We felt like this was a money maker for the owner. No maintenance, many things broken. Lights not working. Dishwasher sounded like the door was about to fall off. Coffee maker had all button descriptions off. Had to google to see what buttons were. The house smelled awful. Bought an air freshener but only helped a little. Not sure if rugs were ever cleaned. Bare minimum on kitchen supplies.
All other rentals supplied foil, seran wrap, kleenix, This place did not. We should only have to bring food not everything in our kitchen. Will not rent from here again. This place was a dump. A shame if maintained properly could have been a better experience.

Nice home. Needs some maintenance. Barbecue was not clean. Kitchen well appointed except for coffee maker.
Woodwork in bathroom was chewed up, probably by someone’s dog.

Got booted out of house by owner
Had this house all booked and then got booted out. Imagine if we had bought airline tickets to stay here and then at the last minute, the owner/host boots you out!

Great house with awesome location!
Property had an easy check-n starting with a key pick up on the way and easy getting in to the house. It was perfect for our get-away and the hot tub was larger than anticipated. Would book again.

Good for family
The home is older, but all was clean upon arrival: floors, bedding, bathrooms. Super comfy beds! Pots and pans put away from previous guests were unclean and required some pre-clean. Hot tub, lovely, neighborhood: great. Only 4 small towels upon arrival, and two flat pillows in master, but all was remedied easily. Home had zero working smoke detectors, which they installed within hours -but shocking that it didn't have any in the bedrooms at all, and none in the common area where the fireplace is. Again, all remedied quickly. Massive plumbing issue the last morning, which was stressful, but as the management said "it's only the last hours of your stay, not a "last day". Despite some hiccups, all is good, home is perfect for a getaway.

Thank you!
We had a lovely time in your lovely home. The home was a relaxing home base for our day trips to the lake, parks, and river. It was a real treat to come back at the end of the day to unwind in the hot tub.

Escape for Bay Area smoke
Very comfortable home located in close proximity t amazing hiking and biking trails. House was comfortable and management staff were responsive. Great place to be when the air in the Bay Area was awful from the fires.

Could have been so much better with a little effort
The location was perfect for us but the property was not kept in great condition. Lot's of poop in the backyard area, curtains broken and hanging off the rails and one had a large burn hole in it. One dresser drawer was broken and the others worked poorly. The basic decorations with a little effort could be drastically improved. Using pine cones is not the only option for decorating book shelves (I actually rearranged the book shelf to make it more ascetically appealing). There was also no welcome note, bottle of wine basket of cookies waiting for us and no information in the unit on local restaurants or activities. Again, the location is great and the property could be too with just a little more effort and upkeep as it was expensive.

Well worth it - great neighborhood and locatoin
We stayed here with 2 adults, 3 teens and 2 dogs. First the communication with the rental company was first rate. They were responsive and easy to work with. The house is in good condition and and provided separation when necessary and good places for all of us to be together. The neighborhood is great and the location provides easy access to the lake and surrounding activities. Having the XC / Bike trails just a short-distance away was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with implements but disorganized - hard to find things - I guess a result of being a common rental. We also had to re-wash dishes that were dirty in the cupboards. Maybe here again prior renters. Those small issues aside, the property worked out very well and we would rent it again.

Home away from home
We really enjoyed our stay here! It was my husband, myself, our 18-year old daughter, a friend of hers (same age) and our two dogs. The property is large, spacious and very comfortable - located in a nice residential neighborhood. The girls slept in the room with gigantic bunk beds (I think they are queen-sized), and had their own little living room area downstairs as well. We slept upstairs in the huge master and had our own living room area as well. We all spent a lot of time on the upper deck with our pups, as well as in the great hot tub. It was nice to be able to do a few loads of laundry (detergent supplied) during the week, which meant we all packed a lot less than normal. We weren't interested in going to restaurants during this time, so it was great to have a fully-loaded kitchen for cooking our own meals. Went for a lot of walks with the dogs in the neighborhood, and a couple of bike rides. There is a great bike path into to Tahoe City (actually all around the lake it seemed), but the house is up a large hill from the main road/bike path, so be prepared. We loved the nearby Lake Forest area beach - small, not crowded and we could take the dogs. The only complaints are the light fixtures in the dining room and kitchen were just covered in cobwebs, (so would suggest the cleaning service remember to go over those as well), and we ended up running almost every glass in the cupboard through the dishwasher before using...they all seemed a little greasy and dirty. But, overall it was a great place for a week-long getaway during a pandemic!

Overall good time
We really enjoyed the property. We did have a small hiccup - the hot tub was not filled with water and the cleaner came the next day to fill it and clean it for us. I would have preferred this was done prior to our stay. Second issue was the bbq grill not having gas and not having been cleaned. Despite the inconvenience, the property manager discounted our stay and was very responsive to our complaints. Easy check in and check our process. Also some confusion with the pet fee as we had a service animal, but that was essentially resolved as well. I would just recommend to future stayers to call ahead and clear up the expectations on those 3 fronts. Otherwise, great property, great location, all necessary amenities and close to the water and supermarkets. We all very much enjoyed ourselves.

Nice place, perfect for a few guy to crash during a long ski weekend.
Perfect place for what we needed. Affordable, clean, lots of couches and tv’s with a great deck and spa. Not real fancy, but just right. Would stay here again.

Great Location
We loved our stay at this house. There were 4 adults, 2 children under 2 and 1 old dog. It was super close to get to Tahoe City (drive or bike ride) and Skylandia Beach & Park was right down the hill. Also, Sugar Pine Bakery is on your way to the beach and has amazing breakfast sandwiches and pastries that you can pick up and eat on a picnic bench over-looking the lake. The place itself had two levels, with living spaces and giant flat screen TVs, so our family could be separate from each other if needed. The hot tub is huge and very well maintained. Loved it!! The kitchen has everything you need and plenty of towels and linens. The bunk bed on the first floor could hold 4 adults! It was huge and awesome! All in all, the place was great, well kept, nothing fancy, but perfect for the price. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the house itself isn't the best for small children. The stairs are very steep to the second floor and the second floor deck has a space under the railing that made me nervous that my walking 1 year old could fall through. There is also, no fenced in backyard if you wanted your dog outside for a period of time alone. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again.

Loved the house and the teenagers loved the hot tub
The house was everything I expected. The kitchen was fully stocked. There were 2 living spaces with 2 tv. For the 2 families that stayed there. The teenages likes the hot tub and the assortment of games to play. We would recommend this house.

"Great house, fantastic hot tub!"
"Great house, fantastic hot tub!"
I stayed here with a group of friends while skiing at Northstar. The house was clean, nicely furnished, and as expected from the pictures. The rental process was easy and the managers very helpful. Plenty of beds and parking spaces, and situated on a quiet street yet close to groceries. The main feature was the fantastic hot tub, which the managers had nicely set to be warm for our arrival - nothing beats stargazing in a hot tub under redwood trees, surrounded by snow!
