Did not use inn dining option, more menu choices needed

The location since it was close to Portland & access to the beach was great!
More spa amenities for couples, add a jacuzzi, & room service cleaning was not always prompt to clean.

Luxury room with extra welcoming touches; boardwalk to the beach; couches and fire rings on the deck at night; delicious breakfast and very friendly and accommodating staff. A new favorite, worth the extra expense!

Location -off the beaten path, on the water, quiet, beautiful! Everything we needed was there - you thought of everything! It was just enough to feel cared for, luxurious, comfortable, but not too much that it felt crowded, stuffy or too fancy. The suite was spacious and lovely. I can't believe we could have our dog - that was soo great! The beds were suuper comfy, and there was plenty of hot water - even thought all 5 of us took long hot showers or baths.
Really, it is hard to find a flaw. It was a bit pricey for the off season. We were there for one night after Thanksgiving and it was almost $700 all told. We didn't have much a view (502)- which I could have been ok with for less $. Silly little issues were - Shower gel didn't come out, microwave plate was too big for the microwave, tub didn't hold water (but that was taken care of with a call!).

The breakfast was superb! Great Maine bacon, fresh Maine farm eggs, wonderful English muffins and really good coffee ... lots of attention to detail there ...
In terms of staffing, all staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming ... my husband Daniel and I found the inn to be enormously LGBTQI friendly ... and kudos for you for that
How you can you improve on perfection? Nothing to say here ...

We arrived early & we were told our room was not ready. That was a little disappointing, but it gave us a chance to explore the area. So it was fine. The service, from front desk to wait staff was very friendly & professional. The dinners were wonderful & very unique! You knew the menu was very thought out! Kudos to the chefs! Breakfast was equally delicious, plentiful & wonderful! The location! Stunning! A super quick walk to Crescent Beach, which was so lovely! The grounds were just as stunning. The next time we visit here it will be for longer than 3 nights!
Would have been convenient to have an ice machine on the floor, or nearby. Although the ice was brought to us quickly, it took a little planning.

I liked the bed and the grounds.
It was extraordinarily expensive and given what we paid, the staff was not at all accommodating. We asked for a late check out of 1pm. Check in is 4pm so the hotel would still have 3 hours to clean the room. They would not accommodate this request. I found it amazing given what we paid. It just takes a good manager a little effort to ensure such requests can be met. Instead, they give you a gift bag full of salty junk food. When we checked in we had to wait a bit for our room. Perfectly acceptable as we arrived 3:30 when check-in is 4pm (Though 4pm is rather late). We grabbed a drink from the bar as we waited for room to be finished. We tried to sit outside at a table in the shade but were told we could not as that was only for people eating lunch. It was 3:30! Chances of people coming to use that table were slim to none. We were offered seats out on the lawn in direct sun. It was 85 and humid. Again, it just seemed petty of the staff to not accommodate these small requests because they were more interested in additional revenue from a potential lunch customer. In short, a true sign of good hospitality management is not the personalized letter in the room on arrival that gets printed off a mailing list. It is being able to respond to customer needs in the moment, being creative, a little flexible and not making the guest feel like you have moved on to the next paying person.

Very dog friendly, my pup was allowed to sit with me for dinner in the lounge. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. Everyone was exceptionally nice. The grounds and beach were beautiful.
I will say that my pup wasn't used to all of the hotel sounds, so he may not have had the most relaxing stay.
