This place was perfect for a long weekend exploring Leadville with my husband and cat. The loft had everything we needed. The only thing I could ask for is some lighting to help with going up and downstairs at night.

We stayed in this loft apartment for 2 nights. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We chose this place based on its location to town and it worked out beautifully for us! We could walk easily to downtown Leadville's main businesses very easily. Plus - the views from the apartment were fabulous. From the top of the mansion, we marveled at the top of the Rockies!

A lot of stairs to get to the unit. But once there is is quiet and has some good views of the surrounding mountains. Easy walk to the main street of town.

Perfect size space, had everything I needed, but nothing excessive. Enough room to park, cute neighborhood!

The location was good. The roof place was so, so. They have a heating system very poor. The shower is really small. I can't handle all my days there and ended stay in the regular hotel.

Really great location in a modest residential area. I had a lot of difficulty finding it in the dark, no signage or building numbers visible. It's a cute little loft, comfortable, but lacking in maintenance. Some of the windows appear to date from the original 19-th century construction, the newest are mid-20th century and falling apart, which would make for a drafty, cold place in a winter storm. The shower dribbles feebly. Communication from host was excellent.

Loved the old, historic aspect of the Loft. Beautiful views from the windows. Walk to the main street shopping/coffee/restaurants was 1/2 block. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice lodging,
The property was nice. It was heated quite warm when we arrived and we had to turn down the heat and open it up to cool it down enough to be comfortable. We didn't get to stay the second night due to altitude sickness and had to head to lower elevation. But very much liked the accommodations.

The Loft on top of The Governor's Mansion was a perfect meeting place for two "old" friends who first knew each other when we worked at the Climax Mine. We both love Leadville so there was no doubt about the location. After taking some time to review options for lodging I decided on the Loft. It was perfect. Two bedrooms - one with a king-size bed if we wanted to sleep together and the other with twin beds if not. A living room and kitchen which was perfect for bringing back take-out and enjoying cold beverages. Since downtown is less than a block away, it is easy to walk to any of the restaurants and shops.
The trek up to the third floor is breathtaking due to the spectacular view of Mounts Elbert and Massive as well as the altitude. Go slow and savor the experience! The treads on the stairs and efficient snow removal provide a safe ascent even during the winter months. (We used to say Leadville has three seasons: July, August and winter.)
The days were the favorite ones I remember about Leadville - sunshine, bright blue sky, white snow, and bitter cold! It doesn't get any better than that...except maybe the picturesque summer days.

Good place overall
Good place to stay, but with difficult parking if you have a big vehicle. Also trying to find this location at night would be very challenging as you are coming in from the back of the house in a tiny back ally.. Three flights of stairs carrying luggage isn’t much fun either. Place is clean, has character, and is walking distance to most shops and restaurants.

Great location
This property is excellent for a family with 2 kids. It is on the third level and required navigating a few flights of outside stairs. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues or daredevil toddlers, but it was perfect for us. We’d stay here again.

Leadville
The property was nice and was in a good location. Our only complaint is that the king size bed was hard. Neither one of use slept that night. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Great location!
The property was just as it was advertised. Nothing super fancy, but it was actually bigger than we expected. It was just two of us, but there is PLENTY of room for a family of four!

Upstairs Loft Governors Mansion Leadville
Good little place. It would have been good to have known that the TV in the main room did not work as expected. After contacting the property manager (by e-mail) I found out that it would work on a few streaming services (no Netflix). This information was not available to me except through contacting the property manager. Also, there were no details on checkout until we were checking out. This was also found out through e-mail contact with the property manager.
I called the property manager with a question about parking and did not receive a call back.
It would have been better to have all the information up front.

Great spot in Leadville
This was a great place for a getaway with family and a dog. It’s right downtown and very comfortable. The Netflix was a nice bonus! The kitchen setup allows for dining in, a nice option when everybody is tired from hiking. Clean and spacious, with lots of homey touches!

Historic
The Governors Mansion is within walking distance of downtown Leadville. It is a nice place to stay for a night or two. You do need to walk up two flights of outdoor stairs to get in so don't bring too much luggage! It is comfortable for 3-4 people.

Leadville Loft
Property was as advertised. It was easy to find and access. Location provided a convenient spot to walk to most of Leadville points of interest. Very comfortable and private apartment that allowed college age student his separate space from parent, which worked well for both.

Great stay
We've stayed at a bunch of places in Leadville and this one is very nice. Great views of all directions, thanks to being up high on the third floor, close to town and quiet, but also right near the Mineral Trail loop so easy to get out of town on foot or bike. The place was clean with everything we needed and beds were super comfy. Would certainly stay here again.
