Wonderfully appointed home with a view that takes ones breath away! We had a wonderful stay, and did day trips to the surrounding attractions. My friends from college were with us, and a mutual friend from Mass, so it was a catch-up trip, as well as an unwind and explore adventure. Thanks, Jennifer, for your hospitality and for sharing your little piece of paradise.

The views are outstanding from this home and the home owner was easy to work with. She contacted us to make sure we did not need anything and was friendly. The cleaning crew even left flowers for our arrival. Bring your binoculars to watch the seals each day. Take a short walk to marina to enjoy the views there too. Acadia is an hour away but worth it to stay in a quiet safe neighborhood with these wonder views. The home is clean and well stocked. Would recommend it 100%

The location of this property is everything. First, you couldn’t ask for more beautiful views. Watch the Lobster boats check pots from the deck! Second, it’s a great starting off point for everything you want to do. We went to Bar Harbor, Acadia, Stonington, Bangor, and Bass Harbor during our stay. All were a beautiful drive and it was such a treat to come home to our quiet and serene house each evening. We absolutely loved it here.

The view alone is 10 stars! My husband and I and my two adult children and our dog stayed here in mid September. We loved it! The beginning of the week was warm and we swam in the water in front of the house. We saw seals in the distance every day and the Lobstermen came every few days to check thier traps. There is a humming bird feeder hanging off the deck and I would sit in the morning on the deck and watch them while drinking my coffee. Amazing! Later in the week it got cool and we had a cozy fire in the wood burning stove each night. The beds were so comfortable, we all slept incredibly well. It is about an hour's drive from Bar Harbor as an fyi. We loved staying here!

My wife and I had a great, relaxing stay! Spent a lot of time on the deck watching the seals fish in the bay most evenings. It was also an easy drive to hiking in Acadia. The house was very well kept and had all the amenities we needed. We highly recommend it and look forward to coming back!

What a special place! It is so quiet and has fantastic views! The house has everything you need to sit back, sip, cook a seafood meal and enjoy the view & area. The deck has plenty of seating as well as the inside too. The kitchen has every pot/pan, utensil you could need to cook a meal. The bed was very comfy & there were plenty of towels & hot water. Thank you Jennifer for offering your home to us!

Everything about this home worked well for our family of four adults. We drove to Acadia everyday for 50 minutes. Loved looking out at the bay every morning and was lucky enough to see porpoises one morning. The only complaint I would have is there is no dishwasher; however, we did not make any dinner meals so it wasn’t that big of an issue for us.

After a two year absence from our favorite state, we made it back to Maine and savored a much-needed respite at Beachwalk. This property is lovely with all of the right touches for a great relaxing stay—clean and comfortable, beautiful views, well-stocked kitchen, bookshelves and games, and access to many of our favorite spots. The only downside—we only stayed for a week. We loved it and can’t wait to return!

We just spent the last week at The Beachwalk and literally can’t wait to go back! The house has everything that you need (and more!), is very clean, bright, airy - the list goes on. My husband, two children (4&5) and dog thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Although it is a little bit of a trek from Acadia (where we spent most of our days), it was nice to be able to come home to such a serene surrounding. The sunsets off the deck and on the local beaches were amazing. Jennifer was a great host. Thank you again!

We had a fantastic time at Jennifer's gorgeous home. It was a perfect launching pad for doing everything and nothing at all; we were able to bike, hike, kayak, and/or swim each day - and we were also able to spend hours relaxing on the huge deck, reading books and enjoying meals prepared on the gas grill. The kitchen is fully stocked with every tool or pan you could possibly need, and we appreciated the many comfortable seating/sleeping options throughout the house. Sorrento provided exactly the kind of quiet, peaceful atmosphere we were looking for, and we enjoyed walking the town roads each morning/evening. We hope to return sometime soon!

My family and I stayed for 10 days in this wonderful home right by the ocean. The location was perfect as it was close enough to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor, but it also felt secluded and private. The rooms were spacious and the living/kitchen space was huge! We walked around the neighborhood every morning and watched the sun set almost every night. Jennifer was super communicative with me and even assured me that they had all the pots and pans for cooking lobster and making cupcakes for our son's birthday. Although we never met her in person, she made us feel very comfortable staying in her home. The only thing I would mention is that there was a little confusion around which shore/beach we were allowed to use. (It's not the one you can visibly see from the deck. So definitely check with Jennifer on this.) But other than that we had an amazing stay and highly recommend this place to others looking for a real Maine getaway. It was absolutely perfect for us! Thanks again Jennifer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beachwalk. It is a wonderful cottage in a fantastic location. We were able to walk the beach area during low tide – collecting shells, rocks and sea glass. It was so peaceful in the evenings to relax and watch the sunsets. There are 3 sliding glass doors with awesome views of the harbor. The two upstairs bedrooms also have views of the harbor. The beds were all very comfortable. Upstairs there is a king in the master and a queen & twin in the other bedroom. The downstairs bedroom has a queen with a large closet. There are lots of books available to read and an extensive variety of games. We took advantage of the central location to take day trips to the Schoonic area, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Bank, Bangor and Bucksport, each night coming home to the peace and quiet of Sorrento. We didn’t get to hike any trails, but did take a couple of walks around Sorrento, which has many wonderful homes. We highly recommend Beachwalk for the perfect Maine getaway.
