About this cabin rental
We are gratefully open for guests with all amenities intact! Including the views and the area. All roads leading to the cabin are in good shape. The historical Biltmore Estate is reopening on November 2nd with full Christmas decorations!
Known for its inspiring views, privacy and serene atmosphere, our cabin is the perfect getaway for the romantic at heart. Our Cozy and inviting home features a King Bed (stunning view can be seen from bed), Beautiful Wood Burning Stove, Reading Nook with a variety of books, Love Seat, and Flat Screen TV with a satellite program. Also a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your favorite meals, Hot Tub and gas grill on the totally private deck, which is partially covered for outdoor dining even in a gentle rain. If you time your trip right you may even witness a full moon coming up over the mountains and sailing across the sky! The bathroom provides a Ceramic Tile Walk In Shower, Old Amish Cabinet and a Copper Bowl Sink. We now have a fire pit with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing campfire. Just bring the marshmallows and hot dogs!
Treetop Mountain Vista is easily accessible with any kind of vehicle and is only a quarter mile from the main road. We are only minutes away from Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Pisgah, the Biltmore Estate and the Asheville Outlets Mall. Enjoy many varied activities as you explore white water rafting, kayaking, hiking, the Pisgah National Forest, fly fishing, hot air ballooning, mountain biking, climbing, community theater and the "Land of Waterfalls" in nearby Transylvania County. Take in Asheville for our world class restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, antique, vintage clothing and craft shops, parks, Pack Square, quirky tours and let's not forget the abundance of micro-breweries. Plenty of time for day trips?...check out the nearby mountain towns of Waynesville, Black Mountain, Brevard, Flat Rock and Chimney Rock. Or you may choose to bring your supplies, never leave the property and just enjoy relaxing or exploring the mountain behind the cabin. Many guests do just that!!! (Dogs especially love it because they can run off leash!)
If your visit to Asheville includes hiking or biking, then you’ve landed on the right pad! TTMV is perfectly situated within easy driving distance to many of the best trails in Western NC. We are only 4.5 miles from where the famous “Mountains to Sea Trail” intersects at MP 405 with the Blue Ridge Parkway and Hwy 151. (Also named Pisgah Highway, a very scenic road in it’s own right.) Go South on the Blue Ridge Parkway to “Looking Glass Rock”trail on the left, (a rigorous trail with a famous view) and go a little further to “Graveyard Fields” on the right. Keep going to Black Balsam Rd on the right (easy to miss) with trail heads and at the end is the “Art Loeb Trail” section 3, which is part of the “Shining Rock Wilderness Area”. (This writer has been on that trail several times but has yet to make it to Shining Rock). These are only suggestions and to learn more about these wonderful opportunities and more, go to sites such as “Hike WNC” and “Asheville Hiking Tours”. You do NOT need a four-wheel, SUV, Jeep or large truck to access any of these hikes. For less exhilarating hiking adventures, check out the NC Arboretum and Bent Creek Experimental Forest, both of which are only 20 minutes from this cabin. Or spend a day on the Biltmore Estate trails.

Absolutely beautiful views and such a cozy, beautifully decorated and clean cabin. We loved everything about it. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch and hot tub in the evening looking at the magnificent sky full of stars. Great location not far from downtown Ashville and the Biltmore.
Would definitely stay here again!

This cabin has such a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay here and we will come back for sure. We did get out to see some of the beautiful waterfalls and the Biltmore mansion. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven in the tucked away mountains.

If you’re looking for modern accommodations with luxury bells and whistles, keep searching. If you want a simple, clean, private property with breathtaking views of the mountains than this tree top villa will make a positive impact on your day! Easily accessible to any number of points of interest in and around Asheville with an average drive time of 20-30 minutes for downtown to 50-60 minutes for hikes or rafting outside of the immediate area. The driveway is steep, but you get used to it… thank goodness for the automatic transmission in the rental! Bring your skills if you have a stick shift. Oh and if you need anything, Nancy responds to messages before you have time to close your app. Would not hesitate to return!!!

It was as advertised. Out away from town and private. The view is beautiful and we completely enjoyed our stay. The last morning, there was a bear that came up the driveway and then walked into the trees.

This little cabin was located perfectly in what felt like a secluded area in Candler. The view from the room was so incredible! It was close enough to the city of Asheville and also close enough to the Blue Ridge parkway. We spent the first few days of our vacation hiking and visiting the Biltmore and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was nice to be able to come back and soak our sore muscles in the hot tub. We played pool one night! We loved these extra amenities. We went to the recommended restaurant Griffs! It was amazing! Bonus with the wash machine to Keep our clothes clean and suit cases tidy. Thank you so much for sharing this sweet lil cabin with us. We will return. Thank you!

This is THE spot.. it goes far beyond what you can sense from the photos. The smell of sweet honeysuckle as soon as you step out of the car. Cool mountain air, surrounded by nature. Cozy, quiet and peaceful, AMAZING view of Mt Pisgah from the deck. Also worth mentioning you are on the side of your own mountain, actually amongst the tree tops. Dozens of different types of bird songs in the morning and throughout the day. Many rose bushes and other flowers around the base of the cabin. And the hot tub is in the perfect spot 👌.. Possibly the best vacation location I've ever stayed in, definitely plan to return 🙏

It’s a five star rating but would like to give it a one star so that no one else would stay here and we could have it anytime we wanted. Quite a perfect place for a couple. Beautiful view too!

This is our 3rd time in a year and we live 6.5 hrs away! That should tell you how special this place is! Nancy is a fantastic, attentive host who shares her little bit of heaven. Wonderful views from everywhere! This is the best stocked VRBO that we have ever stayed in!

We loved every minute of staying at Nancy’s cabin from the moment we arrived! It’s beautiful Mountain View, it’s privacy, the hot tub, the pool table, the fire place and grill… just everything about it has us wanting to come back soon for longer. Usually we stay in something modern or an upscale hotel but this cabin is perfect, quiet, & had everything we needed.

We stayed here for 4 nights for our honeymoon. Great location, great views, very comfortable cabin and lots to do in the area. We were there in January and used it as a retreat to disconnect and relax. Perfect.

As parents of a young child, we VERY much needed this time away. We’re from the area, so we had plans of relaxation and dinner plans at our favorite restaurants, but found it hard to tear ourselves away from Nancy’s peaceful retreat. We ended up spending almost 100% of our time at the cabin and are already looking forward to a trip next year.
Some personal favorites - stargazing in the hot tub at night (the mountains block the light pollution from Asheville and we had amazing nighttime views!), the many windows for natural sunlight during the day, the comfortable king sized bed, plus what was lovingly referred to as “the snore bed” in the back room (for when I needed a *bit* more peace and quiet from my husband’s deep sleep lol), and the cute little stuffed raccoon and bear hanging out in the cabin (a cute touch)!
Thank you Nancy!

We like to go away to a mountain cabin with hot tub every winter. Nancy’s Treetop Cabin was wonderful! The pool table was an added plus. We had a great time.

Very cozy, clean, and private space. Enjoyed waking up to the huge windows displaying the sunrise over the mountain. Hot tub for 2 really makes the place special. We got to enjoy it with a bit of snow. Highly recommend.

We stayed here with our dogs for a weekend trip. My wife and I both work remotely, and that well for us because the WiFi was fast and strong!
We came from Ohio so it was a good 9 hour drive with stops. We arrived when it was dark and the short drive up the road where all the cabins are located, was a bit daunting. The driveway up to this cabin was even more daunting, seeing it for the first time in the moutain night. It wasnt that bad. We have an old small sedan, fwd and 200k on the clock - it made it up just fine every day. However, if you have a low profile car, it is a very steep driveway to consider the approach angle.
Our first night, we quickly knew, we did not want to leave! We arrived on a Wednesday, and were supposed to leave Sunday. Back home they were calling for a winter vortex of cold and we did not want to leave our beautiful mountain cabin and return to that. We reached out to Nancy and extended our stay until the following Wednesday. She was very easy to work with and accommodating for us.
We enjoyed our stay so much, but the biggest thing was this was our first vacation where we brought the dogs. The first day, we hiked up the mountain off the cabin, and our dogs had so much fun. One of our pups is over 10 years old, and he was running up the mountain like he was a puppy, and they both enjoyed being able to explore freely. We highly recommend Nancy's cabin and we cannot wait to come back!

The listing does not do this property justice, it is even better in person and the view is grand. This place is very nice, tucked away just far enough to enjoy the quiet stars at night but not too far away from good activities. Perfect for dogs. The host was incredible and insightful. Will definitely stay here again.
