Picturesque views of the quaint fishing village, calm seas, and lush tropical foliage add to the charm of this resort community. Divers will appreciate the easy access to the calm and protected waters of the west end and the healthy and abundantly populated coral reefs just a few meters from shore. Two PADI dive operations are nearby for equipment rentals and boat diving for those who want to explore further offshore. Be sure to join your neighbors at the sea wall each evening for the spectacular sunsets.

The weather on the island of Curacao is fantastic. Winter temperatures usually mean lows in the mid 70's with highs in the mid 80's. Summer temps will be just a few degrees warmer and October is the warmest month. Consistent winds from the east to the west allow many to sleep with the windows open instead of using the air conditioning. The climate of Curacao is considered to be tropical savanna. Rainfalls total between 20-22 inches per year. Even during the rainy season (early winter) the daytime rain is punctuated with periods of bright sunshine and most rains are at night.
Curacao is a sightseer's dream. The island has enjoyed a rich history which is still in evidence today. A large and protected natural seaport made the island the commercial and cultural hub of the Netherlands Antilles for the past 500 years. Columbus was one of the early explorers to visit her shores. Much of the early history and culture of Curacao is proudly displayed in the many museums and colorful "landhuises" which dot the countryside. There are "Kodak moments" at every turn. The island's 38 beaches are generally tucked between coral cliffs or rolling hills. Most are secluded and intimate. The best beaches are found on the island's west end where we are. Photographers will be captivated by the number of unique vistas that will be found in a day's exploration.

It was the first time for my husband and I to Curacao and it exceeded our expectations. Beth and Phil's unit was well equipped and a great location for viewing the ocean and the mountains from their upper deck. They were very responsive with answering any of our questions and giving helpful tips and information to make our stay a great experience. We snorkelled in the ocean right out front of their property with two access points with ladders right into the ocean. Lots of sea life to explore along the rocks. Their are several wonderful beaches, all unique in their own way for snorkelling or just enjoying. Also several great restaurants close by but we would definitely suggest renting a car to explore the area of Westpunt. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend their unit for your visit to Curacao. Patricia and Jim

Host was very hands-on with helping with any questions we might have. Quiet location just what we wanted. Great diving and snorkeling 100 feet from the front door. Very friendly guest in the resort. Beautiful pool. Very short walk to 3 restaurants and 2 beaches. Short drive to many great beaches, restaurants and points of interest. Without a doubt this was the most relaxing vacation ever! I believe having a car is a must.

Great place to stay if you are happy to be far away from the busy touristic life of Curacao. The North of the island is fantastic for nature lovers and people who love to have a quiet vacation. The beach house is nice and cosy and has everything you need for a great stay. Bed is amazing and so is the reclining love seat. There is a constant breeze which is nice as well. We had a relaxing week. Let's not forget about Beth and Phil who are amazing hosts and respond to messages in no time.

This is a lovely unit in Marazul Dive Resort-a beautiful view! The only reason for the less than 5 stars is because we weren't told ahead that the dual recliner was broken (one side), and, believe it or not, comfy living room furniture plays into which unit we chose. Snorkel gear was supposed to be there, but when we told the owner that it had apparently gone on walkabout, he was quite distressed and immediately apologized and told us to please buy what we needed and he would reimburse us.
The AC worked well to cool the unit, we enjoyed snorkeling right off the staircases, met lovely neighbors at the pool, and ate really good food at the restaurant just next door-the Cactus Cafe. So good that we never ate at another restaurant in the area!

Feels like Home
This was our second time staying at Beth's place and our 5th time at Marazul. We love it!!!! Had everything we needed. Air worked well but we seldom used the downstairs unit as the morning breeze was awesome. The bed was comfortable. This time we met some of the neighbors and began to feel even more like locals. We dove off the boat 4 times and did Alice and Playa Grande, but one of our favorite is diving the shallows in front the Condo. There were so many fish, it was like an aquarium. The reef in front of there is nice too. Can't wait to get back to Marazul.

Terrific in Every Way!
We had a wonderful experience at this property. Beth was an attentive, excellent host. She provided detailed instructions and information about the property and surrounding area. She checked in a few times to make sure everything was good and we were enjoying our stay. We were! The condo was very clean and spacious. You had ocean views from both the downstairs and upstairs...right from your bed! The kitchen was well-equipped. The owners had extras items available as well (e.g .blender, many cooking utensils, reef guides, Netflix account) which made the stay even more enjoyable. There was a manager at the condo complex, Lex, who was also very friendly and helpful. The parking lot is gated so your rental car is safe. There was a nice pool for swimming or sunbathing that overlooked the ocean. You also could walk about 50 steps and climb down a ladder and snorkel or swim. The snorkeling in the area was excellent. Many varied, interesting, and colorful fish! There were several top-notch beaches nearby. There also were excellent restaurants within walking and short driving distance. We enjoyed Cactus Cafe and Sol Foods. Excellent food and service. You will want to do grocery shopping before you drive up as there is not a larger grocery store nearby. If you stock up ahead of time, you'll be set. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to relax at a quiet place with beautiful views and nice amenities, close to good beaches and restaurants. We felt like we were living in paradise!

Just What We Needed
This was our 4th time to Marazul but only our first time in this unit. We love Marazul and can't wait to get back. Although we usually rent 3 bedroom, this unit was plenty roomy enough for the 2 of us and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the reclining loveseat. With the curtains open, we could just sit there and enjoy the view of the ocean. The bench in back for setting up scuba gear was also a huge plus. I would reserve this place again. Thank you Beth.

This was our first trip, and probably not the last, to the island of Curaçao. The location of Beth’s place in Westpunt was ideal. We really wanted a place to stay that was right on the ocean with easy access to snorkeling, with out having to get in our car and drive somewhere. This property hugs quite a bit of the shore and has two ladders with access into the sea. We would snorkel between the two, and beyond. There are some nice coral reefs and we saw some lovely creatures! Even the octopus! My favorites were the luminescent squid, with their bulging blue eyes and little round purple pink fluttering bodies. So cute! There are many good restaurants in the area too. We never had a bad meal. We did use the bbq grill one night. The kitchen is well equipped and we used it. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner is really needed. We tried doing without one night as the breezes are so plentiful, but the humidity is so high, we finally closed up and turned it on. The patio off the bedroom is lovely. Such a great view. My husband liked the porch off the sliders on the lower level, especially in the morning when all the beautiful yellow birds are darting around sucking the nectar out of the pretty flowers that are everywhere. It was a luxury having a bathroom in the main floor. The property is clean, beautiful, friendly, and quaint and quiet. Just perfect. The pool is nice too. Beth was very helpful and responsive to all our questions. Thanks Beth!

Perfect for us
If you are the adventurous type. This might be the trip for you. Westpunt is definitely where the most beautiful beaches and snorkeling is. Rental car is necessary. As far as this property we loved the sunsets near the pool, gated community, easy access to snorkeling, and spotting sea turtles.

Paradise found!
I can not say enough wonderful things about our stay at Marazul Dive Resort. This is my second stay there, and I can't wait to go back again. The owners were very helpful, and promptly answered any questions we had. The property itself was perfect. We did not want to leave. The unit had everything we needed and more. The decor was very welcoming and comfortable. If you want a quiet, uneventful peaceful place to stay, this is a perfect little piece of paradise. Comfort and cleanliness are tops on my list, and this unit has it all. I will be back, and would gladly book this same unit again and again.

Great location. Good accommodations
Great location, great wifi reception, clean grounds, clean pool, great view of the ocean from our bedroom balcony, Beth was great with the pre arrival explanations of how to get there, some of the close by beaches and places to eat. Lex was also very attentive to making sure that everything was working well.

Beautiful, Comfortable and great beaches!
Beth is fantastic to work with providing directions and advice right from the start and made our trip to Curacao easy. The townhouse is exactly as described with bonus touches. Kenepa Grandi is our favorite beach with great snorkeling and gorgeous water. There were hardly any tourists which made it nice and not too crowded. We had so much fun swimming with the turtles at Playa Grandi. The close by restaurants were good especially Sol Food. We had an amazing honeymoon and would definitely come back again to Beth's townhouse in Curacao!

Perfect Vacation!
Beth Larsen's Marazul villa was the most perfect place for our family of 3. Our 12 year old son enjoyed his own space sleeping on the Murphy bed downstairs while we had our own very comfortable bedroom upstairs. It would have been nice to have space downstairs to hang our wet scuba gear. We would let our gear drip dry on the porch then carry upstairs to dry out on the balcony overnight. The basic spices, utensils, pots and pans, electric kettle and small toaster oven were available. Perfectly located. Lots of very good places to eat. Groceries only 12km away in Barber or back 30 minutes to the big grocery store Centrum. GoWest Diving only 4 minutes away which is THE best dive shop and site! Incredible healthy reef right in front of the villa or in front of the dive shop. Fun easy drive to Williemstad. Movies, shopping in Punda, eating at Plaza Bieu! Fantastic place! Highly recommend!

Private and quiet!
We loved our stay at Marazul E2! Beth's detailed emails prior to our departure were most helpful and much appreciated! Lex the manager was also super welcoming and helpful. The villa was as described. AC worked like a charm, though the power went out once one evening just for an hour or so. We'd been forewarned of this as the power company does regular rotational blackouts in certain parts of the island. It's part of life so no worries! We would definitely love to come back! Oh and the snorkeling is the best!

Property was neat and clean and was better than pictures show. Air conditioning worked great.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Beth was great when making our reservation. She was quick to respond and answer our questions and checked in during our stay to see if we had all we needed. Lex (Property manager) was very helpful and checked in periodically to see if we had everything we needed. He was also easy to find if we needed him in between visits.
We snorkeled several times and were not disappointed. Variety of sea life and coral. We were also given great info on other great places to snorkel and explore.
The Island is small and easy to navigate. Street signs are different than we are used to, but if you have a map you will get along fine. A rental car is a must. We were able to cover the whole island during our week long visit.
Some restaurants we enjoyed were Sol Foods(wish they were open every day), Trio Penotti, and Landhuis Misjé. Staff and food were wonderful at all. One night we bought fresh fish(baracuta) right from the fisherman and prepared it ourselves.
Overall, the atmosphere is relaxing with great ocean views. If you are a fancy resort type person, this is not for you, but if you love a quiet relaxing vacation you will not be dissappointed.

Great Vacation Home
It was our third stay at Marazul resort. We absolutely love this place. It's beautiful and quiet. The house is clean and has everything we needed. Managers are very helpful and responsive. Best Curacao snorkeling beaches are 5-15 minutes drive from resort. I am looking forward to many more visits.

A nice, quiet escape away from everything. The owners give you lots of information prior to arrival. Plan your food shop before you go! There are no shops up there. The diving is incredible and very easy access from shore. Would come again!

Fantastic!
Marazul resort is a very nice and secure small complex of villas in the Westend of the island. We stayed at E2 and were very happy with our one month rental. The villa was very clean and well appointed, a very homey feel. The bed was very very comfy and that is so important. Bed linens were nice and changed weekly. We spent time daily on the upper deck with the wicker love seat and chairs and coffee table which was great for card playing and cocktails. Bathrooms are in great shape. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses and cutlery. The gas stove was appreciated especially for the 1 hour power loss during our one month stay. The crock pot, electric skillet and BBQ made cooking easy. We really appreciated the lazy boy sofa with direct tv and netflix. Lots of nice renters here and some permanent residents too. The location is great...you do need a car. We were able to snorkel right in front of the complex every day. There many beaches with 5 to 20 minute drive, great for beach relaxing or snorkeling. The pool was a great refresher after a day at the beach or in town. I would highly recommend this property and location. It is very easy to drive on the island. Willemstad is 45 minutes, Centrum large grocery 45 or grocery in Barber 15 mins. Beth was really easy to deal with and very professional, every step of the way. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was great, exactly as described and therefore expected. With all the useful and very precise hints provided by Beth well timed prior our vacation, the time on Curacao became a memory for life. Many many thank to Beth for all your passion perparing our trip with all you useful recommendation and of course for the great apartment.
I can only highly recommend this apartment.
Kind regards

This was our second stay here. Nice secure compound. The villa is nice and clean and comfortable with a king size bed upstairs and a "murphy" bed down and ceiling fans. Big screen TVs up and down with leather furniture downstairs. The kitchen is user friendly and has everything you need. We bought food in town and fixed almost all of our meals. The parking is close and the water is about 50 feet away.
The diving really is great. No surf, no rough water to fight. The owners have a bench for setting up your tank and suiting up. You can dive off the platform at the bottom of the stairs. Go left, go right, shallow or deep. Saw octopus, reef squid, yellowfin tuna, moray eels, and huge schools of fish. Dove several other sites but none were better than the "house reef." If you get tired of diving here (we didn't) drive 5-15 mins. north or south and dive another site. You never have to get on a boat. The dive shop (for tanks and rentals) is only 5 mins. away.
NO BUGS. We are already planning to go back this year.

I visited Marazul unit E2 in early October 2015. I found out about this location through a family member who is an avid scuba diver. The unit was nice and tidy. The lower level had a bathroom with shower, a kitchen, eating area, living room and patio. There's a nice reclining couch and a comfortable Murphy bed on the lower level. Upper level has a nice bedroom and bath and a large patio / sun deck off of the bed room. Everything was nice, clean and comfortable. There's a nice pool a short walk from the unit, but the best part is that it is literally just steps from some of the best diving I've ever seen.
I have been fortunate enough to dive the Philippines, the Red Sea (Jordan), the Bahamas, Mexico, Belize, the Caymans, mawny of the usual suspects.....For some reason, Curaçao was not on my radar. Fortunately I had a family member bring it to my attention. Marazul is up on the north west part of the island, kind of off the beaten path. The reef right in front of this place is amazing. About 40-50 paces out the front door of this unit is the main stairway that leads down to the ocean. The steps are concrete and easy to navigate, maybe 25 steps and you're down at sea level. There is a landing 5 or 6 feet above the sea and there is a nice sturdy stainless steel ladder for exiting. We just dropped in from the landing on entry. The bottom is 20 feet right at the wall. A short 50-60 yards straight out the sandy bottom turns to reef and starts to fall down to greater depths. You pick your depth and direction and just go.
A short distance away are several beach areas. You can even snorkel to a couple from Marazul. Go West dive shop is also a few minutes from Marazul, you can actually see it from there. Tanks were $9 USD per fill/rental which made for some of the cheapest diving I've done in years. The dive shop is a short 5 minute drive from the unit and you can walk right out into the ocean and dive there too.
We went to the shop one day and did two dives, then took some tanks home for the next day. The next morning we got up, had breakfast, geared up on the dive bench out back, walked with our gear on to the steps, went down and jumped in. It's that close. Truly amazing to have that in your front yard.
There's plenty to do for non divers here too. Explore the island, drive down to Willemstad, drive to all of the amazing secluded beaches, etc.
