountain roads. Minutes from Chimney Rock, and Biltmore but away from highways. Well stocked kitchen, toasty fireplace and plenty of big tvs!! Loved it!

This place is absolutely perfect. The view, kitchen accessories, game room and everything about it. Super clean and beautifully well kept. The daily hummingbird show was a plus along with the cardinals and yellow finches. Spent our 41 anniversary and it couldn't have been any better.

The view from this house the instant you open the front door is spectacular! We stayed here with family for Easter in April and celebration of my mom's 70th birthday! It had so much room that the teens could be in one part of the house completely different from the the adults. It was beautifully decorated, super clean and had everything that we needed to prepare our Easter lunch. The one thing I will say is if you can arrange your travel plans make sure that you arrive during the daylight, if not you will have the most spectacular view come morning.

Hickory Nut Lodge has an outstanding mountain view. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, fully functioning kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, yet only 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Lure. Would love to stay here again.

The rental property was exactly as described online. Everything was spotlessly clean and neat. All the adults in our group commented that the beds were super comfortable. The game room was a huge hit with the whole family.. Best of all was the amazing view of the surrounding mountains. We hope to visit at Hickory Nut Lodge again someday!
