We absolutely loved it. It was great. The location is really good, the host speaks English perfectly which is quite rare and it was very helpful. Thank you

Everything was great! Thank you very much 😊

Excellent location, Playa del Norte reachable in 10’ walk, large room, toiletries, drinking water and coffee available in the common areas, clear and detailed instructions from the staff
Shampoo & conditioner could have been better (had a foamy texture, barely making foam)

Perfect central location.
If you don’t rent a golf cart it’s a close walk to everything you need downtown!
The pool was a bit cold, but that’s perfect for hot days!

Large room, excellent location, safety box, good shower. Room was ready before check in time.
Mattress too soft, maybe a bit old. We didn’t like the way the host welcomed us. Not very friendly. Also, she gave us a room next to the laundry (noisy at 7am) and out the window there was construction going on.

The pool is too small

המקום נקי מאוד, מארחת עזרה בכל שאלה ובעיה,מיקום טוב קרוב למרכז.
באנו עם מזוודות גדולות היינו צריכים להעלות אותן ואין מעלית.

The room was wide and the mattress was very comfortable. Beautiful swimming pool on the top of the facility.
There were some ants in the bathroom. At the check in, we read few weird rules such as to pay a fee in case you stain the towels proportionally to their size. I guess it can happen during a stay... There isn’t a reception and you see the host only at your arrival, so the communications are not immediate. It’s not a fault of Casa Barco but Isla Mujeres is terrible and you overpay everything for nothing, no beauty on this island. It’s very hard to enjoy the sea, it seems to be in a mall with thousands and thousands of boats and people everywhere. We were very disappointed to have spent the last three days of our holiday in Isla Mujeres.

Overall I enjoyed our stay at casa barco. It was close to the ferry, a pretty comfortable room. It does have hostel vibes in a way (shared fridge). I kind of would have liked to have a separate mini bar fridge as an option.
8.0 / 10.0
The room was spacious and very clean, there was a common kitchen with cleaned appliances and a very well organized fridge. We had breakfast there and it helped saving some money as the island is not cheap. The bathroom was also very spacious.
Some things could be improved eg putting another trash bin in the room, we only had it in the bathroom. Also it was a but hard to dry our stuff as we had no balcony and in rainy season everything gets very humid

This property is not only gorgeous, but located in a great area literally a block away from Hidalgo street which literally made our trip. Hidalgo street is where there are tons of shops, bars and restaurants and it goes all the way to north beach which is gorgeous. We felt so safe the entire stay and loved that we could walk anywhere. If you needed a scooter of golf cart rental they were everywhere and right out your doorstep. Ferry is literally a three minute walk to the property.
The property itself was grand. There is a community kitchen and common area downstairs with fresh water which we used daily to fill up our water bottles. The captains quarters is where we stayed and that is located one more floor up on the same floor as the small gorgeous pool! The captains quarters is absolutely STUNNING. It’s a multi level loft with a small fridge and microwave, beautiful rain shower and GREAT AC. It was quiet and honestly we loved hanging out in our room and at the pool when we were back at our place. Honestly, we never saw anyone else at the pool and we loved having it to ourselves!
This place was a great stay and we absolutely will coming back again to enjoy the captains quarters!!! 10/10
Nothing. We loved everything.

The location was 1 block from the ferry and all the shops and just a few easy blocks away from tons of wonderful restaurants. The suite was huge, comfortable and the AC was fantastic. The manager was welcoming and very helpful. We were provided bottled water for drinking and brushing our teeth. We had a mini fridge in our room and access to a full kitchen. It would have been comfortable enough to live there for months at a time. The room had cable and there were a few channels that even had English programs including HBO.
The sea view was not as beautiful as I imagined. There were roof tops between us and the sea view and the sea view was of the port. It did entertain us watching boats coming in and out all day. But it wasn't a sunset type view. However, two blocks in the opposite direction, we found the sunset views we were dreaming of.

Location was great, availability of clean drinking water was a bonus, and the room we had was clean. Super easy to communicate via WhatsApp, and having a pool to cool off in at night was a bonus!
The sheets were a bit scratchy, but the bed was comfortable. The tv lacks the ability to put english subtitles on, though. Lastly, some of the antique looking items in our room looked like they hadn't been dusted/cleaned in a long time (i.e. the lamps near our bed)

Very clean, quite good location and the swimming pool on the roof was a plus
No towels for the pool and not allowed to take the room towels. No table in the pool area and no sunbeds that would enable to chill, only a couple of chairs.

The property is well maintained and clean. The location where it's situated is just a 2-min walk from the ferry terminal and a 10-min walk from Playa Norte and all the happening bars/restaurants. The staff was nice, great at communication. They offered discounts at a restaurant that's part of the group and also for scooter/golf-cart rental.
There is no elevator in the building, so, if you have a heavy bag/suitcase, it could be a bit challenging to carry it up the stairs.

In a quiet location, comfortable, clean accommodation. Helpful staff - Darwin welcomed us.
A minor problem with the WC.

Location is perfect, just a couple of blocks away from the ferry and the main street where you can take a bus to anywhere on the island.
I think i got the less nice room of all of them, but it was OK, comfortable and with everything we needed.

Great location, 3 min walk from the port, 10 min from Playa Norte, a min walk from the beatiful waterfront walk, near golf carts rentals, many caffes and restaurants, and more authentic and less commercialised than at the area of Playa Norte itself. Also great service, wonderful design and very clean!

rooms are clean but very noisy, there is a restaurant that has live music and when you re in your room, there is no isolation. it is like you re in the party when you want to sleep it is horrible
very noisy, staff are not nice , they were very impolite.
Before booking we asked if our room will be noisy and they said no, we asked them to show us they didn’t want and we ended up being on the noisiest hotel/room in Tulum , if you want some rest, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

Great location, house was very well decorated too! Super quiet for the location, slept soundly. The room was very clean and nice (the bed was super big and super comfortable!) The host was ready for questions and very happy to help. I loved having access to a kitchen (nice to have free coffee and water :-) and fridge. Superb stay, would highly recommend.
nothing really

Our 3 days stay went well, there is no reception but someone was expecting us so we didn't have to wait. They provided us with their WhatsApp so it was easy to communicate and to ask when we had questions. The location of this hotel is just perfect, literally a minute walk from the boat terminal. The theme is lovely and our room was spacious and very clean. Small balcony with a street view but the street was very quiet at night. We had a shared kitchen with other guests but we barely saw anyone even if the hotel was fully booked, so it was Peaceful. The kitchen was very well equipped with a table and a bar where your can sit.
Overall our experience was great.
Our room (Chef room) had a system where you have to turn on a switch 15 minutes before showering so the water gets hot. So if you are in a rush you'd take a cold shower which was ok because the weather was already hot. This wasn't very big of an issue, just a bit inconvenient so we are sharing it.

Cleanliness, quiet, close proximity to ferry.
The 21 steps up to the rooms, but not a deal breaker. Staff carried bags up for us. Muchas Gracies!

The place is very nice. One can see the owner goes a long way to take care of it. The rooms were amazingly clean and the staff very helpful and friendly!
Nothing at all.
