We had the room with the rice terraces view, it was so pretty. We did the 3 days-trek with Randy & Troy and it was amazing. Germaine prepared us a delicious packed lunch every day and was so nice with us. We also shared stories and talks with the family. Thank you for everything, best chicken curry and adobo ❤️ see you soon

Het uitzicht , niet te ver in het dorp en je kan hier ook eten .
Het is basic zoals de meeste logementen hier maar prijs kwaliteit prima voor mij.

Germaine and her family were very accommodating and extremely friendly. We had a really nice time in Batad. It was my second time and I think this place is much cozier than the others. Food is good, the view from the terrace is amazing. Really nothing to complain about. Highly recommend staying here!

Everything there, as usual.
People are amazing, location right in front of rice terraces is amazing too.
I loved our discussions and laugh with the friendly family.
Food is excellent as well.
Hope I'll have the opportunity to come again !
Take care and thank you 😊

Wunderbare Aussicht, top Bewirtung, liebe Hosts

f you need a place to relax, with friendly people (owner & family) , great food and a magnificent view (the Batad Rice Terraces) this is the place to stay. Every time we come here they improve our stay. It really is a home away from home.
We found it sad that the road to Batad was cemented for 90%. Before you could walk (hike) down the hill which made the experience even better. But it stays a great place to visit

This is the type of place i always look for when travelling. A place with a long history of hosting travellers (you can see many pictures and notes of past travellers as part of the decoration), approachable good hearted people who run the place and nice food and drinks to choose from. When arriving in this magnificent village from the parking area (after an easy 15 minute walk) the hotel is right at the beginning. The view is absolutely amazing and i felt comfortable from start to finish.
* If you need internet to send a few messages, you can buy internet vouchers per hour. Super cheap but the connection of course is slow - but handy if you just want to send a quick message :)
Thank you for hosting me and all the laughs (and beers) with shared :) .

Everything! Germaine and her dad are so sweet and helpful 💕. The view from the terrace is magnificent, the food is very decent. We had two heavy suitcases with us, so Germaine sent us her neighbors to the end of the road from where you have to walk down to the village. For a small fee, they helped us carry everything. They also work as guides, and we did a hiking tour with them spectacular! There is a shower with warm water, and the whole place is immaculately clean.

I stayed two nights at Rita's and loved it so much. Lovely Germaine and Mister Romeo are so welcoming and always have a warm smile and laughter for you. The rooms are basic and very clean, but you don't spend time in your room since the restaurant area with it's stunning view on the Batad rice terraces and mountains is more than you wish for. I also loved how flexible Germaine was. When I couldn't finished my food, she would safe it for later.
I also had an amazing guide for two days with Elisa, who is Germaine's neighbour. Sometimes we talked so much that we spend more time for the hikes than calculated. But if you want a guide that delivers all the insider information about the village and their people, the history of the region, the rice fields, rice making and so much more, ask Germaine for Elisa. Don't waive a guide. For sure you can also hike alone. Not just you will miss so much insider information and awesome company during your hike, it's also good to support the locals since some of them depend on this income.
If I ever come back to Batad, I'll choose Rita's again 🙏🏻

Please ask for vincent as your tour guide. He is a legend.
Rita's mountain view is taken care of by a wonderful family who make the stay magical. It's a must. Anyone able bodied can 100% stay here. And enjoy the fresh made pizzas and french fries!!
Go to bed before it gets dark!

Rita's Inn is an amazing experience. The view is absolutely brilliant and the place itself is great. The owners are a friendly family, who also cook for you. The accommodation is basic but has everything you need. The whole stay was so much fun. You get to see what life in the little town is like and it's a very peaceful place. I would have stayed there longer and I highly recommend the Inn to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in Batad.

The view is truly amazing, the staff were really accommodating and nice to us. It is very easy to find a tour guide to hike in the terraces and it is quite close compared to Banaue city. The bedrooms are small but comfortable.
There is no plug in the bedrooms to charge the phone but there it is possible to go at the reception to charge it

We loved the great views, the room is simple but functionnal and clean! Rita’s family is really nice and welcoming and Germaine is always here to help with a smile. The food is also good. It is a really nice value for money.
The bathroom is rudimentary.

Our hosts, Germaine and Romeo were wonderful. They were very accommodating and we enjoyed talking with them. The location was perfect and the view was beautiful. It was a great place to unwind, relax, detach, and experience what it's like to live in the area.
The accomodation is very simple but sufficient for everything you need.

Germaine (Rita's daughter) is very accommodating and welcoming.
The place has excellent views of the rice terraces.
The rooms are simple but are exactly what you would need in Batad.
The shower is not hot but even warm is much better than cold 😀
You do need to ask for them to turn on the electricity.

Their place is comfortable and has an amazing view of the terraces. I’ve been five times now and highly recommend to anyone visiting Batad!

It was an amazing stay, the owners are extremely lovely and welcoming. We had the best time staying here, experiencing local life and learning more about Batad, and the Philippines. We did two hikes in total, with the best views. We totally recommend this place if you want to experience local life and if you love nature. We did, and we will never forget this place.

The views are amazing, and Germenia and Ramon (don't know if the names are written properly) are super nice. The food is also great and they have very nice souvenirs at a very good price.

The view! It was amazing! Helpful people too! Right near the entrace for the Batad rice terraces so no need to walk all the way down the stairs with luggage. There was hot water for the shower, thank goodness!
It was cold! We went in January so that was winter there. The blankets were not enough on top of our coats and sweaters. Unfortunately it is non-refundable. We booked for 2 nights and only stayed 1 night. We asked if she could use the money paid for one night as a discount for food and was not negociable.

The location is amazing, you can’t find a better view of the rice terraces. Staff was really kind, Germain who runs the ship had lots of veggies on the menu which was a refreshing change from our prior experience in the Philippines. Her parents were really sweet, just living their lives in the mountains and letting you be around. The view is what made it special.
Don’t forget that this is a home stay. It FEELS like a home stay. Like your in other peoples space, all the time.
I have so much respect for the locals, for what they do to build their lives and home and terraces all by hand.
I think that I wasn’t expecting it to be as rugged as it was, shared bathroom with no toilet seat or TP, and cold water showers. Once actually being there I would be surprised if it was anything different. So as a warning: Bring TP and warm clothes, a towel to dry off, And your own water if you can, because they charge 70 pesos.
One thing to note is that other community members deserve income too so I would recommend you to find other people to support as well during
your time (purchase massage or tours etc through them) You may get questioned how much you paid but maybe it’s best to keep it to yourself to avoid drama
