About this house rental

2023 has gotten off to a busy start! Some new improvements to Oak Street include turning the jack and jill bath on the third floor into 2 full baths, relocating the laundry room to the second floor, expanding the deck off of the living room, and finishing the garage into a second living space. Some pictures are included. We hope that you all enjoy the new improvements!

Park your car and walk or bike to everything on the island! Our home borders the King & Prince Hotel property, so the location cannot be beat. The beach is a short two minute/one block walk from the front door. Or turn the other direction and in less than 2 minutes you have five fantastic restaurants at your disposal -the Crab Trap, Crab Daddies, the Beachcomber, Barrier Island Brewing, and Fiddlers. You can also pop into the Pelican Market for a snack or ice cream or the Still for your beverage needs. Not to mention Ocean Motion for all of your kayaking, beach and biking needs. The King & Prince also offers oceanfront dining and a nice lounge for cocktails and appetizers.

Our home is a townhome situated on three levels. The first level contains a living room with a smart TV and a bedroom with a queen bed and full bath, which has access to a patio that is gated - a perfect spot to store beach equipment and bikes and rinse off the sand from the beach.

The second level is completely open and perfect for socializing. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen, half bath, laundry area, living area with a Smart TV, and a sizeable deck with a settee, a table and chairs, grill, and stairs that lead down to the patio. The deck is partially covered and shaded, which is a nice relief from the Georgia heat.

The third floor has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, each with a vanity, toilet and shower. The back bedroom on this floor has a king size bed, TV, and a covered deck outdoor seating, perfect for reading and relaxing in the shade or enjoying a beverage, away from the main living area. The front bedroom has a queen size bed and TV.

We love coming to St. Simons with our family and we hope your will enjoy our home as much as we do. Please call or email with any questions!

Note: This property is NOT part of the King & Prince, so there is not access to their pool. However, our public beach access runs through their property and is fully accessible to anyone. There is a beautiful public pool by the lighthouse with a huge kids area if you are interested in a pool day as opposed to a beach day.

We just wrapped up our stay here for the 5th year in a row. We continue to return because you can’t beat the location. It is a well furnished and equipped home, and accommodates our family of 5 perfectly. The recent renovations are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! We especially like being able to walk almost anywhere we want to go. Thanks for another incredible stay and a week full of special memories!

Highest recommendation for this superb home on SSI! The location is unrivaled. Easy walk to great restaurants like Crabdaddy’s and Fiddler’s. Even easier stroll right to the ocean’s edge on the best beach of SSI- directly in front of luxury hotel King and Prince, whose property is adjacent to this lovely home. Nice two mile walk on the beach to Pier Village with great coffee and shopping. You can easily bike all over the island from here. My husband biked the 2 miles to Sea Island for RSM Classic. The privacy fenced backyard was a secure spot for our expensive bikes. Three beautiful bedrooms, each with their own full bath. Two dens with sofas and nice TV’s. My husband watched golf upstairs while I watched The Crown downstairs. Large gorgeous kitchen but who’s cooking with Crabdaddys one block away and boxes of cinnamon rolls from Dulce Dough on the counter? Beautiful sliding glass doors open to large wooden decks on floors 2 and 3. We’ve already booked our next trip!

This was our 5th year staying here and it just gets better and better every year. Not only is it close to the beach, it is within walking distance to several restaurants, small store, and a bike shop. The house has several floors, which means you get loads privacy. It isn't just a beach house, it feels like a warm and inviting home with beautiful and recent updates. We had several guests during our stay and each one raved about the location and comfort here. Thanks again for sharing this great place! See you next year!!!!!

The kitchen was very well stocked indeed and the location was wonderful. The biggest downside for two of three of us adults who are asthmatics was due to the lack of cross ventilation, the property was quite musty smelling. A deep cleaning or removal of the carpeting may be the only mitigation. Noticed a lot of dust in certain areas (window sills especially). One overnight during our 9 night stay was loud music until 3 am, but the location could not be determined. Other than that night, it was a peaceful stay.

Our favorite aspect of this property was its location - once we arrived by car, we never got back it in until we checked out. We walked to rent bikes, walked to the little coffee shop at King and Price, walked to dinner each night, and biked all around the island. The property itself worked very well for our small family of 3. We enjoyed the crow's nest deck at the very top but didn't use the other many decks much. We also didn't cook but appreciated how nice and well-stocked the kitchen was. The bathroom and a few other aspects (carpet on the stairs, closet doors) are dated, but that didn't matter to us. Also, we would have appreciated having beach towels and beach chairs provided, but the owner is up front about that so no real issue there.

Loved this place, the kitchen was well stocked with quality dishes , pots/ pans and everything else needed! I cooked and baked a lot! There are lots of stairs but I didn't mind. Location was indeed #1!!! The property manager was available for anything we needed. The place was clean and had pretty much everything one needs for a great stay! I plan on coming back!

This rental is a fabulous place to stay. The owner has put quite a bit of thought into making this rental a convenience for people to rent. I love all of the little ammenaties that make it like a home. The kitchen has anything you can imagine to help in the preparation of meals. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We loved this property and had a wonderful stay in St. Simons Island. Very comfortable and fun. The location is amazing, just 2 min stroll to the beach. Very comfortable beds in all rooms, tons of linens, great living and outdoor spaces, well stocked kitchen - we cooked in quite a bit. Our 10-yr old son and we enjoyed renting out bikes for the whole stay and exploring the fun little island with tons to do. Especially enjoyed biking on the beach at low tides... We can't wait to return - thank you, Elissa!

This is our second stay and won’t be our last. It’s very clean and Elissa’s updates are making it even nicer. The kitchen recently redone was great and is super well stocked. The short walk to the beach & proximity to King and Prince and great restaurants all in walking distance make it perfect for us. Elissa was super prompt with answering a question or two I had.
