About this house rental
The City Of Palm Springs ID #3056
Locally known as the Burt Lancaster home. This newly remodeled Palm Springs home has it all, including a fantastic location! This is truly a playground for adults and kids. Bask in the warm Palm Springs sunlight, but don't worry you won't get too hot, because this house has outdoor misters to keep you perfectly refreshed. Grab a friend and practice your putting on this mini 9 hole putting green. If you are looking for something a little more competitive, try a game of ping pong. In the evening, be sure to relax in the spa and enjoy some s'mores by the fire pit. There is an outdoor grill and an amazing new kitchen too.
Our Life of Leisure home is perfect for large family gatherings, corporate retreats, or a friends get away. It has 6 very large bedrooms, 3 full baths, plus a newly designed outdoor shower.
The home is located in central Palm Springs, just a few blocks from the Uptown Design District. We are just 2 blocks from Ruth Hardy Park. Also during December we have a Palm Springs Christmas Tree.

The home was great. The kitchen was fully stocked, the host thoughtful lid out kid friendly goodies for the pool and had lots of entertaining items for them. This place is perfect for a family. I wish the ac could be set higher but was comfortable enough for our stay.

This house is perfect for a family vacation. Great location and plenty of space to hang around the pool! Tim was so on top of everything and super responsive. Would absolutely stay again.

This property is beautiful and well maintained. There is lots of room and other amenities. We enjoying the pool, hot tub, and miniature golf. There were even Christmas trees setup for our holiday stay.

This is a lovely property in a great location. So many thoughtful details. The heated pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kiddos and everyone enjoyed relaxing in the bright and stylish living area and outdoor fire pit area. Close to downtown Palm Springs and lots of hiking/outdoor adventures.

Living room hosted us sitting chatting laughing playing games
Fit pit area was great in the am to get some morning sun
Did have msintence guy pop in for one shower it did work but needs to be fixed and the drain in master didn’t seal for bathing

Super cute property that worked out really well for our get together. They were very attentive when we had questions and accommodating when we had a few requests. We would stay there again!

I stayed here with my wife and two other couples plus all of our kids (one 2yr, one 4yr, two 7yrs). Every room was nice and well separated from the others, which made it perfect for our multi-family group. The outdoor space was amazing. The putt-putt course isn't just a gimmick - it was a real 9-hole course, every hole with it's own tricks!

Internally the house is spacious and easily accommodated four adults and three children. Well equipped if somewhat disorganised kitchen. However given that you choose your rental property online it is essential that the photographs are accurate. Disappointingly the external area is not as shown in the website and are of a much lower standard. E.G.: only one cheap parasol in poor condition, the walk to the outside shower is not to be recommended in bare feet, pool tiling in poor condition, other areas in need of sprucing up, a leaking hot tub etc.. Could be 4 to 5 stars if these were attended to.

We were 9 adult family and friends. We had a great stay! Super big pool, great spa. Ping pong table was fun, even in the wind. Did not take advantage of mini-golf, though. Nice big gas grill, great outdoor space. Will definitely like to return. Good communication with property manager.

We had the best time. Property manager was quick to answer questions. The pool and hot tub were *heavenly* and the house itself is adorable. No notes!

This was a great spacious house for a weekend getaway for 6 ladies. We loved each having our own private room and enough bathrooms to go around. The kitchen was well-stocked and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces from the fire pit in the front to the pool and hot tub in the back. Great central location where we could walk to restaurants and not worry about driving.
Some instructions were confusing - the description of where the lockbox was on arrival wasn't quite accurate and it was a bit hard to get open (luckily a maintenance person was on site and helped out). We also had difficulties getting the hot tub and pool to heat up and needed someone to come out and address it - it turned out the remote had water damage so we had to learn how to adjust the settings manually, but we got a refund for pool heating easily.

Excellent property and location but... very bad mattresses. All bad except master. Given the price one would expect quality bedding. I would gladly give it 5 stars if that was fixed.

Beautiful experience. Highly recommend.

A beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood, our host and property manager were also extremely communicative and accommodating in our stay. Full endorsement!

Roomy, extremely comfortable, outstanding layout. In more than 10 years of VRBO'ing in Palm Springs this was one of the best. Especially good for family.

The house worked pretty well for 6 of us, although one bedroom only had two twin beds. Also only 3 baths for 6 guys. Overall the property was a little dated and in need of some freshening up, but the pool and hot tub were nice and the outdoor TV area was used a lot. House manager was great.

Pool and outdoor areas were the highlight- and they are great!
All beds were not our favorites, backup bathroom supplies were MIA as was a cutting board and dishwasher pods. None of this really got in the way of a wonderful family get together!

It was a fantastic house for our group. Kids had fun with ping pong, putt putt golf, and swimming. Comfortable beds and the house is well equipped.

My family enjoyed the desert lifestyle, taking advantage of the cooler morning air for walking and hiking, then whiling away the hot part of the day under the veranda or in the spacious pool. A 15 minute walk to great coffee at Ernest with the exercise park on the way.

Great mid century modern house; had plenty of room for our group of guys golf trip.
Had some issues getting the hot tub heated but that wasn't a big deal.
Walk-able location to one end of the strip.

Pros first:Nice neighborhood and layout of home.Dog-friendly home.Beautiful parks nearby for walking our dog.Brought our bikes so easy ride to downtown.Great pool/spaOutdoor shower and great indoor fireplace proved to be the top two amenities in the home.Outdoor firepit was nice -we used one night. Some beds were comfortable but not like at a Hilton or Marriott.Putting green was a cute feature.Lots of outdoor seating- there were 10 of us and we all fit at the outdoor table on Thanksgiving which was a plus!Nice landscaping but too many cactus especially bordering the areas. Popped a bike tire (our fault) but all those cactus plants are not necessary.Bright and airy home with lots of sliders to get the open indoor/outdoor feel.Tim the owner stopped by 2nd morning due to spa issues (because apparently dial timer did not work) but super nice guy.Cons and constructive criticism for property owner to improve:Check-in process needs to be updated. Old school lock box difficult to open. Only one key for all 10 of us. Need keyless entry system. No instructions for spa use so not sure what to do- need auto programming. Having to to contact property manager to turn on and off is not convenient.Pilot light shut off second night on one side of house. Property manager came out early Thanksgiving morning and due to broken knob on valve she had a hard time lighting it but succeeded. Unfortunately, we had to turn off a few hours later due to a strong gassy odor. Too inconvenient to send someone out Friday to try and fix again bc we would all be on hike and our dog was in house. Everyone using those two bathrooms/showers just opted to use the other indoor one on west side of home or the outdoor shower. Oven door latch was broken. We had to be very careful so it would not detach when opening. Not ideal when cooking two pies, a turkey and stuffing but we made do. By the way, lots of plates etc but only about 6 settings of silverware- need more!No hand soap (just sanitizer) in any of bathrooms so went out and bought our own. Little things like that are important! Some of beds were SUPER uncomfortable- the master and first room on left especially. One bed on west side was really a double not a queen like stated. REALLY important to have comfortable mattresses in ALL bedrooms.Nice home but needs some work and updates. Not exactly life of leisure more life of high maintenance.

We loved everything about this home! I used this home to host a mini-family reunion (wife, kids, a couple in-laws). There was a bed for everyone, the furnishings and amenities were perfect. Having the misters running kept the patio cool on a 104F day, which made my mother-in-law happy. I also enjoyed the location, as we enjoyed restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive, we did several hikes in the nearby mountains (as well as Joshua Tree). We will be back!

Perfect Getaway Home!!!
This home was perfect for our large family group! It was clean, spacious and we had a terrific stay! The pool area and hot tub were used every day and the outdoor shower was a hit with the men in the group. We had a couple issues that came up as can with a house and the property manager dealt with them expediently! Overall, I would recommend this property!

Perfect Palm Springs Couples Getaway
We had an awesome experience celebrating for a quick weekend away. The Burt Lancaster house looks just like the photos and we enjoyed hanging outside— poolside, hot tub, ping pong, putting green, outdoor TV, outdoor shower and misters! The owner and the house manager were super responsive and helpful from start to finish. Six bedrooms, only 3 bathroom (that’s the one downside if you have up to 10 people) but we made due! Super closer to downtown Palm Springs. We can’t wait to go back!!

Wonderful house
Pool was great, amenities were great, kitchen had everything we needed, excellent location. Beds were softer than some of us preferred, but I enjoyed the quality of pillows and comforters.
