Great escape
This was a great choice for our family during our trip to Portland. The location was great, close enough to Portland but far away so that the space was very spacious. The house is beautiful and in great condition, with a beautiful view. The owner is very helpful and responsive. My family all enjoyed staying there, I highly recommend it.

Fabulous place for anyone
Steps from the ocean this well appointed house was a paradise for our family. The fenced in back yard was perfect for toddler grandson. With the beautiful flowers, all of us enjoyed great times on the deck grilling and enjoying the view. There is plenty of room for all ages to get a little privacy. You not only can walk to the beach, but also to a wonderful restaurant and ice cream shop. There is plenty to see in the area. We will go back again definitely!!!

We all wish we were still there!
We had a small family reunion, of sorts, with 3 families coming from all different parts of the U.S. What a wonderful surprise, when we pulled up to the house. It’s just as beautiful as the pictures. And they have done sooo many updates, to make the home clean, cozy and bright inside. This truly is a beautiful 2-story. The home is immaculate. The beds and bedding are so comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed so that you don’t need to bring anything but food. I actually brought wine glasses, just in case, there were none. Oh, I promise you, anything and everything you’d ever want to prepare a meal, and set up a table is there for your use. So appreciated that. And you can see the ocean from the dining table, the couch and the windows upstairs. Wish I could post pictures. It’s truly heaven. Crescent Beach is just a short walk down the street, and what a wonderful beach it is. You will find people walking and jogging every day. The Good Table Restaurant, just down the main street, was 'delish'. A must do! We want to buy the house…..that’s how much we loved it. I think that pretty much sums it up. You won’t be disappointed. Much thanks to the owners for making this a worry free trip. They are wonderful!

Spectacular Family Beach House!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cape Elizabeth! This home is lovely-exactly as describes with all amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient. We loved walking the beach each morning and napping in a beach chair in the sun in the afternoon. The house is so conveniently located that we were able to retreat for afternoon cocktails without disrupting our beach time. We highly recommend this home to anyone seeking a mellow, quiet and laid back experience. Many thanks!

Ideal rental for family and friends
My wife and I, our three children and their godparents enjoyed our week in Maine at Richmond Terrace immensely. The owners were very helpful before our arrival, answering our queries to ensure our satisfaction and comfort during our stay. The house was charming and spacious, fully-equipped to meet our needs, and secure. The close proximity to beautiful Crescent Beach allowed for easy management of nap times for some while others continued their beach-combing for shells. Quiet and lovely neighbourhood and a short distance from grocery stores, farms for seasonal fresh produce, coffee and ice cream shop and the city of Portland with its Wharf District. It is a lovely place that is hard to leave!

Just Perfect!
We just spent an incredible week at your home! The house is immaculate and had everything we needed. We are a family of four with 2 kids, ages 8 & 11. It rained the first two days but the kids were very happy with the puzzles and games available (and the wifi!). We were very pleased with the quick walk to the beach. The house is in a perfect location to make trips to Freeport, Portland and its amazing restaurants, and all the local Cape Elizabeth attractions. (Don't forget to go to The Lobster Shack!) Relaxing at the end of the day, watching the kids play in the backyard, my husband grilling, and both of us enjoying some local brews, and then falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean? Pure heaven! Can we just move in? Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home. We hope to do it again some day.

sea-lovers from upstate NY
Our stay at Richmond Terrace was delightful and relaxing. There was easy beach access, and the beach was great for walking and wading. The property was clean and well-maintained, and accurately described in the photos. The fenced in yard gave privacy, and the ocean view from the deck was gorgeous. The owners were most helpful, both before our arrival and during the week when we had questions. Bedrooms were quite spacious and with windows open we could hear the surf. We had front row seats for the 6000 + participants in the Maine Beach to Beacon Marathon on Aug. 3 who went right past the end of Richmond Terrace. Nearby Kettle Cove Park has a wonderful, though small beach with superb views. Kettle Cove Ice Cream stand is a must, as well as the Lobster Shack with good food and awesome ocean views. We surely hope to return to this location for our Maine summer getaways!

Vacationing in Maine
As I have an extremely busy time in Japan, the time my wife and I spent at this house was very refreshing. Everything two of us would need for total living was there, and we could even invite a friend and his family from Japan and another family who just moved to Boston from Japan. We had a great time having a barbecue in the yard with them
My wife and I have visited Maine many times and know the area. It was very convenient to drive around and visit people we had known in Maine.
We would like to rent this house next year again and invite more friends from Japan during our stay and show them how confortable this house is and how beautiful place Maine is!

Family comfort
We came to Cape Elizabeth with family members to attend a wedding. This was the perfect place for us to stay. Just a short walk to the beach, wonderful views and a comforting home. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. My only suggestion would be more hooks for hanging wet towels, otherwise, it was perfect.

Perfect Maine Getaway
My family and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing New England retreat to unwind and enjoy some sun and sand, and were happy to find it here. The house was just as described and impeccably clean upon our arrival and we found the accommodations very comfortable and ideal for our family of four. I enjoyed early morning runs through neighborhoods in the town and along Crescent Beach, including one of its forested trails. Crescent Beach was very family-friendly with breathtaking views and never too crowded. We met some neighbors on the beach who were very helpful with recommendations for local eats and attractions for the kids...including a nearby farm within walking distance from the house, where the kids picked their own strawberries. A huge hit! We also loved walking just up the road to get lobster rolls and ice cream. I'd recommend this home to our friends with children and also to couples looking to get away. We had a fantastic time and look forward to returning next summer.

Great family getaway
Our family really enjoyed our stay! Kids had a great time at beach and going to parks nearby. Crescent beach was beautiful. Really liked having beach within walking distance. I also loved waking up and sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee and looking at the ocean. We also went to see the lighthouse at fort williams state park, which has nice picnic areas and a playground. Great house, had everything we needed. We plan on coming again next year!
