DISAPPOINTED
This was our fourth vacation trip to the mid-coast Maine area. We thought we would take a chance at staying on a beach front property. I failed to realize that the location was directly on a major highway with very heavy car and truck traffic. Because the apartment has no air conditioning, it was necessary to keep windows open to allow for air circulation. It was impossible to shut out the heavy traffic noise which made sleeping very difficult until the wee hours of the morning. The heavy truck traffic resumed long before dawn again making it very difficult to sleep. The apartment has been very poorly maintained. Windows, screens and blinds were beyond filthy and in very poor condition, i.e. holes in screens, etc. They have probably not been cleaned in years. The bed in the master bedroom has a very poor quality mattress, which had a piece of foam rubber on the top. If you have ever slept on foam rubber, you know it is very hot. The second bedroom had bunk beds with mattresses only fit for light weight children. I had to replace light bulbs in other areas of the apartment by scavenging them from the room we were not using. The layout of the kitchen and pantry is not conducive to preparing a meal. The sink is in the pantry and the stove and refrigerator are in the kitchen. The noise problem could probably be fixed by the addition of one or two window air conditioners, allowing the windows to be closed, thereby blocking most of the heavy truck traffic noise. Some normal maintenance and a good cleaning of windows, screens, and blinds would go a long way to make this property better.
Also, there is no barbecue grill and I could not find a toaster. This was not an inexpensive property. The one saving grace is the location is six miles from Camden with many good restaurants and a good grocery store.

Great week in Maine
Accurate listing, great location and great communication with property manager. This location is perfectly situated for taking day trips north and south. My family and I enjoyed the property, the view and our experience! A+

This was a very low quality property with a huge price.
The keys were difficult to operate. We had to clean the bathroom before we used it. Operating the toilet was an issue until we worked with its insides. The kitchen was in two very unusable parts. Stove, refrigerator, and table in one room with no horizontal surfaces even close to the stove. Sink and prep area in a separate room. Piece of wood under sink rim tore my clothing. Stove was new. Washer and dryer new and worked well. Bed in master was old, cheap, and lumpy. They put a piece of foam on it. Outside living room window and master bedroom window was a very bright street light which was on all night. Blinds in living room and bedroom did nothing to keep the light out so both rooms were very hard to sleep in. Had to use the window facing the light to get any cool air into master bedroom to sleep. I ended up sleeping on the couch as the hide away bed and other beds were horrid. The other beds were children’s bunk beds. Adequate for children. Cooling was not well addressed. 3 cheap box fans. Definitely not adequate. One working ceiling fan in eating/ stove area of kitchen and one non working ceiling fan in master bedroom. Owner said it smelled funny when it was working so instead of repairing or replacing he just had a plate put over he switch. This was a horrid experience and you should not represent this property. Owner could not have cared less about our comfort. I went into hospital 8/2 with a fib and put my family into a hotel at a rate of 300.00 per day. It was too hot in the rental property for my family to remain there. What a nightmare! I am very angry about the whole experience. Maine and the people are lovely but these accommodations were the worst I have ever experienced and the price was horrific. It should have been $50.00 per day.

Lovely apartment, great view and great location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive, accommodating and welcoming. When we arrived, there was a bag of freshly ground coffee, a chocolate bar, and other refreshments. The view from the living room is amazing and the beach is very quaint. There is lots to see and do in the area -- cute little shops are just steps away from the apartment, and Camden and Belfast are only a short drive away.

Fantastic location and everything you need in one place!
We loved taking our kids right across the street to play on the beach, eat fresh seafood meals in the evenings at one of the little lobster shacks (also across the street!), and grabbing coffee in the mornings from the local roaster up the street. George was a true pleasure to deal with, and everything was clean and comfortable. Can't believe we lucked out in finding this spot!!

Great Value
Had a terrific stay in Lincolnville. Nice little town and the accommodations provided by George were ideal for me and my family. The little beach across the street was fun for my grandson both during high and low tide. The apartment met all of our needs and was very clean, cozy and comfortable. George was very responsive to questions before, during and after the stay. The entire process was very simple and affordable. Great stay!!

This is a great place to stay. The beach is located just across the street and you have beautiful views of the sunrise and the lobster boats. The restaurants are within walking distance and very convenient. We ate at Dots' in the mornings and the Lobster Pound one evening. Both were very good. We spent a lot of our time in Acadia National Park. The drive to that area was beautiful. Dotted with small New England towns and beautiful old homes. The owner of the apartment was very helpful and attentive to all our needs. Coming from Georgia and some pretty warm temperatures, I was concerned about the lack of air conditioning but the evening temperatures were cool and daytime temperatures were low eighty degrees and always a breeze . We even got a message from Mr. Pinkham to turn on the heat one evening when the temperature dropped into the fifties. I traveled there with my 21 year old grandson and 19 year old granddaughter and my 45 year old son. There was plenty to see and do for all of us young and old. Thank you to the owner, George Pinkham for allowing us to stay in your vacation rental.

Incredible Apartment Right at Lincolnville Beach
You know you've stayed somewhere truly special when you keep thinking about it, talking about it, and missing it days after you've left. The Lincolnville Beach apartment is a perfect vacation retreat. The apartment is quite spacious, light and bright, beautifully decorated, and well appointed with a full kitchen, satellite TV, and sound system. Plus the view is incredible. We loved looking out from the large windows in the living room to watch the sun rising over the ocean each day. We enjoyed the cute little beach store 2 doors down that sells breakfast sandwiches, subs, ice cream, coffee, etc. And you can’t beat being able to walk to restaurants and coffee shops so close by. The beach itself is amazing—especially at low tide. My 3-year old had a blast finding hermit crabs and starfish amongst the rocks. The owner George was so helpful answering questions over the phone and email leading up to our arrival. We were very sad to leave the apartment and Lincolnville Beach after our wonderful week!

Wonderful week in Maine!
One of our best Maine vacations was just spent in Lincolnville Beach. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had a kitchen stocked with everything we needed. With four restaurants within walking distance we had lots of food choices. Every morning we watched the sunrise on the bay from the large living room window-or by enjoying morning coffee on the benches at the public beach across the street. Days were packed full of site seeing at Acadia National Park, nearby Camden, miles of antiquing and shopping and a day trip to Reid State Park. Top it all off with a week of perfect weather and we had such trouble leaving for home!

Perfect Location at Lincolnville Beach
Guy and I went up to Lincolnville Beach for a long weekend. What a glorious place! As soon as I walked into the apartment I was just filled with "WOW"! Straight ahead of me was a huge picture window framing the Penobscot Bay waters twinkling in the sunlight and a lovely beach just steps from the front door. I have never had the opportunity to stay so close to the water. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, light and airy with lovely furnishings and very tastefully decorated. I ran downstairs to tell Guy, hurry up and check out this great place! I decided I never wanted to leave!
The evening we arrived we had a great dinner at the Whales Tooth Restaurant across the street but every other evening we decided to cook our meals right there in the apartment. The kitchen had everything you could need readily available and the dining room is lovely and very comfortable. We shopped at the nearby Hannafords and of course stopped at Cellardoor Winery. We got fresh seafood in Camden and took picnic lunches with us and explored Islesboro after a short ferry ride. The historical society of Islesboro has a really interesting exhibit hi-lighting the history of the development of the island. We also explored Camden, Rockport and Rockland to our south and Belfast to our north.
If you are going to Maine you really should stay at this apartment in Lincolnville Beach! There are so many really great activities nearby and the sheer beauty of the Mid-Maine Coast to admire and soak in. The owners were WONDERFUL to work with and the neighbors were helpful and friendly. We will absolutely go back!

Jimmy. Orange County New York
For starters, writing about what I feel when in Lincolnville, and the Mid Coast in general is tough. I have been coming to Lincolnville for a few years now, always staying right on the beach. Each morning I wake with the sun, and or the morning fog. Walk out to the sand, and breathe easy. So many local shops and restaurants with in walking distance. From the Whales tooth pub for some grub, or a small walk up Coastal route 1 to Green Tree Coffee and Tea. There is never a day that cannot be filled with amazing mini adventures. Hiking, wine tasting, antique malls, and THE PEOPLE make Lincolnville, and Maine a place to return to every year.
Myself and my daughter have fallen in love with the area, and we plan to move away from the hustle and bustle of New York soon enough. We know right where we are going!
I highly recommend the apartment, it has updated and new amenities, and the neighbors are amazing and always have a minute to say hello and point you to new sites and ways to pass your time.

A true gem on the coast
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in this apartment this past fall with 2 other friends. It was a truly wonderful experience. The Pinkhams were wonderful to deal with and provided all the necessities of home. The breathtaking view of Penobscot bay through the front picture window, the gorgeous sunrises and watching the lobster boats and the ferry come and go was truly magical. There was fantastic dining, available a short walk from the front door, at the Whales tooth pub. With a warm and inviting atmosphere and friendly courteous owners and staff. We walked the beach and saw many kids looking for "treasures". It was a short ride to Camden, a great little shopping village. We biked Mount Battie and hiked, Mount Magunticook then finished off the day at the Cellar Door winery. We would highly recommend this property for families of all stages. It was a place where you could be constantly busy, or do nothing at all and have a wonderful time. We look forward to going back again and again.
