The apartment was big, very clean and nicely decorated. Two bathrooms are perfect for 4 people. The staff is welcoming and very nice. The hotel has a deal with the beach club just in front of the building and you can go there for free, it's a great treat. I would definitely recommend it!

amazing staff, cool location, good breakfast and great beds.

A spacious well decorated room. We spent nine nine nights comfortably. Good quality coffee and filtered water are provided. Shower gel, shampoo & conditioner are also provided. The bed was comfortable.
The staff are really friendly and very helpful.
Azul Maya is in a fairly quiet location, but convenient for access to most places.
The bus does a circular route & stops directly outside hotel access road to Punta Sur (otherwise a 10/15 min walk) Playa Norte & ferry terminals all 1usd. If you cross the road, turn left and turn almost immediately right, walk a few minutes, you are on the Caribbean Coastline.
Breakfast is provided at Kin Ha across the path or Mayan Beach Club (at Playa Norte) restaurants
You can have almost any main breakfast dish, and a basic juice like orange or American coffee. ( Latte, fancier juice you pay for it). The breakfast lasted us all day and most were good.
You can use the sunbeds at both places and when we stayed it cost a min 300peso each, which you can use against drink or food.
This place has a lot to recommend it
There were a few basic utensils missing in the kitchen that could make life easier, such as a fruit knife, microwave dish.
Some small maintenance tasks needed doing, our shower holder was broken, so we needed to do hand-held showers. We could have used the rain shower but it was limescaled and went in most directions, not us.
The hairdryer sounded like a rocket launch.
No English TV channels not even news.
The upstairs hotel doing their pressure washing at 7am!

We had a lovely stay at Casa Azul. It’s on the southern part of the island which is much chiller than the north. We loved the quiet in the evenings. They provide a “membership” to two beach clubs which is outstanding!
Our last night was torrential downpour rain and the bathroom sink area did have some water issues.

The breakfast was awesome, Kin ha was a nice location to start the day with a good breakfast looking into the ocean.
The room and location were good, a outside space like the rooftop pool area that there is no access to would be awesome, it would give the opportunity to cool off at the location rather than having to go to kin ha, don’t get me wrong, having access to the ocean through kin ha is great but there’s a pool that is not available to the guests.
The room was a nice size, the bedrooms were great. But the shower was probably the worst shower I’d ever stepped into, it was very difficult to get the shampoo rinsed off, other than that it was all good.

The room was big. Really friendly staff. They will help you with any request you have. Our airconditioning was broken and they immediately gave us an other room!

Our motel was across the street from Kin-Ha beach club. If you have children this is the place for you as the pool is full of 'em. No sandy beach, but a dock to swim from and chairs to sit out on (if available). Food was decent, and since breakfast was included in our daily rate we felt obliged to eat here once. This motel also shares beach access with Mayan Beach Club on the Northern point of the Isla, and breakfast was also included at that club too. We did go there one morning and since it was such a busy touristy spot we made sure to get our reservation in with our waiter for a couple of chairs on the beach.
The room itself is very basic and stark inside, and the bed was fine. Quiet location, though it's above the street so there is some of that noise during the day. We did not linger in the room very much.
The room felt very dark and cavelike. The shower was the absolute worst where it only had enough hot water for 5 minutes and they had an overhead rain head that drizzled down with barely any pressure. Never once felt like I had a decent clean shower. There was no reason to be at this location, so many other options available on the island for far better prices and amenities. There was a photo on TripAdvisor of a blue pool, that is actually a private residence above the motel, no guests are allowed there you must use the public pool across the street at Kin-Ha. Very loud at that beach club, not at all relaxing.

Amazing location, absolutely wonderful staff, delicious breakfasts, use of both Kin Ha and Mayan beach clubs. Damian at the front desk went above and beyond to help us the night we arrived and throughout our stay— Mexican hospitality at its very best! We had a fabulous stay and can’t recommend it highly enough!
No complaints at all!

Damian was very, very nice and helpful. They waited for us and we arrived a bit late due to waiting time and bad weather. He gave us very good tips and also how to get to playa del carmen much cheaper. We really appreciated his helpfulness and kindness.
The room itself was quite spacious and nice, the bed was comfy and it was literally next to the water. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather but I'm sure it's amazing when it's sunny!
The room itself was nice but it was quite noisy and we had a water sound, kind of like someone swimming in a pool quite long into the night. It was a bit disturbing.
Also the bathroom appliances were very old and rusty... Could be replaced ! On our last day we didn't have water in the morning and it only came back by 11am when we needed to check out. That was quite unfortunate as we couldn't even have a shower. The breakfast was served at the restaurant of the other hotel which was nice, however we didn't really get much of that breakfast and apparently guests from the other hotel received a juice and a coffee whereas we only had one choice. quite strange to make that differentiation.
Overall although the hospitality was really spot on and the room was spacious, we found it very overpriced for what we got. It was literally just a room with an outdated bathroom.

Adrian from the front desk was very nice and helpful. Kin Ha is just across the street and as a guest of the hotel you get free entrance.
The room was not very clean, and unfortunately we didn’t have hot water both of the nights. The staff did show as in our last morning that there were hot water, but for some reason at the evenings it didn’t work.

Pretty much everything was great about our stay. The room was cute, staff was helpful and friendly, and the access to the nearby club was fun to use their pool, deck and access to the ocean.
The road down to the hotel is in pretty bad shape and we were nervous to drive our golf cart down. But it made it just fine.

The rooms are amazing, Damian is a wonderful concierge, he made us feel so welcome. The location is very near the beach through a beach club where breakfast is also served. There are other beach access options too and the ruins of the goddess ixchel are beautiful and a lovely early morning walk (aboit 20 minutes) . This was my favourite hotel during our road trip. Far from fhe center but great area, very peaceful.
There was really nothing that I didn't lijr about this place

We really enjoyed our stay in Casa Azul Maja! The stuff was very kind, helpful and professional! Room had nice interior design, was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the temperature was just perfect ! Also we loved the big ceramic bottle with drinking water. The beach just near the hotel was like paradise! It was very peaceful and gorgeous like Maldives! We definitely want to return to this place! Thank you for amazing experience!
We did not find a place where we can hang our wet swimsuitsfor so they could dry out, but it's a minor issue.

The best part of my stay at Casa Azul Maya was the staff. Their helpfulness, kindness, and respectfulness, were super awesome! I forgot two important medications back in the states. One was not even available on the island. They contacted a local doctor who arranged to have the medication brought in from Cancun at a very reasonable price. They arranged to have a golf cart rental brought to me so I didn't have to go downtown and wait in a line. I could go on and on. Every single day they did something great for me. Their arrangement with the Kin Ha Beach Club across the street is super-convenient place to eat a free breakfast and swim. The other breakfast/swimming option is the Mayan Beach Club downtown. Do it!!! The location of the Mayan Beach Club on Playa Norte is stunning, the food amazing and I was made to feel very welcome. But Your Staff, especially Damian, Angel, and Leslie are the real stars of Casa Azul Maya. The value for what I paid was extraordinary. Will certainly stay again and refer my friends going to Isla Mujeres. The location is on the Southwest coast of the Island, comfortably away from the noise and craziness of downtown, but just a short golf cart away from all that and a minute or two from the beautiful Punta Sur beach. Can't say enough good things about this place! Loved it!
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. The air conditioning was great, it was super clean and the staff go out of their way to make sure everything you need is available to you. Get WhatsApp. That is the easiest way to communicate for free on the island.

I was allowed to leave our luggage in one of the rooms that was being cleaned for us because we were early for our reservation. Staff was super nice and helpful, to include the wrist bands for all the activities for the kids. Breakfast was delicious and good portions.
I would have liked a room closer to my family since we booked together, but everything was great.

The room was HUGE, very comfortable beds, huge shower, facilities are functional and working properly.
Access to the nearest beach which is beautiful, and facilities, felt like a privilege.
The staff was very responsive, and helpful, very welcoming.
Specifically Damian was very helpful, suggesting us to go to nice places nearby.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Best stay.

The staff was awesome and very helpful. The amenities where fantastic and breakfast at Kin Ha was very good.
The only thing I did not like was the up and down hills to and from Kin Ha and up to the main street. I took my elderly mom so it was difficult for her to walk up and down.
5.0
Nice little friendly hotel.
Rooms were very large and with lovely details.
Only bad thing in the room: You had to hold the shower head as there was nowhere to hung it.
Breakfast was at the beachclub at the other side of the road, good choice of food included with an amazing view. ( although we had to wait 40 min to be served!)
Location-it is really quiet far away from the northern caos
They told us we had access to the beach club for the full day but:
On The first day it was booked for a private party from 2pm so we couldn't stay.
And the second day they told us all the sunbeds were already booked for a private group so we had to sit on chairs ( we were there at 9 am and when we left at 11 there were still nobody using the sunbeds)
At this point is much better if you book somewhere cheaper and pay for the beach club you want separatly.
Unfortunately not worth for money.
