We had a lovely relaxed stay, plenty to see and do in the area

Lovely location, fully equipped kitchen, having 3 bathrooms was useful

4 friends in their 50’a away together, was expecting two single beds, which was actually a daybed with a pull-out bed underneath that turned it into more of a double bed. Fortunately, there was a sofa bed in the lounge and we found spare bedding, so all were happy and it certainly didn’t spoil our weekend!

Great weekend getaway in a cottage

Being my first stay in cottage, I was apprehensive with the booking, but the host on this occasion was amazing and stayed in touch promptly answering our queries

Outside the property you get alot of flies, I think that's because if the lake but I wasn't prepped for it

Beautiful location and everything you need included.

The location was perfect for us and the facilities on site were excellent - we used the outdoor pool every day. The host left us some goodies which were very well received. The kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of logs for the fire.

We struggled a little with the showers and getting the temperature right on the water but there were 4 of us all trying to use the facilities. We managed in the end :) after reading the instructions properly. The accommodation guide was very helpful.

Nice cottage..., decent location

We chose this accomodation for its proximity to the nearby lakes, thats what we liked the most about this cottage. On itself the cottage was well build with decent materials and appliciances, no issues there.

Disspapointing was that it took a while to contact the owner and get into the cottage, but, once we did contact him he offfered to pay our evening meal at the resort restaurant, which was an unpresedented gesture, and much appreciated! Hence the decent score... We did not like the state of the cottage, as said, it as nicely build and had good material applicances and products, but it seemed no one cared for it for a while since there were at least 30 spiders counted in the cottage. Also, the double bed was rather narrow for two adults. That said, I believe the cottage fits better with guests staying longer, for us it was only a two night stay over, and thus we didnt get to enjoy the facilities of the park. All in all a decent cottage, and a friendly owner.

The cottage is beautiful and the location fabulous.

Location is amazing. Cottage is very spacious and beautiful inside. Decoration is very tasteful. The guest is very well catered for in regards to the additional items in the cottage. There were some lovely additional touches such as complimentary biscuits and tea. The info book on the area and cottage was fab too - very useful. Communication before the visit was also great.

Great two nights at spaceous summerhouse

Soft towels. All information on area together in a map. Kitchen well equipped. 3 very clean bathrooms.

Information on possibility to use Spa or not.

Arrive in the day

All amenities were there. Nice out look.

Arrived at 8pm and struggled to find the accommodation. Could have done with an outside light being on. Dishwasher was full up when we arrived, clean but I shouldn't have to empty it.

Beautiful modern cottage in a lovely setting.

We loved the cottage, which was really comfortable and well designed. We loved the little balcony off the main bedroom with views over the stream and fields and enjoyed being able to sit outside and have breakfast. Everything was really well cared for and the rest of the estate, which the cottage was located on, was beautiful.

Superb

Delightful cottage close to onsite amenities. The photos don’t do this cottage justice . The owners have put a lot of attention to the detail and furnishing of this cottage including cushions, rugs, books, music CD’s and videos and board games. We were a party of 6 adults and made use of the bike and kayak hire onsite and the outdoor pool.

Lovely weekend and would definitely recommend

Lovely cottage with good size patio and lawn. Owners had obviously tried to think of everything you might need and there were plenty of inside and outside games. Instructions on how to use appliances was very detailed. Plenty of towels provided and a whole tray of tea/ coffee and biscuits was a nice touch. The downstairs areas were spacious with nice decor, 3 good bathrooms useful with 6 adults. The estate is so peaceful and relaxing and the facilities superb. We did hire bikes from the activity hub and used the outdoor pool every day (must book)

Small niggle - - Limited storage space as only one wardrobe on the landing between 3 bedrooms so if you were staying a whole week might be more of a problem to unpack. However I understand you can’t have everything and 3 bathrooms is great to have.

Post triathlon chilled out Cotswold lower Mill Estate stay

We had some issues with plumbing in bathroom but managed through the weekend stay. Finding cottage was a little tricky and some of the roads were very narrow for reversing. Recommend to owner to use '3 words' to help with anyone via What3word app on pre arrival info.

Perfect family getaway

Carps Rise is a wonderful property, ideal for our family of 4 but can accommodate more. The hosts have thought of everything, information all left in a folder on the table. It’s literally like walking into a private cosy home. The treats left on the table are a nice touch. It’s very handy to have a washing machine too. It’s a beautiful estate; peaceful clean and very welcoming. Our boys loved the outdoor pool, which is warm even though it outdoors. All covid safe. The on-site restaurant Ballihooclub is wonderfully set out for all weathers and is only 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Roy emailed very easy directions into the estate and I loved the idea that the estate is private with coded gates. We will defiantly be returning again in the future. Thanks Roy & Sarah
